It's great to be in Santo Domingo with internet that actually works. I may even get some work done this weekend.

It's funny, but my thought at the time was that it was simply a misunderstanding and we'd have breakfast and I'd take her back and fuck her and everyone would be happy. The photos she showed me were great. She didn't look anything like her photos. She had such a shitty attitude when I met her, that there was no way I was doing anything with her. The result was a filet mignon and (you're going to laugh) another angry text this morning about how I thought she wasn't good enough for me. I didn't read the whole thing. I just blocked her ass. My daughters would be rolling their eyes right now if they saw this, they always tell me that I when I encounter assholes, I always try and make peace with them and then in the end I finally get pissed off and then do exactly what I should have done in the beginning (like tell them to kiss my ass) and I definitely should have just blocked her ass in the first place.

Someone else mentioned that I paid 5000 pesos. I think I may have paid one that when I couldn't remember where I put my wallet and she spent 30 minutes looking for it with me. She was only 4000, I gave her 1000 because I kept her at my place until my wallet was found. With the exception of the one I took to dinner and dancing and drinking, the most I paid on this trip was 4300 (I usually add 300 for the moto so when they ask I tell them them they already have it). As I said, I don't barter, so if you're budget conscious, you can probably do much better. The last one kept asking me what I was willing to pay and when I didn't respond, she said 3000 and I immediately said yes. She then said, "you were going to take me no matter what I say". I said, "yes". I'm sure she was just kicking herself when she left, I got every dollar worth.

You're not the first guy to find himself in the middle of our petty flame wars, here on the Sosua Forum. We have lost a lot of good posters over the years!

I don't believe I've ever weighed in about how much a fellow hobbyist pays for his pleasure, or how he gets off. I enjoy honest Reports, the good, bad, and the ugly! LOL. I'm a firm believer in to each his own, but. I will take issue with the posters that denigrate Sosua expats and fellow mongers, as those who have never traveled, who enjoy the "humiliation" of being ripped off because, like battered wives, they just don't know any better!

After 15 years of such posts, it gets a little stale, and needs to be called out, because aside from a couple of posters, nobody wants to bother posting a positive report to see it sliced. Diced, and personally insulted. It's basically killed this board for Sosua fans! And that's a shame!

Why do they keep it up from halfway around the world? That's above my pay scale, but I've seen many who got their superior asses handed to them, by "lowly hoes", and hell hath no fury like a monger scorned!

So enjoy what you do! Take advice from anonymous internet posters with grain of salt, keep a sense of humor about it all, and ignore the critics!

Sosua is a hit or miss place for casual visitors, but with a little common sense, there's no need for 90% of the "misses". And I remind mongers all the time, the hardest word to say in Sosua is "No".

I never could understand how some guys would come on a sex tourism website and brag only about how they are getting free pussy in area notorious for prostitution. For most that's the only thing they blog about.

I'm still on moderation from 10 years ago when I was excoriated by the few negative nabobs that used to control the Sosua Forum, for saying anything nice about Sosua, or the locals.

A couple of issues still burn into their psyche to this day, like the time I bought a coffee pot for my regular, who's place I used to stay at when in town. That became "a stupid gringo buys kitchen appliance for hoes" LOL.

Another time also years ago, I allowed how I let my regular (7 years at that point) carry my shit when we were out and about. I wear shorts, carry no man bag, and like to travel light, so I give her my wallet, glasses, cigarettes, lighter, phone, charger, keys, a pen, meds and walking around money, for concho fare and stuff she needs from the colmado for kitchen supplies, to carry in that portable safe she calls her bolsa. That became "stupid gringo let's hoes carry his wallet! LOL.

All these years later, they still bring it up, see Mr. E's post here 3 days ago! LOL.

He does the same with OldKool, who made the mistake of letting his female companion share his lunch! Years ago! LOL.

