A close friend of mine got caught up with it and got screwed. If you go to the google reviews of the restaurant, you find a slew of reviews where ripped off customers are mentioning the same happened to them.

There is also a restaurant called Vaga in bluewaters (it's an Armenian joint) and they are in on something similar. They have Russian girls that roam Dubai mall and they are basically looking for customers to take to the restaurant and then order the most expensive items on the menu so your bill comes up to anything from 3 k to 5 k. The red flag is when the girl insists on her choosing the location for drinks or sheesha, etc. The moment you suggest a place of your own choosing, they will un match or block you. And like others said, this is unfortunately a very common scam in Dubai. Many nationalities are doing it, especially Syrians and Moroccans, all over Dubai. So the bottom line is, avoid Tinder in UAE. And if you do match with a girl that you like who wants to meet, always choose the venue.

I decided to investigate this a bit more.

Matched with another profile again from Colombia.

Arranged to meet her and surprise surprise, she said the JW Marriott in the marina.

She said she was staying there.

This time I positioned myself early in the lobby so that I could work out where she was going to come in from.

And she did not come down in the elevators from the hotel she came in from the mall entrance.

We sat down and I asked her where did she want to go?

She said, fourth floor at the same bar.

I told her I went there last night, (which is not true) I didn't want to go there and could we go somewhere else?

But she was insistent.

I told her I didn't want to go to the bar and all of this was done through translation on our phones as she spoke no English.

She insisted she wanted to go there.

I told her that she should then leave because I'm not going to that bar.

She got up and she made a way back towards the entrance to the marina mall not the hotel so it's very clearly not staying at the hotel as she mentioned.

One of the things I noticed is a theme with all of these people is they match with me and then suddenly their profile is showing to be thousands of miles away.

I'm guessing that it's someone else on Tinder and then they are communicating with the girls who are on the ground in Dubai.

As I mentioned, I would strongly recommend if you match with anybody from Colombia to unmatched and just do not communicate with them at all.

I still don't understand what the scam element would be unless there's something behind the scenes within the bar itself.

Think I'll take a break from online dating for awhile and just go back to massage parlour.

And even massage republic.

Common drinks scam. Didn't expect to see a bar from JW Marriott. Most likely the Marriott management is unaware of this. Their JW brand is particularly a matter of pride for them. There's definitely an agreement with a bartender and those girls or the F&b manager and those girls. I would not let this go. I would absolutely drop an email to the Marriott Management, the higher the better to let them know.

Thanks for the information. You could have stopped when second time she told you to meet in the same bar. These are common scams and someone reported on similar scam in Business bay hotel. Tinder is unsuitable for P4 P in Dubai. Some have success and most of the time it is scam. Asian girls from Philippines, Indonesia use it for dating with normal people. Try to find Colombian on MR or Massage republic. MR looks like more genuine but you still need to watch Red flags.

And I thought here we go again. We take a seat and the first thing she tries to order is the shot of whiskey costing 440 AED.

Seems to be a bit of a pattern.

I put a stop to that straight away, but she ordered some food some whiskey. And the total bill came to 700 AED.

I had a glass of water.

So all of that was her.

She said she wanted to leave because I wasn't spending money on her.

I said that's fine just go and she did.

I got back to my room and I've already matched with another lady on Tinder who said she was in the marina mall and was free.

I asked her where she's from she said originally from Columbia but lives in Mexico and is here on holiday.

I asked her where are you now? And she said she's just having an ice cream in the marina mall and she'the be free in 20 minutes.

I asked her where do you want to meet?

And I bet you can't guess where she said!

Do not conflate volatile, speculation-driven markets with structurally sticky consumer pricing.

Its more likely prices will go up due to the shortfall from lost demand and the lack of regularity oversight in this segment

Correct. And it's the one bad thing about agencies / managers: they don't decease their prices, even for long time regular clients. This is why its important to get the contact information directly of your favorite girl to possibly bypass middleman charges (granted most girls don't stay in dubai for longer than 1-2 week periods, even when you have a favorite), as well as have numerous manager numbers who you can then price check for the the best deal.

But yeah, prices dont go down. They either stay the same, go up, or you try to negotiate a special deal with a regular you may have.

Long story short, I couldn't post for a while because when I was in Kuwait (I made monthly trips to dubai) I could not access this website at all, even with vpns and browsers. Now I'm back in the states and have no issue logging on so I plan to share more infomatiom.

My update so far is that I continue to utilize the escort ad agency managers (massage republic, eurogirlescort) instead of going to the meatmarkets. I haven't walked inside red square or czar in years. After you meet several ladies you like, several times, they are generally open to giving you their contact information and bypassing the manager altogether for a far cheaper price for the client (they're not supposed to, but they also hate paying commission to the manger as well). To note, these agency managers don't even live in Dubai, they're in Russia.

I've been generally satisfied with the selection, availability, and negotiations that escort ad managers provide compared to the in-person managers at Czar and Red Square who downright refuse to discuss services. So going forward, that will continue to be my mongering strategy.
