I think I've done incalls to homes like twice in my life. Once was in Paris, to the apartment of a published Brazilian model who spoke English. Navigation is definitely an issue in San Salvador. I found using the blue dot on google maps, or live location on Whatsapp to be more effective than street numbers and address names. Sorry the experience was not ideal. Sounds like hitting up WG 3 might have been an option.
