    Mod's Bar, Soi 6

How much is the barfine at Mod's Bar in Soi 6?

I asked them. They said 3,000 Baht early plus 10 lady drinks.

1,500 Baht barfine at 9 pm plus whatever remaining drinks from the quota of 10.

So if you went at 9 pm and the girl has had 4 drinks from someone else, then you will have to buy her 6 lady drinks plus 1,500 Baht barfine fee.

Does any of this sound right?

I went to Flirt. They said 1,500 Baht barfine at 10 pm (They open an hour later at 4 pm.) No need to buy drinks. But one or two drinks would be appreciated.

I don't think any of you are wrong. I just look at the link or article that was cited it doesn't directly talk about the topic Condo prices.

If you been here long enough some many have and still are somewhat in the dark. This article and thousand like it by what the government is doing or going to do is just that articles of words to put themselves in the light as if they are actually going to do something which in the end it equals Nothing but hot air expats like myself called it " smoke and mirrors ".

The government is just too fragmented self rewarding to be an actually enforce. They do a great job of standing together for picture and stuff but once done and I've heard it from officials in Pattaya, basically see you next year then they all do their own thing. So leaders in Bangkok, Pattaya, can get up on their soap box sing that tune cause they know enough will buy it as for Thais thinking they read or see the story on the tube " they on top of it they know " This is Thailand.

Years ago the former K, on his Birthday gets up and does a speech and this guy was respected. He noted about events from articles like this spoke about Duel pricing same as the last PM when he took over in a coup how it gives a black eye to the nation and people. Has anything really changed? Their Supreme court over two years ago ruled on an Expat lawsuit duel pricing in Hospital private and public the written decision was not on right or wrong nor their own law but Expats / Foreigners are better off therefore should pay more! This type of Thai thinking runs deep reason one hears in accidents it is always the foreigner fault I once sad in with a friend in Na Jomtien station after the Thai admitted she cause the accident, no license no nothing, hear the officer say to my friend you should pay up " you have it and you will feel better ".

Article after article year after year what goes around comes around yet they are still overcharging, Taxis not using meter, this has been in the news several times this year alone. There was a case recently where even a Thai was overcharged the guy wouldn't turn on the meter he / she filmed it yet we are still in coversation.

Pattaya, article after article each week about Arabs on Beach and 2nd Road racing, films about police citing rental bikes that take 90 of parking on Beach road yet one can't still find a space.

As for condo, here I've dealt with a number of offices no one is licensed or trained there isn't a real comparison in place or protection for buyers. Years back my free time I go around looking since I also have 30 years in the real estate market back home for my family. Prices here are over inflation in my opinion not by any demand so and so got this so I'm going for it too. I remember years back I was down on Soi 6, Pussy Cat bar just taken over by nightwish group talking and buying a drink for one pleasant girl at best a 5, I ask what is your price she said 1000, I said I always paid 700 I ask her why 1000 when it is 700, cause everyone else is getting 1000.

This nonsense filter to Condos, over ten years I purchased a tiny condo right off the beach in Jomtien, nothing fancy a small development which are the best, there were lots of units for rent and for sale I did my homework if not using an agency many know the price but it is like top secret stuff. I noticed I had a better chance buying from a Thai due to the need to sell and even for the fact 51% had to be owned by Thais, many expats seller had this appreciation factor in their pricing. I first noticed the sale from this building on the board at Big see extra, I noticed a number of cards by the same lady she ended up representing a number of Thais sellers I went to the building myself asking the office shopping for a place for my brother to rent for a few months once they figure out I wasn't Thai, I started to get different prices for and when I ask how much to buy, you get the head toes treatment sign of sizing you up how much should I throw out.

A rule of thumb, most if not all these projected are funded by a bank, off the ground the developer must come up with 20% committed buyers there after the bank will lend the other 80% Reason you see old signs 6% appreciation for 3 years. You get a entry level price if you are inside the 20% then as they sell out the price goes up 2%, another 2%, so if you do your homework, patiences, ask when the complex was built and when the seller purchased his unit, then try to figure out why he / she is selling and how long on market if they are hard up might go for a bit over what they paid. That is how I got my first condo. But no article a person see or read going to mean the problem is going to be fixed, I still waiting for the last PM who claim he will fix the traffic problem in a month.

Visited Soi Chaiyapoon last night. It's hard to imagine, but there are quite a few new bars on the street. Lots of ladies. Some of the bars are more than 50% ladyboy.

But not many customers. I sat in a bar for an hour and saw three customers walk in.

Then I went to LK Metro and went to Paradise a Gogo. Talent was pretty thin. Some amazingly old ladies lurking about. I went with a civvie, and she found a couple of pearls among the swine.

Bottom line: right now is the best time to go to Pattaya, the ladies are fairly desperate for customers.

