Posts: 7971A timely. Worst Since a Previous Repub Disaster metric
Well, well. It seems Trump's America has hit another "Worst Since a Previous Repub Disaster" record.
Similar to his "Worst Repub Economy Since The Great Repub Depression" accomplishment in his first term, leaving office in 2021, after waging his unprecedented Bloody War Against America and Democracy on American Soil, that is, with millions fewer jobs in the USA economy than were in it four years earlier, this time around his disastrous economic and national security results have caused more American Citizens to flee Trump's America, "the likes of which nobody has ever seen" or at least since The Great Repub Depression. Again.
Americans Are Leaving the U.S. in Record Numbers.
Feb. 25, 2026
https://www.wsj.com/us-news/american...ation-a5795bfa
The number of people exiting California is nothing compared to what Trump has done for American Citizens getting the hell out of America. In its 250th year, is America, land of immigration, becoming a country of emigration?
Last year the U.S. experienced something that hasnt definitively occurred since the Great Depression: More people moved out than moved in. The Trump administration has hailed the exodusnegative net migrationas the fulfillment of its promise to ramp up deportations and restrict new visas. Beneath the stormy optics of that immigration crackdown, however, lies a less-noticed reversal: Americas own citizens are leaving in record numbers, replanting themselves and their families in lands they find more affordable and safe.
Oh, Trump's America is also broke.
And Trump's America's debt and deficits are also at record highs.
Thanks mostly to Trump's disastrous, fraudulent, wasteful and abusive Repub economic policies the first time around, this time around and not even counting the economic catastrophe of his Trump's Pandemic.

Posts: 7971Trump is so unhappy about this
USA boots on the ground! That didn't take long.
As usual, good news for most Americans is bad news for Trump and his fellow Repubs.
Just as Repub Eisenhower put USA military personnel directly in harms way in Vietnam in order to ensure that eventually something, anything would happen to enough of them that the American people would "rally 'round the flag" in greater support for his unprovoked, no-win, quagmire, Repub Vietnam War of Choice, so too has and is Repub Trump doing exactly the same thing but worse and more of it with his Repub Iran War of Choice.
So the one person we can be 100% sure is unhappy about this rescue is Donald J. Trump, who most assuredly was hoping for a much worse outcome for any and all USA military members in the region, all "losers" anyway according to him, rather than merely demonstrating what shameless liars Trump and his SOW Kegsbreath were about how their military controls the air and sea and can do anything he wants it to do since they have "obliterated" and left "in ruins" Iran's ability to shoot at them.
The same lies those two liars keep telling about how safe the Strait of Hormuz is.
Missing U.S. crew member from downed fighter jet rescued in Iran, Trump says.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/missing...n-sources-say/
Well, at least Trump must be delighted that he got USA Boots on the Ground, contrary to his and Kegsbreath's lies about that too, so fast, "the likes of which nobody has ever seen before."But he'll have to rachet up the deadly harm to those "losers", according to him, in the USA military if he is going to acheive the desired effect of fully changing the subject of the Epstein Files and rally support for his no-win Repub War of Choice.

Yes there's a big difference between being shot down and parachuting out and being a coward and a traitor to your country like John McCain and yourself.

First of all, congratulations for finally coming up with a link for something rather than laying back in your barcalounger with a Tim Horton donut and merely rhapsodizing utter nonsense pro Trump fantasies.

But California's debt and deficits are far less than 1/50th of the debt and deficits racked up by Trump for the USA. And combined with its growth surpassing that of all three of the only larger economies on the planet it is in a better position to close that gap than a country being "led" by Donald Trump:
U.S. hits $38 trillion in debt, after the fastest accumulation of $1 trillion outside of the pandemic.
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politic...f-the-pandemic
And don't think this is something new for Trump. All of the supposedly "deficit hawk" Repub / MAGA voters knew that about Trump before 77 million of them begged for more of it the 2nd time around:
Donald Trump Built a National Debt So Big (Even Before the Pandemic) That It'll Weigh Down the Economy for Years.
The King of Debt promised to reduce the national debt then his tax cuts made it surge. Add in the pandemic, and he oversaw the third-biggest deficit increase of any president.
https://www.propublica.org/article/national-debt-trump
Add to the above that Trump actually ushered in and exacerbated the deaths, worldwide economic devastation, closures, supply-chain collapse and the global hyper-inflation that followed Trump's Pandemic in the first place by defunding and removing the highly effective Pandemic Prevention and Response teams leadership from those Chinese labs in 2019 contrary to all expert warnings for him not to do something so dangerous and stupid. And then he admitted in a March 2020 recorded interview that monitoring and communication about those earliest Covid-19 cases, made impossible thanks only to him, "just 2 months sooner and we would not have had any of this trouble. We could have stopped it easily. "
So the debt and deficits due to Trump's Pandemic and the recovery from it belongs to him too! Since you are no longer lazy about researching things, do a Google Search and a search in this forum for plenty of links, mostly by me here, for when and how Trump converted a likely manageable epidemic confined to one region in China into the out-of-control Trump's Pandemic it became.
Do your neighbors in Canada know you are cheerleading and hoping for higher gas and grocery prices, a higher rate of inflation, near stalled jobs creation for more than a year so far, skyrocketing more debt and deficits with zero to show for it, another no-win quagmire unprovoked Repub War of Choice and so on to be brought to them in Canada as Trump brought it to the USA and is infecting the rest of the world with it as well?
The graph below is based only on Trump's 1st disastrous term. He is just getting started on adding to the debt and deficits for his 2nd disastrous term and is already asking his Repub MAGA Congress for more! Bear in mind that after Trump jacked up the debt and deficits more than any other president in a single term he got his ass kicked out of office with millions fewer jobs in the economy than when he took office, a 100 year record "accomplishment" he appears determined to repeat in his 2nd disastrous term.
And you want that for Canada.

