Damn that was a long time ago. March 2019. There was some kind of beach football thing there. I was dating a chick from Bangkok who was here as an interpreter for the event. Bali Hai was nice after those renovations. Now they use it as a parking lot.

Going to soi 6 and spending time and effort to look for a girl with a reasonable price is not fun and might be a waist of ladydrinks. I hear the ladydrinks on soi 6 are now over 200 baht?

Lady drinks are 150 baht. What time and effort? Soi 6 is a horehouse. It takes 2 minutes to find a chick. Who said you have to buy drinks? Walk down the soi, see a chick you like, say let's go boom boom 1000. If she says no then you repeat the process. How are you doing it anywhere else that is supposed to be saving you so much more time?

Many people see it as fun when buying lady drinks. Sit there having fun with the girl feeling on her ass and shit. Some people even kiss them in the mouth. You act like you have to stay 10 feet apart after buying the lady drink. I am not a lady drink guy, but sheesh, don't act like buying 1 lady drink is a total waste of time and money when it really is not. Maybe you need to learn how to make your own fun.

Do you also call it not fun trying to get the cheapest price for souvenirs? The souvenir game is the same as the hooker game around here. Go to Beach Road and all the places selling souvenirs will tell you 80-100 baht for a mirror and will not come down on the price. You can go to the Bazaar on Second Road and get the same damn mirror for 50 baht. Yet I 100% guarantee you that mfs on ISG will tell you that something is wrong with your mirror because there is no way someone will sell you a nice mirror for 50 baht when even online they are 69 baht. Hahaha.

Does anyone know what's going on with this well known building in Pattaya? It's been uncompleted / unfinished for years.

It was being built illegally. 2008 one mayor approved it (of course with the assistance of money). They start building it and people start complaing. By that time the first mayor is gone. City council says stop the presses. Company still selling condos. Israeli company that was building it went bankrupt. (Exactly a reason not to buy shit around here before it is built.) Last year when it is time to prosecute the mayor that approved it, miraculously the statute of limitations had passed. Nobody is going to pay to tear that shit down. This is Thailand. A bunch of people are out of a bunch of money, but a least the first mayor is fat and happy and got away clean.

Does anyone know what's going on with this well known building in Pattaya? It's been uncompleted / unfinished for years. With the inside of the building being open and exposed to the weather and elements I'm sure that it's effecting the structure negatively after all this time being incomplete.

Nothing, it is still standing as is, laced from top to bottom with corruption including the mayor who approved it, when he left just as covid hit his brother was picked no election by the coup leader to run the city as Mayor, he got rich at the same time his brother because a MP, during that period the brother delayed the investigation in which charges was level at the other brother for accepting brides to allow it to be built. A warrant was issue for his arrest, prior he was warned so off he went like Thaksin in hiding. The case was delayed and delayed until the charges were reverse, lack of evidences LOL.

Meantime the project is still Mar. In legal, from time to time they claim it is going to be torn down but yet it still stands, the last the improvement money spent on Bali Hai, to make a world class place so they could hold some world event reported the results the place looks and maintain like a shit hole LOL!

On my way back to LOS and to Pattaya. Last trip was around 3 years ago.

Browsing through the forum to get how things are and if anything has changed.

-Any new areas worth exploring vs the usual Soi Phukhao and Tree Town (I hated TT last time) for bars?

-Given it's low season, what kind of prices should I expect to pay? General prices of ST / LT, LDs and barfines would be good to know if there's any change.

-Which nightclubs are the best currently? Ibar / Insomnia, Lucifer or The Republic?

Any other recommendations of how best to go on the hunt would be welcome. This place can change in a small amount of time.

This is an actual experience and it only has happened once. Although I get plenty of offers from bar girls on Thai Friendly. But mostly they asking me to come to their bar. The girl I posted about came to me first meeting without me going into the bar.

I don't know how more efficiently you need other than Thai Friendly. Personally I would not want to come on vacation and spend my entire time in my hotel room swiping on my phone. It is true that I have been posted up here for a bit. But the reason I get the deals I do is because I stay focused on the deal and not the girl. My personal experiences have not been that girls I find most attractive are asking the most for Short Time.

No one monger dictates prices. If you want lower prices come during low season. Deal with the rain. Or pay what you need to get what you want. Or goto any other the other places on this earth where you can hire a prostitute for less than you can in Pattaya.

My girlfriend is from Pattaya and works on the island. I was saying something the other day about Coral Island. She said it is actually Million Island. A lot of people call it Coral Island because Coral and Million sound similar in Thai. I guess; but Coral Island would make a lot more sense.

I'm going to have to check that place out. The beaches look nice on the island. Just off the coast of Phuket.

What difference does that make when the girls determine their own prices? There is no universal pricing standard in Pattaya. Anyone can say they are a 5000 girl or even an 8000 girl. It means nothing.

I was on the Soi the other night and no girl I talked to said 3000. They all said 2000, and most had no problem when I said no way 1000. The finest one I talked to said 2000, then when I said 1000, she said 1500. I said no way. Then she explained 500 was for the room and 1000 was for her.

Me and my friends went into one bar where I met a chick who said she manages 7 bars. We have been talking getting to know each other for a few days and I met up with her 2 days ago before work. When I met her there was one girl across the table from us sitting with a dude. She was telling the girl to drink fast so he could buy more drinks.

I was there in summer 2024. I hade one for 1000. Another started at 200 but she was just trying, she accepted 1200. Another one that was the hottest wanted 1500. Another cute one did not budge from 2000 even if I offered 1500. If more girls are accepting lower prices then I guess its because of the lack of customers. There were not many customers in 2024 either. But I think they still had the mindset that 2000 baht is ok and no problem. I mean chinese and koreans pay and a drink tower as well right? Should not be a problem for guys that paid five times more for flight.

That the new standard price on soi 6 for hotties would be 1000 baht with some negotiation is something I would like to see more evidence for before I belive it.

They normally have a fixed price for the room fee. The only place I know would charge one price for dummies and another for people in the know was Sandcastle (300 or 500 when they would think they're dealing with a dumb ass).

The room fee is actually irrelevant in the discussion. What is relevant is the total cost. What is the difference of paying a room fee of 1000 baht and 500 to the girl, room fee of 300 baht and 1200 to the girl, or room fee of 50 baht and 1450 to the girl? Same same same 1500 baht out of a person's pocket, dumbass or not.
