Pattaya is pretty dead right now, there just aren't any customers. Last night, I spent 2 hours as the only customer in a bar. Walking around, I see lots of empty bars. There are still a handful of high traffic areas that have customers, but once you get to the second tier areas, its quiet. I don't have the time to go with all the ladies who are looking for customers.

My experiences in Pattaya (right now; current, real time) mirror the situation that Explorer8939 has described.

My regular girls that work in different venues (Soi 6, Naughty Massage, Gentleman's Club) all report dramatically decreased business. The clubs are still jumping still!

Is Pattaya different in that respect? When there are fewer or no customers around are hot girls still showing up for work and offering Real Sex at deep discounts to the precious few customers in town?

For me Pattaya is different. Low Season is much better.. Online (the prices are better) and I don't detect a change in service. Now in the venues, they don't lower prices. If girls go home it does not affect me. I can only fuck one or two a day and there are thousands available. In my opinion, the ones that remain during low season need the business and it shows!

I cannot speak for Bangkok!

It should be noted that I don't write about bad experiences because I have rarely had them (one stole from me - a tube of expensive toothpaste and two no shows). My experiences are current and I don't live in the glory days

I can't speak for Pattaya but whenever there are no or much fewer customers in Bangkok the hotter girls and especially those who also provide service worth a damn don't bother to show up for work. They go visit their family in their home province.

That is the Catch-22 about High Season vs Low Season here. The punter fantasy is that during Low Season all the hot girls will charge less for the same service, provide better service such as BBFSCIP for the same amount of money or, the best fantasy of all, the hot girls will provide better service for less money.

However, what I observe here in Bangkok is there are fewer hot girls around when there are fewer customers around. And I have never been offered better service for a discounted price from any of the fewer remaining hot girls I approach at any time of the year. As is the case with every above average looker I have encountered in Thailand they would rather curl up in the fetal position on the street and go days without food rather than do anything sexually they just don't feel like doing for money. And what is more likely is the hot girls and marginally better than average looking girls who provide very good service have made enough money during high customer traffic times to kick back and not bother to show up when there are few customers around.

But I do get grabbed and offered more for less from below average lookers here when there are fewer customers around. And from girls who must give particularly bad service since I see them standing around or sitting in front of massage shops year 'round with little indication of having even one repeat customer much less frequent repeats. If that is your thing.

Yes. The TF girls, or any other freelancers for that matter, will usually take a motorbike taxi to get to your hotel. Not a great way of transport when it's raining cats and dogs.
Of course they can take a car taxi instead, but when it rains the availability goes down and the price goes up.

Since I've been posted up in Pattaya (and that has been more than a minute). I have only had about a half dozen cancellations due to rain.

Yes. The TF girls, or any other freelancers for that matter, will usually take a motorbike taxi to get to your hotel. Not a great way of transport when it's raining cats and dogs.

I'm have to go in mid August as its my only option. Can you please tell me how bad the rain will be? Does rain all the time making it downright miserable to go to bars and find FLs?

Or is there a silver lining in this cloud like more available girls to be found on TF for cheaper prices. ? But if it's pouring rain will this discourage them from coming to your hotel?

Can't comment on individual freelancers but they still have to eat, clothe and pay the rent. The real challenges are weeding-out the mothers and ladyboys. Get around by Bolt (cheaper taxis), Grab or even the hop-on-hop-off ฿15 pickups-with-bench-seats. As for the rain: it's only water, and no toxic chemtrails in the sky there!

One warning, streets can / do get flooded and if you have an open cut on your foot / leg things can go bad quickly.

That is a raised-humidity illusion. Current temperature range is 26C night to 33C day; same as Bangkok. Varies little throughout the year, apart from the Dec-Jan (some might say Nov-Feb) dip in humidity and temperature. N & NE have more-marked seasonal variations; far South milder, with less seasonal variation, but avoid the heavy rains every Nov.

I am in Pattaya now. I like Myth Night area, not very busy but plenty of women to choose from. Bar fines 800 and girls asking 2,000 for ST. LK Metro is pretty busy but I don't really go there. Too loud for me and the go-go bars I have no interest in. On Thai Friendly I have plenty of offers from 1,200 to 2,000. The girls asking 2,000 always come down to 1,500.

I spent nearly three months in town earlier this year. Was favorably impressed by the girls I saw in the Myth Night bars. Not every bar. Not every night. But if I walked up one aisle and down the other I got a look at the girls in about 40 bars. Almost always I saw five or six that were young and slim, not all tatted up, with pretty faces and fit figures. Usually they were dressed in attractive outfits that were a bit more sophisticated than the outlandish garb that predominates on Soi 6. Drink prices (customer + lady) were reasonable. The music was not overpowering. And if you stroll down to what's left of Soi Made in Thailand there are usually multiple food carts.

Over on Soi LK Metro the only go go I patronized was the Las Vegas. During my visit the lineup featured so many dancers that I usually saw one or two I liked. The EDM was to my liking, and the cold air conditioning felt good after walking around all night. Honorable mention on LK Metro: B-52 Retro Bar. They have live singers who sing 80s tunes using a karaoke backing track. Music to time travel by!

I would take Aug-September in Pat over Dec-Feb in Pat anytime. A few tropical downpours and some street flooding is better than high season and way too many tourists.

The only chance I am going to get this year to have an overseas holiday is in September. Obviously this is the peak of the monsoon season in Thailand.

Anyone visited during this time? Are fewer crowds outweighed by poor weather?

I was there last year in early Sep. It rained only once for a couple of hours. Mornings were hot and humid, but not intolerable, and evenings were pleasant. It wasn't super crowded but not deserted either, in fact I prefer that. Prices were low, and many girls around looking for business.
