Most of the boates or bars / clubs with freelancers or GDP (garota de programa / working girl) I went to were in the Copacabana area. Usually have an admission and take out fee. You usually have to negotiate with the girl regarding service, price and time.

Great info here as well! I am a bit confused though. If these venues are generally bars and clubs that have a lot of FLs, then why would there be a take out fee? I can understand if the girl works for the bar much like those in Thailand where there is a bar fine. But if the girls are FLs, how is this tied to a takeout fee? If FLs can come and go as they please, what's stopping them from meeting with you outside the club to bypass such a takeout fee? This is AWESOME info as it was exactly what I was looking for since I would be a first timer to Brazil! So it seems these termas are just scaled down versions of FKK clubs in Germany where there is still an entrance fee but at least the costs to session with a girl inhouse is fixed for each venue, ie. , no big surprises. I'll live with the fact that there likely won't be any included buffet food or drinks like at the FKKs. For the overall costs to session there, I can't help but compare them to the monger scene we have in Toronto which is basically just incalls and outcalls. Average incall for 30 minutes in Toronto is about $180 Canadian and 60 minutes $260 Canadian.

So when I look at the Rio terma numbers, I figure that the equivalents for a single session would be as follows for each of the main termas; 4 x4 = 520 BR or $128 Cad, Solarium = 800 BR or $197 Cad, Centaurus = 690 BR or $170 Cad and Monte Carlo = 750 BR or $185 Cad. At first glance I was surprised that the Centaurus figure was lower than both Solarium and Monte Carlo then I realized that number is for a 40 minute session while the other three venues are for one hour sessions.

However, the duration of each session might not matter to me as much since I'm a one shot guy these days at my age. I know in Toronto, many guys who book an hour for sessions like to get in at least two shots. I usually do 30 minutes to get in one shot which is all I need so I'm looking at the Rio numbers as a cost per shot (if I even fire one). This would put the Rio termas at about the same rate as in Toronto if on a shot basis although on a duration basis they are still lower than in my rip off Toronto scene.

Ideally, I wouldn't want to come all the way down to Brazil from Canada just to pay about the same or even higher mongering prices as in Toronto though. It would kind of defeat the purpose of a trip unless we can debate that it's Brazilian girls we are talking about here in Rio as well as the touristy stuff. But that's why 4 x4 does seem very attractive to me.

Not really my style but. MABS, Dolce Vita, and you can search "termas" in the thread to find many more options. My first trip to RJ, maybe 2009-2010, every time we went to a club or bar we pulled civilians. It was insane. Pros on the beach then civilians making out in the club before you exchange names, then off to the flat. Social media and dating apps have kind of ruined that. I missed HELP, unfortunately, but still had some amazing times. DISCAIMER: These are just MY favorite termas and clubs. Everyone's taste, goals and budget varies. For ME, I like the young pretty, thin runway model / athletic swimsuit model type who are morenas or brancas, whether they be blondes, brunettes or redheads. I am fortunate that I have a high enough hobbying budget that these "tier 1" termas and clubs are affordable to me so I am not saying these are the best places to visit for everyone. I also am not an ex-pat or a digital nomad who spends most of my time in Brazil so I don't try to stretch my budget or do the civilian scene. I have been visiting Brazil every 2 months for a week or 2 at a time for the last 5+ years, so I ain't a newbie either. I just value my time, convenience and comfort. My main priority isn't to get the best value or find diamonds in the rough.

Termas.

Termas are small sauna clubs with basic spa facilities. Don't expect the same facilities as a big Frankfurt FKK, which would have a large pool, outdoor tanning / lounging areas, sleeping / quiet areas, big jacuzzis for you and the girl to play in, big steam rooms and saunas and special sauna / steam programs and dedicated area with private rooms for professional veggie massages.

