But if I walked up one aisle and down the other I got a look at the girls in about 40 bars. Almost always I saw five or six that were young and slim, not all tatted up, with pretty faces and fit figures. Usually they were dressed in attractive outfits that were a bit more sophisticated than the outlandish garb that predominates on Soi 6. Drink prices (customer + lady) were reasonable. The music was not overpowering. And if you stroll down to what's left of Soi Made in Thailand there are usually multiple food carts.
Over on Soi LK Metro the only go go I patronized was the Las Vegas. During my visit the lineup featured so many dancers that I usually saw one or two I liked. The EDM was to my liking, and the cold air conditioning felt good after walking around all night. Honorable mention on LK Metro: B-52 Retro Bar. They have live singers who sing 80s tunes using a karaoke backing track. Music to time travel by!

Posts: 1468I would take Aug-September in Pat over Dec-Feb in Pat anytime. A few tropical downpours and some street flooding is better than high season and way too many tourists.

Posts: 31I was there last year in early Sep. It rained only once for a couple of hours. Mornings were hot and humid, but not intolerable, and evenings were pleasant. It wasn't super crowded but not deserted either, in fact I prefer that. Prices were low, and many girls around looking for business.

Posts: 726Just a little update as I am in Pattaya now.
I like Myth Night area, not very busy but plenty of women to choose from. Bar fines 800 and girls asking 2000, I only ever ask st.
LK is pretty busy but I don't really go there, too loud for me and the Gogo bars I have no interest in.
Thai friendly I have plenty of offers from 1200 up to 2000. The 2000 always girls come down to 1500 very quickly.

Posts: 2662True, it's actually the RealFeel that is higher than the real temperature.

Posts: 298That is a raised-humidity illusion. Current temperature range is 26C night to 33C day; same as Bangkok. Varies little throughout the year, apart from the Dec-Jan (some might say Nov-Feb) dip in humidity and temperature. N & NE have more-marked seasonal variations; far South milder, with less seasonal variation, but avoid the heavy rains every Nov.

Posts: 2662I disagree. Sure, there are always enough girls available, but the weather is much better (cooler, less rain) from approximately November to February.

When I was there in May this year, the temperature at night hardly dropped below 30 degrees Celsius / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. And in the day time it was fucking hot.

Posts: 2662It's certainly a problem in Pattaya as well, and also in low season. I was there a couple of weeks ago and according to the weather app on my phone the air quality was reasonable or poor at best, but quite often bad or even unhealthy. The problem was, despite the almost daily thunderstorms, that the humidity was high and there was hardly any wind. Combined with the high temperatures it wasn't much fun to walk around, or take the baht bus during the rush hours. There was always a bad smell everywhere, even in my hotel room.

I've visited Thailand for about 50 years and have been there for all 12 months. The heaviest rains I have experienced is in June-August. I've avoided these months for a couple of decades. I prefer October to March, which represents the high season and a couple of "shoulder" months. Airfares typically go lower in September. With the climate changes, it's questionable whether September would rain on your parade. I've never experienced any serious rain-related issues in a September visit. I've experienced a few daily thundershowers, but those have been for only about 30 minutes to a couple of hours. No serious flooding while I've been there in a September. You shouldn't worry about packing a life jacket for a trip in September. Maybe an umbrella.

Posts: 5459September is the best month for mongering in Pattaya because its near the end of Low Season. The ladies have been poor for many months, and really appreciate customers. Many "boyfriends " from the prior High Season have stopped sending money (most fizzle out after 3 months).

Posts: 18757Every year so many people post here wanting to know if each month of the year is good to come or not. It is good to come anytime, January through December, just like Disney World in Florida or Disneyland in California. This should be a permanent post at the top of this thread.

Posts: 18757When my mom and aunts came to visit some years back, that is the only place my mom would eat. That was when Central Festival was new. I told her that we could go eat at Sizzler at the new mall, but she refused, stating that she "knew" the one at Royal Garden. My mom is one of those people that has an irrational fear of damn near everything on the planet. Total opposite of me. She does not even wash her car anymore because the workers no longer drive it through and she is afraid of driving it through herself.
