Inside, I was treated like a VIP by the staff. It is possible everyone just assumed I actually paid 5000 baht. Without me asking, security moved me to a location with a better view of the stage. All the guards were unnecessarily cheerful towards me, escorting me to the washroom, etc. One almost started dancing multiple times while facing me. It was a little awkward. I guess they were all looking for tips. When I left, 3-4 doormen demanded tips. One held me by the arm. I hate the armholding. I have seen doormen at other gogo bars do it too. I just said "ladies here do not like me" (a bit of an exaggeration) and left while they continued to demand tips.

On to the most important part, the ladies. I do not understand the craze around Pin Up. I was expecting the place would be packed with 9's and 10's but it was all 6-8's. Clearly not worth the crazy barfines and ST / LT prices. An earlier poster suggested coming around 8 PM, maybe I was late. I bought drinks for 3 ladies. The most beautiful one said she only drinks in the bar and does not go with customers. Second one asked for 8,000 baht for LT but agreed to 7,000. Damage would be 10,000 after barfine. Maybe more in case the 5 LD rule was brought up later. There was zero sense to that cost because she was not even a solid 8 in my book. I just said "I am too poor for this" and had her go. I do not remember the talk with the third one but that too was lukewarm.

I was denied entry at Fahrenheit and Shark. No talk of an entry fee by the doormen. They just shook their heads at me and looked away. Embarrassing. These bars will never be seeing me again.

I could have gone to XS and said I already paid the entry fee at Pin Up. But I had enough of the gogo bar doormen for the night.

Damage: about 2300 baht including doorman tip, my drink, lady drinks and a couple tips here and there.
