I have heard the term Conservative Tolerance used in reference to Thailand. I understand it to be we will let Farangs do as a Farangs do while in our country as long is they obey our laws. But I will be damned if I am going to let the rather unconventional arrangements that exist in Pattaya to become the norm in the greater part of the country.

Although I love in Pattaya, I travel a lot. Which means, I am in the same position as someone who visits Pattaya for a short time, which translates into hooking up with as many ladies as possible.

Perhaps if you spend time here on an extensive basis (and I know why you do not, something about your fear of the tax system in Thailand) you would know the difference between being a International Trick and a Sexpat. So, until you seek competent tax advice for your personal situation you will have to remain a International Trick as your choice is to spend only a limited amount of time in Thailand in order to avoid becoming a tax resident here.

International Tricks think they know it all. Sexpats know they know a lot more than International Tricks (no matter how long they have been here) but Sexpats are not arrogant enough to stop learning about the place they live in. Nor do they make sweeping statements full of generalizations that can be disproven with very little effort.

My final point is to ask: Who comes to Pattaya (of all places) looking for traditional monogamous relationships? That is where Farangs get got. I personally don't think anyone is going to find that here in Pattaya. I don't want it and I don't offer it. I offer a good time on a consistent basis with the girl who claims me. She is allowed to spend as much time as they want with me. When she is not around, you think I am beating my dick until she returns in order to have sex? Really? GTF! The problem comes when their boyfriend or husband is not around. Typically, the Thai lady will have saved some money, and spends it freely when her Farang is gone.

But, if the lady is explicit that the Farang is a sponsor and not a boyfriend, then no problem, I will dive in. About 50% of the ladies I travel with have sponsors, which require them to develop elaborate lies. Or, sometimes, I will take 2, and each will tell their sponsor that I am the boyfriend of the other lady, and they are just tagging along.

Sometimes ladies with sponsors have lots of frustration with the sponsor, will come over to drink and spill their guts about how they are feeling, and then fuck me to relieve tension. Other times, they will ask for help in answering messages from the guy.

Some ladies are temporarily between Thai boyfriends, that's the one time that they may be horny, because, for that brief moment, they don't have a dick when they want one. But most bargirls have a regular Thai man, especially those with absent Farang boyfriends.

In my opinion Pattaya is nothing like anything to be found in the Dominican Republic or the Philippines. This fact causes people like Oakie and others to become haters. They target me specifically (without knowledge to Thailand like Oakie) but I am living so much better than they are. I move around and enjoy my life. I can walk out of my building I ballin. I can chill and have food delivered to my room and never step outside of it. I have a life that is SO much better than the Dominican Republic here in Pattaya, Thailand that came and never left.

Honestly, I don't understand why those chosen the Dominican Republic and the Philippines respectively to live have anything negative to say about where I have made my choice to live. These are individuals who made their own bed and now have to lie in it.

My advice to a fellow monger is to enjoy your chosen way to roll. No need to take old baggage with you when you travel and enjoy new places. No need to sell Pattaya. It was already one of the world's most popular monger destinations long before you "discovered" it last year! LOL.

Sure there is a substantial segment of farang-thai relationship where money does not play a role, or at least it is not on top of the list of reasons the marriage. I would guess quite common among younger same-age couples as well as well-off educuated professional people who met in work circles.

But I agree with you in other segments money is if not the main factor, at least fairly high. Especially if age difference is high, or wealth / income difference is high. Even when it is the main factor, it may not be explicit, and even if it does not appear to be high, it may be more important in subtle implicit way as it looks. In this culture almost everything is more or less transactional, and if there is an opportunity to make it such, it will be. Even many ladies who say they love their husband, after talking them a while, they implicitly say that they actually love them because he is so good to her (buy house car and allowance no need to work) in money terms.

Odd it may be, however not uncommon at all at least in my experience. Conundrum is then whether it actually is odd if it is common.

If you end up spending enough time with girls who have sponsors (call them boyfriends or husbands if you like) to collect statistics, you will soon see the full spectrum of behaviours at both ends of the money trail.

Op's scenario is pretty common (call it fool sponsor. Girl open towards customer scenario). Guy is happily in love with his dream loyal thai girl and completely trusts her, thus not expecting to see anything but a face of the girl (if that), not asking to see the surrounding. The girl is completely open towards her side hustle (s) about her relationship with the guy, and does not even ask the guy to get out to talk in privacy.

You will see few permutations depending on the behaviour of the guy.

- being completely fool and trusting the girl in full.

- being paranoid and tracking the location of the phone of the girl and always wanting to see the place where she is at the call, driving the girl nuts.

- being aware of the situation that he is sponsoring a hooker and ok with it I. E not minding what the girl does while he not in Thailand. Probably being happy as he perceives her income here to have negative effect on his sponsorsip fees (though it is just a perception).

And the behaviour of the girl.

- completely open towards customer about the sponsor (s).

- completely denying existence of sponsor / BF / hb towards customer and obviously not willing to talk in presence of customer.

One of my current regulars (married but hb only spending 1-2 mo a year on holidays in Thailand) has the fool hb that is trusting her in full so that the lady can take the call pretty much anywhere, he only seeing her face. Have been on 2-3 wk trips with her and all good. Call in morning and evening. She insists either I or she gets out the room for the call though.

Another regular completely denies existence of sponsor / BF (though I know from other sources she has had at least 3 sponsors that could be classified as BF during the 3 years I have been seeing her, to my knowledge only one at a time), taking her to Europe too. Guys seemingly fools, though she got burnt by one seeing her in TF. She never leaves her room before the good night call with the BF.

Another one has multiple sponsors, who I think know she is freelancing while they are not in Thailand I. E kind of open sponsorship relationship. She is open about the multiple sponsors, though don't take calls from them while with me, just WA or line.

This is Pattaya, you see full spectrum of human behaviours here. What may look odd to someone, is compltely normal to someone else.
