    Rains

I'm have to go in mid August as its my only option. Can you please tell me how bad the rain will be? Does rain all the time making it downright miserable to go to bars and find FLs?

Or is there a silver lining in this cloud like more available girls to be found on TF for cheaper prices. ? But if it's pouring rain will this discourage them from coming to your hotel?

    Thanks.

Too loud for me and the go-go bars I have no interest in. On Thai Friendly I have plenty of offers from 1,200 to 2,000. The girls asking 2,000 always come down to 1,500.
A concise and informative report. Kudos to Khun Mombie.

I spent nearly three months in town earlier this year. Was favorably impressed by the girls I saw in the Myth Night bars. Not every bar. Not every night. But if I walked up one aisle and down the other I got a look at the girls in about 40 bars. Almost always I saw five or six that were young and slim, not all tatted up, with pretty faces and fit figures. Usually they were dressed in attractive outfits that were a bit more sophisticated than the outlandish garb that predominates on Soi 6. Drink prices (customer + lady) were reasonable. The music was not overpowering. And if you stroll down to what's left of Soi Made in Thailand there are usually multiple food carts.

Over on Soi LK Metro the only go go I patronized was the Las Vegas. During my visit the lineup featured so many dancers that I usually saw one or two I liked. The EDM was to my liking, and the cold air conditioning felt good after walking around all night. Honorable mention on LK Metro: B-52 Retro Bar. They have live singers who sing 80s tunes using a karaoke backing track. Music to time travel by!

I would take Aug-September in Pat over Dec-Feb in Pat anytime. A few tropical downpours and some street flooding is better than high season and way too many tourists.

Anyone visited during this time? Are fewer crowds outweighed by poor weather?
I was there last year in early Sep. It rained only once for a couple of hours. Mornings were hot and humid, but not intolerable, and evenings were pleasant. It wasn't super crowded but not deserted either, in fact I prefer that. Prices were low, and many girls around looking for business.

True, it's actually the RealFeel that is higher than the real temperature.

I disagree. Sure, there are always enough girls available, but the weather is much better (cooler, less rain) from approximately November to February.
I was in Pattaya in November last year, and at night the temperature often went below 20 degrees Celsius / 68 degrees Fahrenheit. And some days the temperature did not get higher than 24 degrees Celsius / 75 degrees Fahrenheit in the day time!

It's certainly a problem in Pattaya as well, and also in low season. I was there a couple of weeks ago and according to the weather app on my phone the air quality was reasonable or poor at best, but quite often bad or even unhealthy. The problem was, despite the almost daily thunderstorms, that the humidity was high and there was hardly any wind. Combined with the high temperatures it wasn't much fun to walk around, or take the baht bus during the rush hours. There was always a bad smell everywhere, even in my hotel room.

With the climate changes, it's questionable whether September would rain on your parade. I've never experienced any serious rain-related issues in a September visit. I've experienced a few daily thundershowers, but those have been for only about 30 minutes to a couple of hours. No serious flooding while I've been there in a September. You shouldn't worry about packing a life jacket for a trip in September. Maybe an umbrella.

Here's a September photo I took while renting at View Talay 6.

September is the best month for mongering in Pattaya because its near the end of Low Season. The ladies have been poor for many months, and really appreciate customers. Many "boyfriends " from the prior High Season have stopped sending money (most fizzle out after 3 months).

The rain usually comes in the afternoon for an hour, or in the middle of the night. If you use Bolt taxi, the rain isn't much of a factor.
