I do not understand the logic of opening a bar at all. I guess the owner of Aftermath realized that too late. They continue to come and go.

The logic is "I can run a bar better, because there are so many missed opportunities in Pattaya bars. " In addition, the political and economic environment of the West. Has a lot of us on edge and who knows. We might make an illogical decision and dump the IRA early and move there to start a new life. Guys watch these YT videos that show men running bars or living the expatriate lifestyle and succeeding (or at least the video highlights success) - and then think they can do it better. Walking up and down Beach Road, besides the usual suit maker solicitations and massage ladies. Some of us come up with a new great idea for a bar. Instead of a live band playing AC / DC, Eagles (Hotel California) and The Doors over and over all night every night. Maybe something new would work?!

In a way I am being tongue in cheek. Because so many westerners think they know it all. But if I was running a bar. It would be run tight. No alcoholic managers. The fact that the hobby is all kinds of illegal in Thailand yet very much tolerated and understood to be necessary for Thailand's prosperity, bodes well for all of us hobbyists. Currently in Pattaya right now and enjoying every bit of it. A few observations after multiple years of going:

- The weather the past few days has been awesome for low season. Breezy, not too much rain, not too humid, far less traffic, lower prices, etc. I should've been coming to Pattaya during low season years ago.

- I was wrong for assuming walking street go-go bar girls would not be willing to meet after work or on their day off. In Pinup and Palace, none of the women I barfined were open to it but at Shark there were several women happy to meet outside of work.

- Soi 6 is a great place to hangout. The problem is you can't really evaluate each women while they're harassing you and grabbing your nuts, but if you can find a decent bar it will be fun to just have a beer and play se connect for.

- I've talked to multiple walking street gogo bar girls (and Soi 6 bar girls) and the consensus appears to be that Chinese and Taiwanese are the biggest customers. Not Koreans or Japanese.

Pay attention. This is what a Pattaya report looks like.

I've noticed over the past decade, this is what ISG is about, or has become anyway. The diatribe is the point. Sure other forums here and there get to the point with the info and reviews, but where do you then get all the inane back and forth arguing about stuff? I think that's what this thread is for anyway. Satan knows I need this just to silence the voices in my head, especially with the week I've had at work. I'm so tired and beaten down by the end of the week, I can't even bring mysef to shower.
