Hey guys.

My first ever mongering trip to Thailand is almost here! I'll have two nights in BK before I fly to Phuket. As my time in BK is pretty short I'll be doing the obvious / easy stuff like Nana Plaza and any other bars walking distance that take my fancy.

Are there any venues there that insist on long pants for entry? Obviously it's going to be hot out there and I would usually prefer to wear shorts in a climate like that. I have smart shorts and shirts ie I wouldn't be out in cargo shorts, vest and flip flops but would it be better to wear long pants?

Any cell provider kiosk can do it for you in about 3 minutes. AIS, DTAC, True, etc. The first kiosks you will see are after you exit your flight and are walking to immigration. More kiosks in baggage claim.

They will show you a card of a few popular plans, but there are actually many plans to select from so be aware of what you want. Duration? Calls or only data? Data rate? Total data? Personally, I select unlimited 5 G data because I sometimes stream movies.

There are a ton of guys who have been in Bangkok a lot longer than me. I just got here this week. However my hotel is next to thermae on porpose. If you live outside the country then loads of online retailers now sell e-sims covering Thailand. Easy to use and download before a trip and then switch on when you land and you have data straight away so very convenient. I have used Saily, Airalo and BNE eSIM before. All have cheap deals. Just shop around for the data / length you want.

If you are talking about getting a local e-sim and living in Thailand not sure what is available.

Yes. My last SIM card was a one-off 30 days 5 giga bought at the airport. I let it expire. Nevertheless I am still able to use LINE on that phone through any WiFi. Chatting, adding (with QR code), etc. Appearing, by my setting, as if I am in Pattaya. Line, nowadays, is worth as an anonymous sort of WhatsApp, nothing less, nothing more. This seems like a very short walk from Hillary 3. Which I've heard also has some freelancers. Are those the two main places, or are there others in that general vicinity? I know Thermae is really close. But any others that you'd suggest?

I am guessing, they are all similar. But, in both places you need to spend seriously or tip seriously.

It's quite possible that tipping along may not work as the management also will want their fair share of the money.

But, the quality of girls are higher and more educated. It's possible to find even girls who are mothers but they also feel a bit more sophisticated.

Hi mate, in my experience, it's always a mix of factors that makes an experience more or less memorable. I've had nights where I spent hours buying drinks for girls in gogo bars and then went back to the hotel alone (by choice). But just drinking and chatting with them was so much fun that I'the happily repeat those nights a hundred times.

Other times, I ended up taking a girl out because she convinced me, thinking it might not be a great experience, only to be pleasantly surprised and have an amazing time with her at the hotel. A couple of them I'm still in touch with and meet whenever I'm lucky enough to travel to Thailand.

I think it's a combination of things that makes a good time happen: our own moodwhether we're tired or full of energythe lady's mood, chemistry, the music, the drinks. And so on. These days, I've reached a point where I try to enjoy even an average experience. I focus on the fact that I'm with a 9 or a 10 and remind myself of the good times I've had before (otherwise, I wouldn't take her out in the first place). That mindset helps me appreciate the positive side of the experience.

Did I lose money? Sure. But considering how much I've given my divorced wife, a few hundred pounds here and there doesn't seem so bad.)).
