Is Colombia and Thailand still considered the best places for prices?

I won't be in Medellin for a few days, but I can tell you now that Thailand is much cheaper.

My advice to others who may be in Centro is to just avoid these kind of situations if you see them happening. Obviously these are targeted attacks against people who had some beef to settle. If you are minding your own business, you are not likely to be a target of this type of attack. And if you see an attack happening don't get involved just act as if it wasn't happening and continue on with your normal routine.

As with anything there is always some risk no matter what. It is best to litigate the risk since it cannot be stopped completely. Do you not eat mcdonald's because you're afraid of mad cow disease? Do you not swim at the beach due to fear of a shark attack?? Do you jot fly in an airplane because it may crash??

For me, the bottom line is this. I am in Medellin. I am enjoying my experience and this debate about prices paid for girls doesn't affect my trip.

Higher prices at peak times and lower prices at slower times, that's the definition of dynamic pricing by the girls. Now, I think that you are making the point that some guys pay peak price all the time despite the ability to pay a lower price at slower periods. But that may be case that some guys don't want to haggle over $10 or $20 when they see their favorite girls because they feel uncomfortable doing that.

Now I have never heard stories about girls laughting at some guys who pay a lot and admiring guys who pay them much lower prices. I think that is what guys who pay low prices like to think. Agreed, many parts of centro are perfectly safe to visit. The chance you get mugged there during daytime is lower than in El Poblado (debate me on this if you wish). Centro is packed with people on weekdays, there might be pick pockets, but violent attacks don't happen in centro when streets are packed with everyday people.

In the daytime, there are a lot of people walking around and I don't think it is unsafe to visit in the daytime.