My last day here. Well, when I woke up this morning, I was done with this place. By now, 3 am on Friday, I might come back. I'll give my final thoughts on this place in another post. In the last few days, I spoke to a couple of people that were here that basically grew up in the ghetto like me. Though I'm not quoting either of them, they both pretty much summed up Sosua. They basically said that Sosua is the ghetto we grew up in. Though many of us have left the hood, we always come back to what we know.

That actually hit home for me. I'm not rich, but I make a decent amount of money. I always feel like a sell out and spend probably more time than I should doing things to not feel like a sell out. Sosua is everything that I spent my entire existence trying to get away from, and here I am, back again. It really does remind me of East 14th Street in Oakland when I was growing except the women are better looking and I don't have to dodge bullets. I think I've outgrown this place and this may be it for me. The person I spoke to yesterday basically said, "youve moved past this, why are you going backwards. There are classier places to get laid.

Anyway, on to fucking. Woke up this morning to a nasty text from someone that was angry because she spoke to me on the street and I ignored her. She said I made her look like an idiot in front of her friends. I apologized and invited her to breakfast with me. I explained that I didn't mean to be rude, but I am harassed all day, I just tune everyone out. So, we go to breakfast and she immediately asks for the dinner menu and orders filet mignon. She always does her makeup nicely and wears nice clothes (instead of throwing on some spandex and shaking her ass in the street). So, I invited her to the Waterfront Restaurant at Playa Alicia and told her she needed to change her clothes. Does anything such as free pussy or meals or at least 1 free drink come with the attention and comments? Because I go out in jean shorts and flip flops and get the same attention and comments. It is a town full of hookers. Go down to Santo Domingo where there are a bunch of normal people and you will be completely ignored, despite you putting on a tuxedo, top hat, and carrying a pimp stick.

In Latin America it is usually that people dress business casual in the day because they are working. Then when they finish work and go out with their family and such in the evening, out come the shorts and sneakers or sandals.

I would say that on most nights there are probably lots of ladies to choose from. Daytime is less busy but actually I met my best two during the day! In the evening a lot more choices and all girls will share their phone numbers with you for later appointments. Interviewing is a must and making good choices is a must.

Just got back from the Infamous Su, and I can report that after a 10 year absence, the "Su" is definitely not dead!!

I paid the two good chicas 4000RD, the street rats 3000RD, and I had a non cedula lady for 4000RD that my security guys help set up.

The beach scene is about the same, I did a training swim every afternoon and there are chicas available there, too.

I have to agree with this. Day 5 and I can't wait to get out of here on Friday, heading to Santo Domingo for two days and then Peru. Hopefully, Peru will be much better.

Just got back from the Infamous Su, and I can report that after a 10 year absence, the "Su" is definitely not dead!!

Been there many times in the past but not in a while, and some personal relationship stuff just ended so thought I would reward myself. After a little research here, decided on the Alicia Beach Hotel, and that was a great choice!! Highly recommend the place. Quiet area, decent property, a comfortable bed, hot water, good A / see, and excellent staff and security. Cash only, sent them a reservation request a few weeks prior and they held the room without a deposit. In fact, they are cash only, so be prepared. Around $60 a night and they threw in a free breakfast, which was a nice perk. Only downside is my room was on the third floor and no elevators, so make sure your knees are up to it!!

The taxi ride to / from the airport is $30 now, not bad as it was $25 last time I was there 10 years ago. Oh, make sure you do the ETicket deal to get in and out of the country; it is free but you have to have it to get in or out. I printed mine on paper, but you can do it with a QR code on your phone.

I do a little scuba diving every morning, it's not great diving but something to do and fun to be on the water no matter what. That gives me the afternoon and night to play.

I did a total of 6 chicas in 5 days. Two were street rat failures, two were truly diamonds in the rough, and the other two were kind of outliers. My two duds were classic street rats and I almost knew they would be lousy as I took them to the hotel. Minimal interview and they agreed too quickly to what I wanted and were ragged looking.
