Mixed experiences in SR. A few beer bars down the Sok San road didn't appeal to me so I hung out near the Temple Bar Pub Street. Inside the bar there were quite a few freelancers, mostly LBs. A quick report on my time in Siem Reap.

A massage is five dollars for 30 minutes. An additional 30 minutes is an additional five dollars. I had no issues discussing prices for a handjob with most of the massage parlours along Night Market St and along Sok San Rd. The lowest I could find was $20 for the handjob and then the additional price for the massage. It was very hard to negotiate down past $20 and I also was not able to find anyone that would do a blowjob.

With High Season in full swing and the return of tourists The Pub Street area is replete with blatant Ladyboys who prey on tourists. I go to Siem Reap a lot. I actually go just for the temples, food and snooker.

The p4 p scene strikes me as less than voluntary (drugs or debt) and should be avoided especially for a non local who doesn't know the scene.

The chicken shacks seem like women working off a debt, a debt their families most likely incurred. Read up on money lending in Cambodia.

Healthcare in Cambodia is not exactly easy so it is not like the women are getting tested on a regular basis. It would explain Nyezhov's post about STDs being rampant. Drive by Khunthak Bopha Hospital on any given morning and see the lines all the way down the street.

The police are highly corrupt and will put you in a jackpot in a second. They creep me out like no other place. I have a friend whose family is all cops.