I am from Alberta and it would be great if Alberta was part of USA. USA should trade Colorado, CA, Oregon and Washington for Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Yukon. USA could throw in Minnesota too. Canada is ripping off Alberta royally.

Here is California bad news. Budget deficit $18 billion going to $$35 billion in 2027. High employment 5.3% and rich people leaving the state in droves. Look at the link. Don't be lazy. Just google it and 20 + news posts on California debt and financial problems. Big economy but Newsome policies driving it to ruins. Rich people leaving and illegals arriving to their sanctuary cities. This is common knowledge everywhere but on fake news.

Probably Sacramento, since it's the most fucked up.

I clearly said 81% of energy, not electricity, was from fossil fuels. Your link looks at % of electricity.

For 2023,
Fossil Fuels 87.1%
Renewables including Hydro 10.1%
Nuclear 2. 8%
Or take a look at your source, Our World in Data. I believe if you do that you'll get numbers closer to the ones ChatGPT quoted to me earlier.
The USA is a net importer of crude oil. If you look at crude oil and products refined from crude oil, the trade balance is roughly equal. Exports are about equal to imports.

And as I've already told you several times, combustion of gas releases A LOT less SO2, NOx, particulates and harmful metals into the environment than the coal that accounts for the majority of China's energy production. Furthermore, compared to coal, combustion of gas releases less CO2 per MMBTU.
USA Exports of coal are small compared to liquefied natural gas, and a little over 50% is metallurgical grade coal. At this point in time, there really isn't a substitute for met coal in steelmaking and the like.
So the USA, through exports of natural gas which substitute for coal, is doing its part to clean up the air and, to a lesser extent, lower carbon emissions. And China is doing more through exports of solar panels and the like. But at the same time China is emitting massive amounts of harmful pollutants and colorless, odorless, non toxic CO2 by burning coal. Who's the winner overall? If your only goal was to clean up air and lower carbon emissions, would you drop nuclear bombs on the USA and wipe it from the planet? Or annihilate China? Clearly, you'd have to do away with China. I could quantify that, but since you're not going to believe me and since it's a waste of time anyway, I won't.

Posts: 7971Perhaps the unluckiest USA pilot in history
While we hope for a rapid rescue and recovery of the missing USA pilot, let's count a few of the ways he might be the unluckiest USA military member in history.
I say "he" because I assume he is a white male pilot since Trump and his SOW Kegsbreath have purged the military of any other race, ethnicity and gender due to their opinion that any other race, ethnicity or gender just can't start and wage war, er, I mean "a little bit of an excursion", as brilliantly as white, males like Trump and Kegsbreath can.
His Commander-in-Chief is on record publicly admitting he "doesn't like soldiers who get captured". So on the hopeful chance that he survived the crash and was or will be captured it must be comforting for him, his family, friends and fellow military members to know so-called president Trump thinks he is as much of a loser as the heroic war dead in Normandy and elsewhere.
Trump's SOW Kegsbreath is on record establishing the terms and rules of engagement in his and Trump's brilliantly started and waged war, er, I mean "little bit of an excursion", is to offer the enemy "no quarter, no mercy."
Ok. So that means Iran or whoever might capture that USA pilot can pretty much do anything they damn well want with him under cover of potential immunity from worldwide blame or repercussions since, you know, that is exactly what Trump and his SOW Kegsbreath established as the terms and rules of engagement for their war, er, I mean "little bit of an excursion. "
And that is in addition to his and the other USA pilot's fighter jet being shot down by the country their Commander-in-Chief Trump and his SOW Kegsbreath absolutely, positively and with giddy pleasure assured the world they had "obliterated" and left "in ruins" any means for them to shoot down any of America's fighter jets so none of those USA pilots had a thing to worry about every bit as much as no oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz has a thing to worry about since Trump and his SOW Kegsbreath have handled their War, er I mean "little bit of an excursion", of Payback To Netanyahu and Muslims For Being Solely Responsible For Squeaking Out a Razor-Thin Win For Trump In The 2024 Election.
And the fact that one stray bullet or two from those "obliterated" and "in ruins" response forces still somehow managed to fly through and hit a USA fighter jet, well, ok, two USA fighter jets, is probably the unluckiest fluke of all.

Other truth-tellers here such as Spidy, The Cane and so on have also provided plenty of substantiation for their assertions for, as an example, the astonishing run of Dem wins and flips of formerly Ruby Red state and local political seats vs no Dem seat flips for Trump's Party since he squeaked out that razor-thin marginal win in November 2024. Which is more evidence for how clearly actual USA Citizens recognize the typically crap Repub / Trump results Trump and his Party have produced vs the previous 4 years.
Here are a few more screenshots to further illustrate how actual USA Citizens see what Trump has wrought without asking any Canadian what his thoroughly unfounded and unsubstantiated bizarro world opinion of it is:

Sure, it's got serious issues—high unemployment, housing mess, an economy that leaves a lot of folks behind while boosting the top earners. Fair points to debate.
But calling it "broke and the laughingstock of the USA"? That's not a take on a $4 trillion powerhouse growing faster than the rest of the country. That's just a bumper sticker pretending to be deep analysis.