RJ termas operates a bit like a small FKK. You pay an admission to use its "spa" facilities and usually include a drink or 2. Unlike FKKs, the is no included food or non-alcoholic drinks. Usage of rooms are an extra charge. The plus is that the pricing of the girls ("massage therapists") are set on a menu with transparent pricing. There is no negotiation on price per xx amount of time as is currently the case at most FKKs. There SHOULD be no upcharge either for GFE service.

After paying your admission, you are given a key to a locker to change out of your clothes into a robe and flip flops and store your belongings. Most guys keep their underwear on, unlike at a FKK. In some termas, changing out of your clothes is optional. There are showers and bath amenities to freshen up.

At a FKK, the nudist culture, sauna / spa and sun bathing aspect of the "FKK" are all part of the experience. At a RJ termas, the "sauna / spa" is light on facilities / amenities and more of an excuse / pretense to get out of your normal clothes so you don't go home smelling like you just came from a brothel 😜.

You can easily spend a whole day at a big FKK without being bored. At the RJ termas, I rarely stay more than an hour or two before I am bored if I don't see a girl I am interested in. One night, I went to the 4 termas on my list within 2 hours without finding someone I liked. Before going to the clubs in Copacabana.

Once in your robe and flip flops, you move on to the main area where all the girls hang out. This area has a bar with stools and sitting area with small tables to lounge around. There are also a few poles for strip shows. It's similar to a small to medium size strip club or disco in the USA, but without a big stage or runway for strippers to dance.

The girls are usually in skimpy dresses, lingerie or bikinis and lounging around waiting for clients. In most of the termas, they don't approach you or don't do so aggressively. You can relax, have a drink, eat a meal in this area.

Most guys will chill for a bit before they pick a girl to keep them company. When you chat them up, you can check her chemistry, get a better look, see if you guys vibe, talk about service or fetishes, etc. Many guys also like to feel up the goods and also make out with the girl to get a preview of how they perform in the room.

One great thing about termas vs. FKK is that service should be all inclusive. There SHOULD be no upcharge for DFK, BBBJ, DATY, GFE, etc. Just ask if they do it and they will either say they do or don't. This usually also applies to anal sex. Probably only 10% or less of the girls I asked about anal said they would only it for an upcharge. They rest either offer it or don't. Service level seems to be consistently better than the other termas for passionate GFE / PSE. The lineup usually range from around 10 -15 girls in the afternoon and grows to 20-30 at night. A very fun and lively boate / terma. I usually come by at night and usually skip the robes and keep my clothes on. Girls are generally more raunchy and have a more PSE look. Service is top notch and appeals to locals. Also can find more darker skinned girls work here. Usually 30-50 girls work here at night. Disco / terma is upstairs and more wild, while the whiskeria is downstairs and more quiet. After midnight, upstairs closes and everyone moves downstairs. Lighting is a little dark so can hide a girl's true looks a bit. Pretty loud at night so I often take the girl to the quieter smoking area in the back or downstairs to talk.

Pricing is 60 entrance + 460 for girl + room for 1 HR cash as of Nov 2024. NO extra charge for using a CC. There is also a set price for takeout / Saida at 1,200, although some girls want a bit more on top of that depending on duration of the overnight.

Very similar to Solarium as it's pretty chill and has decent lighting. Similar type of girls work here, but a bit more diverse. I also found the talent to be less in both quality and quantity when compared to Solarium. Usually 10-15 girls in attendance. It's very conveniently located for most first time visitors as it's located in the heart of Copacabana.

Nicer facilities than other termas. You will find more sharky / aggressive girls here than other termas. Usually 15-30 girls work here. Very diverse group in terms of looks, with some real stunners. Average service level are lower than other termas. Also a lot more English speaking girls are found here. Almost all the upsell incidents I encountered at RJ termas were at Centaurus. Very dark lighting so beware of disco / strip club goggles. The smoking area is well lit and quiet so good option to take a girl there to truly see how she looks. Can feel like a tourist trap if you don't do proper vetting or due diligence of the girls when chatting with them. Expect to be jumped on by the sharkier girls as you enter the main area.