Maybe you would have a point if this was not Thailand, where the government is the main entity of dual-pricing and ripoffs. Foreigners are charged exorbitantly more than Thais at national parks and attractions. Taxi drivers, vendors, and condo sellers are not in charge of those prices. The government that just told you it is wrong to rip foreigners off is in the business of ripping foreigners off.

There was also a bill in progress that foreigners should be charged 300 baht when entering the country. I am in a facebook group about dual pricing in Thailand. Here is a picture of article from 4 years ago when the government said we must let expats pay the same price as citizens since they live here too. Since that article in 2020, it has been crickets on that matter.

    Looking for this girl.

This girl used to work at Solo Club on Soi 6 last year. Her name is Noy. Then she disappeared.

I have reason to believe that she is now working at an agogo in Walking Street. I'm 99% sure.

Does anyone know which agogo she is working at?

I'm pretty sure Pin-Up and Windmill can be excluded.

In case, it is not obvious in the pictures, she is very tall. You can't miss her.

    Thanks in advance.

Correct. The expensive one is the LT. If you're taking a girl upstairs at the bar the BF price is still pretty much the same from years ago because you'll be done and the girl is back working immediately.

Yes, usually the few top ones can totally give the bar the party atmosphere that draws customers in and make them spend. If you take those away the bar sales will be affected big time.

Not teasing you. We are having a discussion. We can disagree without being disagreeable.

If you want to get nasty (and there many that do) you can do it in the Rants section where the Administrator gives a wide berth to discuss issues. But even there my posts do not alway make it as I tend to have a more intense approach to interpersonal interactions online.

As for my thoughts about others who don't like my posts, my give a care factor is very low in that regard. The ignore function is available for all to use. I get too much positive feed back to be worried about a vocal minority of critics that wish to find fault with my posting.

Agreed. We are not talking inflation we are talking price increases. My Bad.

But you want to say Thai Men pay less for pussy than Farangs. This is both true and not true.

Their are individual posters who advocate that they can pay the same amount that Thai Men pay using the same sources. Because they speak Thai. There is always two economies in any place where there is a large amount of tourism. That is life and the only way to get around it is to up your game.

You are right. It has to do with the price market participants are willing to pay.

Absolutely. For you maybe. Not for me. Note I was on Soi 6 earlier this week. Posted about it,.

Short time for 1000 THB has been my base price for over a year now here in Pattaya. In fact, there are many people who clown me over it. On occasion, I move up to 1200 - 1500 THB. I have even jumped up to 2000 THB to get what I want. Each time I have paid more than my base amount it has been worth every single Baht.

Now, I don't hang my hat when it it comes to Short Time on Soi 6 because there are so many places from which to hire prostitutes in Pattaya. But if Soi 6 is where you like to be, then you are not really complaining about the pussy market in Pattaya you are complaining about the pussy market on Soi 6. Even the first month or two I arrived in in Pattaya I did not spend much time on Soi 6. The rest of the participants in the pussy market of Pattaya do not either. Because if that was the case then the other venues they would not survive. I do not see any announcement that Top Tier Agogos are closing right and left. The are significantly more expense than Soi 6.

I am a trader. We have an expression no crystal ball it means let the market tell you what it is going to do, don't guess. Let's check the numbers after the high season 2024/2025 and see how it goes.

You proffer the supposition that Pattaya has priced itself out of the market for 50% of the visitors to Pattaya. Would care to share what visitors those are?

But they do and I present anecdotal evidence that they do. Just pull up YouTube and search for "Passport Bros in Pattaya". You will find a plethora of videos outlining at the benefits of vacationing in Pattaya. I will submit that the prices they find in the pussy market on Soi 6 and other places is far superior than the one they left on the other half of the world.

Men have money all over the world. They are grown and they will spend it how they choose regardless of your thought on it. The girls have the pussy. They will sell it at the price they choose regardless of your thoughts on it. Therein lies the crux of your problem. You cannot set the prices in the pussy market on Soi 6 you can only choose to pay or not to pay. Or as you have pointed out you can negotiate. But others have pointed out that they feel a difficult negotiation affects performance. I agree. I might ask a girl to accept 500 THB less on Soi 6. So that means I do not even entertain offers of 2000 THB and higher because I just don't see girls on Soi 6 that are worth 2000 THB for Short Time there.

I have friends who used to be fans of a place close to where they live in North America. Now they choose to expend all of the expenses you outline to visit Pattaya (airline ticket, hotel costs, food costs) because they feel the experience they receive here in Pattaya is superior and represents an excellent value. Many people all over the world have the same thoughts. The world is a very big place with many different places to visit for sex tourism. The lost of one single punter (you) is not going to affect the tourist numbers one single bit.

It does not matter what you think is acceptable. You do not have the power to set the prices for pussy in Pattaya. There are many other market participants other than yourself. You can certainly complain about it all you like. But there is an expression about wishing into one hand and putting sand into another and seeing which one fills up first.
