Posts: 431Myst is nice but difficult to get a table downstairs if you go late. Upstairs is kind of cramped but can get a corner table for makeout.

Posts: 7751The Cmdr's View on Bar Fines: Soi 6
In my opinion, taking a girl out of the bar to do short time is not cost effective. Personally, if I am going to bar fine a girl on Soi 6 it is going to be for long time. I have had really good success with that.
Full Disclaimer: I've never actually done a short time in a Soi 6 Bar. Unless you want to count getting my dick sucked as a short time encounter.

Posts: 86Practical considerations for pattaya
I'll be going in August. Any help much appreciated.
Passport. I intend to keep Passport book locked in hotel safe the entire time. Not worth the risk of losing by carrying.
Are there any scenarios where I'll need an official ID out own the prowl? If I want to book a cheap hotel somewhere for a few hours to knock off a piece of pussy will they need a passport to book me?
If I mind my own business and stay out of trouble any reason for police to ask for ID?
Cash. How easy is it to find legit ATM's? I've gotten ripped off by small ATMs so prefer ones in bank lobby. Easy to find? If I want to pull out say 15 k baht can I or do they limit amounts for a single withdrawal. Should I bring a lot of baht with me by buying at a NY bank?
Beach resort. I'm a big beach person and think of finding a nice resort on the beach to hang out at beach in the daytime. Not worried about cost.
What is the quality of the beach? Nice blue water with no rocks and easy waves? I spent many winters in Waikiki so I'm used to nice beaches.
Are the beach resorts too far from the night life? Would I be isolating myself too much.
Would such resorts have any problem with bringing girls ro room?
Getting around. Is there UBER or the equivalent? Let's say I go to a gentlemens club that's out of the way and take a taxi or auber getting there. Now I leave like 2 am. Will int the hard to find a taxi or UBER if it's not at a busy street. Is getting stranded a legit concern.
Weed. I like to do edibles when I'm mongering. Are there legal weed shops where to buy or is it underground and I have to take risk to acquire?

Posts: 5459The problem is that a lot of girls don't want to leave the bar, even for Short Time, because they might miss a Korean whale who will buy them 40 drinks.

Yes, this is true. You can pay ST for the girl and the bar charges a smaller bar fine (around 400-500 THB) for the room upstairs. It's a good way to see if you vibe with her before committing to a longer duration.

Posts: 612Soi 6 Standard Session in On Premises
Tell me you're too lazy to read the forum traffic without telling me.

The standard session on Soi 6 takes place in a room on the upper level of the bar. There is no "bar fine" in the conventional sense. But the bar charges a small fee for using the room, typically about 500 baht.

Posts: 261Soi 6 or bar question
I was watching a YouTube video and the guy was saying the girls in Soi six bars offer to do their services upstairs in rooms and you don't have to pay the bar fine to take them out. Is that true? The bars offer their own rooms? I like this idea not having to pay a 2000 or 3,000 bar fine plus pay the girl.

Posts: 4Pattaya / Jomtien (overdue) Report
Been a lurker for a super super long time but have never posted mainly because I've not been able to register to site until less than a week ago. Been to Thailand around 5 to 6 times now and longest has been maybe a month at most. I tend to like quieter places for mongering but the last time I went (January this year) I went to Pattaya for the first time and oh boy it was a doozy. I stayed at ViewTalay (next to that super huge mall) for a week and had a pretty good time there. Had some really good nights but it was a bit too in your face for my tastes long term.
Afterward, I went to Jomtien for a week which was way more my vibe. It was quieter and the beach was (marginally) better. The Rompho complex was my main hunting ground. The pickings obviously weren't comparable to Pattaya but I am not particular and generally don't go for the supermodels. Peak night for me is to bag someone who can carry a passable conversation and leave without an issue the next morning and the beer complex more or less worked for that. LT prices are generally 2. 5 k to 3 k. I almost never do ST unless it's TF. I also frequented some of the GCs in Jomtien, which are pretty chill places honestly.
I wish I could go into more detail but its been a hot second and I was smashed 'erry night. Now I that I have my login I should be able to report in a more timely manner when I visit. God bless you all and this forum.

I was thinking about spending some time in Jomtien. Does Jomtien have the boom-boom massage and bars that Pattaya has?
Thanks-.

I always arrive before 0300 to take advantage of bottle specials. You also get a better selection of where to post up in the club. They will store your bottle for you if you don't finish it. The Cmdr doesn't buy drinks. When The Cmdr goes out he only buys bottles.
Cannot tell you about the freelancers cause I always bring sand to the beach and my table is full of girls from Soi 6 who join me and my girl for the after party when the bars close.

Posts: 65I would urge you to read the forums. Do your own research. Come up with a list of questions. And see if those get answered by your own research. Use the collective knowledge on the board as a place to bounce idea and verify your homework. This is especially important for you to do since you are Indian . I am of Indian origin myself. Although based out of United States Indians do not have a very good reputation in Thailand, so it is imperative that you go above and beyond in presenting yourself in the most professional and decent manner so as to defy any stereotypes.

Posts: 2926TBH 1500 is not a bad price for a volume discounted rate on a 34-man train. Of course, it gets even cheaper if the fellas rotate to the back of the train for 2nd and 3rd pops.
