1) How much is Short Time & Long time in Walking Street? How much is Barfine? Are there rooms upstairs? If so, how much?

So I went around town yesterday and I'll give some thoughts. I was on Soi 6 early in the day looking for a ST. My MO is to get straight to the action I don't like to buy them a bunch of drinks or sit around drinking with them to me Soi 6 is for fucking not drinking. To me it's best visit this street during the day as it not crowded and just a just waiting around bored. At night the street is packed with mongers and non mongers. Yeah I fully agree with you. When I was younger I thought boozing up and acting a fool was cool. Now I know better, I'm maturing I guess. I'm there for one thing: to boom boom. The last thing I want is to sit in a bar buying booze for a chick, maybe 30 minutes ago she was barebacking another dude and drank his milk. These are working girls and it means they fuck for money, all good. So what's the point of sitting with them for drinks? I have a friend who does this and he tells me that it's a GFE and I can relate to his needs. But still. At the end he wants to bang.

One time in Pattaya, I met a stupid dude. He was going to bars and racking up the bar bill. He was broke and I lend him $100 usd. Another night he racked up $500 and wanted to "borrow" more money. I said no and when he could not pay, Thai cops took him to Jail.

I fully agree with you post! That's why I'm more looking forward to picking up freelancers at the beach road. No bar fine, talk with them, and if all is good, action Jackson time. Maybe some food or a drink at the local bar / restaurant.

My current top 3 gogo bars in Pattaya (necessarily subjective) :

1. **Kink* Still number one. I love the slightly wild but good-natured vibe and watching the customers, especially first-timers. They often look a bit dazed, which cracks me up. Drinks are a bit pricey, but I think they're worth it. Excellent interactions with the girls—they're really skilled.

2. **Shark* I really like the layout with three stages visible from almost any spot in the gogo. The central area for the girls to rest is a great touch, keeping them in sight and part of the vibe. The lighting is very well done. Lots of young girls, sometimes a bit shy. I enjoy watching their expressions when they check themselves in the mirrors. Their interactions are often friendly with smiles, though sometimes with a hint of annoyance when we make eye contact. The music is quite punchy, and they dance with energy and conviction. Decent crowd, including Koreans and / or Japanese, which is a sign of a good spot they likely found in a guide.

3. **XS and Chick* Tied for third. I think they're part of the same group. Not many customers, at least early in the evening, which is odd because there are lots of girls, and most of them are pretty stunning.

Price of a bottle of beer in soi 6 is usually around 95 baht in most bars.

Your friend probably mixed things up, I've never seen any bar charging 145 baht for a beer in soi 6.

I'm honestly impressed by the efficiency and value for money. Sure, STD testing might be a local specialty, but still. In Paris, I'the have had to: 1) wait at least half an hour in the waiting room, get tested, and wait 3-4 days for results, assuming no weekend in between.

That is what I love about Thailand in general. They may do a lot of other stuff that leaves us westerners scratching our heads, but when it comes to service they do not bullshit around. I can take my motorbike to the mechanic and he fixes it on the spot. (One time the mf took the entire thing apart right before my eyes and it only ended up being like 300 baht.) I can take my computer to get fixed and they tell me to come back in 1 hour. At 2 pm, I can tell my cleaning lady to come at 6 pm.

I came back to Paris with chlamydia from my May trip to Pattaya. After getting tested and treated in Paris, I wanted to get retested to be sure I was clear during my current trip. After reading ISG reviews, I decided to give it a try. I went to the Buakhouw Clinic on Soi Buakhaow (various spellings of the name), not far from the Soi LK entrance. I'the passed by it dozens of times without noticing it, thinking it was just a rundown pharmacy.

Here's how it went today :
- Entered the clinic at 4:00 PM.
- Blood test and urine sample for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea.
- Paid 1,100 THB and provided my details: passport (smartphone screen copy is enough) and Line for results.
- Left the clinic at 4:10 PM (the longest part was peeing in the cup).
- Received results via Line at 5:05 PM.

How is the action with the girls in the holiday season, Christmas & New Years? I'm used to traveling to Latin American countries where Christmas & Easter are the worst of the year. Is business about normal, bustling because it is high season, or I will be hard pressed to find a massage or bar girl wanting to make me smile on Christmas eve etc. ? I'm retired now so I can go anytime and spending an untraditional holiday season in the arms of many Thai girls sounds appealing. Please advise, stay or go?

Be warned that it's high season, prices will be high, hotels will be full and so will the bars. It will be fun.

Thailand is a Buddhist country. They do not give a shit about Christian holidays. And even on Buddhist holidays only places that serve alcohol are closed. There are thousands of chicks to fuck in Pattaya. If you can not find at least 800 to fuck on any given day of the year, then the problem is not them.

Posting this here because Ban Chang is not too far from Pattaya and apparently a destination for occasional pub crawls organized from time to time by Pattaya bar proprietors / customers.

I ran across a video about the bar scene in this small town and decided to take a look at some other videos. All publishers of same had generally positive opinions of the place; none recommended it for more than one of two nights. Still, the video producers seemed to be welcomed by the bar girls who sit out in the open. The bars seem to be strictly beer bars with no go go options. Maybe 20-25 bars clustered together along one section of road. Convenient.

I have been to Ban Chang many times. The ladies are similar to Pattaya, it can be hit or miss. It's good for an overnighter, and there are hotels on Soi 25 close to the bars.

Bolt taxi will get you from Pattaya to Ban Chang for less than 500 baht.

I hit up Colombia a lot but during the holidays, most of the girls hang out with family. Xmass and new years is the worse time to hit up a Catholic country for boom boom. Thank God there is Thailand. The weather is amazing, the girls are out in full force, and so are all the cheap mongers from India. LOL.
