Super bowl and Halloween are both great times in Sosua. Few thousand guys and more women then you can count. Many places have special events and the quality of women goes up. Some the best talent only show up for these holidays. Every hotel and airbnb is full.

Posts: 18757People want a professional doctor, or even a professional mechanic, but do not want a professional hooker. Somehow the hookers with the least experience are supposed to be the best. Go figure.

Broad, but common definitions of those terms here.

I'm not familiar with this terminology as of yet. Based on my experience I thought a rookie would be the best to deal with then again I could be wrong duh.

As the title says it much to do about nothing. Superbowl and Halloween really just brings a bunch of dudes to town. People use to talk about you get semi pro chicks who don't usually come to town like college students etc but that not the case hasn't been like that in over ten years. It's the same chicks that are always there the only extra chicks you see are maybe the ones who go to Sosua once a month in February and October that once a month is the holiday. Also Superbowl nothing special is done for Halloween really only Greg from Flip Flop does anything worth while. If your not at his events then Halloween is just another weekend just with more dudes.

I never visited Sosua during superbowl weekend but I've been during Halloween. Do you prefer the Superbowl weekend vibe? Or the Halloween weekend party scene? Anyone else can share their opinions.

I'll definitely check out those places on my next visit especially Kiki Massage I can care less about the happy endings. I'm in my 50's I can always use a good massage.

Posts: 2655You butchered the name of the best restaurant in Sosua. The name of the restaurant is Dolci & Sapori.

Posts: 2449Good times in Rio San Juan and Maimon
If you have time, and a compatible lady, there are a number of places within striking distance of Sosua, that you can enjoy, if you like to get away from tourists.
A couple of weekends ago our dedicated publico driver (cracked windshield and all, LOL) took us to Playa Grande about 8 km East of Rio San Juan. It's a cheap and cheerful Dominican version of Cabarete. Good beach, lots of restaurants and great cooked to order seafood. A place where I came back nicely surprised at how little it all cost. Meals (I had lobster) and beer for us two and our driver, around 4000 p, taxi 3500 p there and back and he spent 9 hours with us.
Last weekend it was birthday time again. This time no grande fiesta, I told Princesa, just you and me (and our driver LOL) for a good dinner. I recommended Michaels in Charamicos, or the new Baylee's spot, but she wanted me to see more of the Puerto Plata area she knows well. Oh, ok!
She mentioned Maimon, for fresh seafood, which Mr. E referred to in an earlier post here. So let's go.
Again another surprise. We got there at 7 O'clock Friday Night, the place was empty, and so were the restaurants. Where is everybody? Princessa's recommendation, a huge restaurant, had one table only occupied, no trouble parking, but a big kitchen and happy staff that looked like they knew what they were doing, so what the hell!
Great mea! They weren't busy so we had the staff at our table being entertained by our driver. They cooked a special sampler plate to order for me, all my favorites, and fresh whole fish for the others.
Meals and beer for 3, 3800 p. Taxi there and back 3000 p, 5 hours total.
We were supposed to hit the famous Miami bar on PP Malecon for drinks on the way back, but it has changed name and ownership and looked run down! We were happy with full bellies just to go home, but our driver was disappointed his night out had ended!

My favorite restaurant is Dulce Sapora an excellent place for a wide variety of food. Located on the same side of street as Rumbas but on next block near Sosua Lights. The baby backs ribs were my go to. Their bake goods were wonderful. If you like to gamble the playa Chiquita casino has 200 peso black jack tables and Roulette. A great way to kill time while chilling. Kiki massage is great way to relax. A professional massage for a 1000 pesos. No happy endings but a great massage.
Lastly a shot out to the local expats. They always try to help.

Posts: 225Nice reports for this trip. Good to read all the positive in the Su versus the other chumps that come on here and try to knock it down. Those who know how to roll reap the rewards. Let the trolls and haters keep their ladyboys. And, 9 chicas in 3 days is impressive for anybody especially at 70. I tip my hat to that. You must have Vitamin V on an IV drip. Glad you're keeping it rolling buddy.

Posts: 6570Sosua has the potential to be no. 1. Close to home, a good beach, decent food and accommodation. Now just bring on the girls.
