    Entering Venezuela as a Canadian

I'm well aware of travel restrictions given by the USA, Canada and the other developed western nations.

I speak fluent Spanish and I'm not Caucasian. I have several friends who are venezuelan born, who live in Colombia, USA etc. I have heard first hand reports of them entering Venezuela by road and by flight, without any problems.

That gives me a confidence that I can go as well. Has anyone from here recently (Nov, Dec 2025) entered and excited this great country with a Canadian or other Western / European passports?

I have seen the YouTuber Kurt Caz (white South African) go to Venezuela recently multiple times.

Question. My friend is a citizen of Ireland, which Venezuela permits people from there to visit.

What do you think about an Irish person traveling to Venezuela?

Of course it's a third world dangerous place right now (Venezuela). But do you think he would have any issues from the Venezuelan government or military?

The most I have seen them do to the YouTuber is detain him for several hours and asking him tons of questions about why he is there.

Has anyone from Europe visited Venezuela recently and if so how did it go?
Your friend most likely will experience the same issue that happens to any foreigner entering Venezuela. The odds are high that at some point a cop or national guard will harass him, not out of any political motivations but to coax him for a bribe, to get some $$$ "para LOS refrescos". Tourists carry dollars and people are desperate for those dollars.

Bring $1, $5, $10 bills, I know it sucks, it is because they use USD in the black market but they have no change for large bills...

I would stay in Caracas as other cities would experience power outages. Look for Altamira or Chacao.

I prefer Colombia you get the best of both Colombians and Venezuelans.
No, you don't have to exchange dollars to venezuelan bolivares anymore, that's old news. Back in 2019 Maduro decriminalized the use of foreign currencies and nowadays our economy for all intents and purposes has been dollarized. I can't even remember when was the last time I used physical Bolivar bills to pay for something.

    # How do you handle the money issue (ATMs currently available?, or should I enter with enough cash?

    # Current pricing and recommendations regarding expenses, where to meet, and what to avoid concerning the "damas de compaa" (escorts).
The price is between 200-400 USD, Venezuela is very expensive due to inflation.

Feel free to answer here or send me a PM.

Unlike Colombia, Venezuela is unfortunately not as safe to travel to from what I hear so my usual solution of going to them is off the table. Getting them a passport and visa or to a friendly country with no visa mandate is logistical, expensive, nightmare and that's assuming she is a woman of her word and won't just steal the money and spend on other things to milk you (good luck). Their passports alone cost $200 USD. $300-$400 to "expedite".

The ones I have been with, both in Colombia and the US, seem to charge more than Colombians in Medellin. I get quoted 200 or more. This seems to be a psychological byproduct of everyone price gouging in Venezuela for basic goods. I was told by a Vennie I met a lunch platter of fried fish and plantains back home cost her $30 USD. Insane. What is this, Miami? So, the girls apparently charge accordingly. The situation there is very unfortunate as it is a beautiful country with gorgeous women. I hope to one day be able to visit and safely.
You can find Vennies in El Centro Medellin for 50 k cop which is approximately $12.50 usd.

I would stay in the CHACAO area.

US Citizens are not allowed to go Venezuela.

I wonder where all that $200 was going. Was it going direct to the girl? Or is most of that tax to the pimp mathia who run the city, der I ask?

    Where was this place?

It's very sad that this place, wherever it was in Venezuela doesn't exist anymore. Unless it still does?

    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5hw3e7

I feel like I really missed the boat on this one, not just that the place is gone, but the fact that country itself is pretty much closed for business and dangerous as hell. I mean, a small beach resort full of young hotties ready to fuck, and it's not in the DR. I tell ya fellas, our best days of hobbying seem to be far behind us.

Or are we saying there isn't any significant local prostitution scene to speak of in Caracas?
