I was there a week in the end of June this year. In general, as I guess you all have heard by now, ladydrinks have raised in cost and is around 180-200 in many places. Although there are bars where it still around 150.

Soi 6:

Drink minimums is the latest thing that has been added in Pattaya. It seems some people belive they can just ask for whatever extra costs they want. On soi 6 many bars have started with it. I walk out when I hear it. I had one girl in bars that don't charge drink minimums, no drink minimums and ok prices. And with ok prices I mean 1200 to the girl. Notice that I discuss the prices, not just accept whatever is being thrown at me. One of the girls asked for 1500 but the other one said herself that the girl and the barfine is 1500 in total.

I have never experienced girls being so grabby and hungry for customers on soi 6 as this time.

Didn't find anything special here. I found a girl in myth night. But when we started talking about barfines I heard that she wanted 3000 LT, which was ok as she was young and cute. BF LT was 700. But then I heard that it was a drink minimum of 3 LD. Paid for the one beer and one LD I already had and walked out. But on my way out I talked to the mamasan and asked her why the old Pattaya was busy and successful despite there being no minimum ladydrinks. I told her that things like this only give Pattaya a bad reputation. Thais don't really like to argue so I said "good luck, you are going to need it" and left.

I asked around about barfines and prices and they seem to be all over the place.

GOGO-bars:

Some in walking street now have draft beers for around 100 baht. Palace agogo have for 100 baht. This is great value for eye candy. Palace is the best gogo on WS for eye candy. Pin-up has improved since 2024, when I was surprised at the negative change in quality. Many have happy hour etc. Prices are still high for barfining and for girls. One of the days I was in Palace it was full of east Asians. But the two other days I was there then not even 45% of the seats were taken. Same goes for the others I visited on WS.

On LK metro it is a very mixed bag. Lady love has many cuties but they are also a bit cold. In this bar I actually talked to one women that accepted 3000 for LT  But don't epect that from the majority of women there. In Ladylove it was the first time that a girl didn't want to sit with me for a ladydrink, later she sat down with some east Asian. First time I was refused by a Korea-only girl. But it didn't bother me to much, this is now what happends in Pattaya. And I am not old and fat, haha. But it is very bad manner and not very positive for the bars image.

When it comes to atmosphere and fun then I think las vegas agogo and destiny was good. Didn't ask any prices.

Bars in general around LK Metro and soi bukhao:

Don't expect any low prices if you don't negotiate. The most chocking was that ladies in Annie jacks bar ask 3 k ST and 5 K LT. That was the price I got from one of the girls that had worked earlier at crystal club agogo. She is now like 35 years old and average looking. Its very quiet and still they ask this type of prices. I don't know if this is true for all ladies in Annie jacks but it is utterly absurd to sit there without customers and ask this prices.

Prices are negotiable in many bars and there are good deals to be had, but the thing today is that this takes some experience and to dare to negotiate prices. ST can be had for 1200 with some girls. I was walking past one of the old bars close to LK metro. Saw an average looking 24 year old. She came LT with me for 2000 and barfine was 300. First night with her was good but second time she was mostly a starfish. Although we got along very well.

Gentlemens club:

In conclusion I can say that you can have a good time in Pattaya but to get good prices you must negotiate the costs or visit the right places. You must be "street smart" for a lack of a better term. I would advise everyone to boycott bars that have drink minimums for barfines. This is pure bullshit! And as I said before, is it not strange that Pattaya flourished before without all of this extra drink minimums and high barfines? Right now Pattaya is quiet and I don't really see the next "high season" being something that will really improve anything. Maybe for some and a little bit, but nothing to brag about.

I'm in NYC and pay the equivalent of 13,000 BHT for just one hour with a girl in her 30's. So when I'm in Pattaya I'll be targeting the hotter lookin in their 20's and not worry about negotiating. So if all in its 8-10 k BHT for 2-3 hours it's a bargain to me.

Do as you wish, check out Pattaya. Just be mindful that it is pretty slow, and for me, a bit disappointing.

Yes, there is slightly more activity at the weekend than during week nights. But as with all things, YMMV.

If you go to Koh Samet, I highly recommend that you go with friends or bring your own girl. I've only been once and I brought my own girl. I have zero temptation to go to Samet alone.

Forget the friends, you definitely better bring your own girl. Nice beaches, but I also have zero temptation to go back. You also have to worry about those things in the water under the sand that will stick in your feet. They are kind of like sea urchin. It is pretty expensive (compared to Thai standards) there as well. Also same as Koh Larn, the speed boat is 500 baht and the big boat is like 40 baht. I recommend the big boat. There is poor communication on the speed boat side of the game because there are so many companies, plus that speedboat exhaust is a killer.

What do you think you will miss? Do you think hookers are waiting for the weekend to make money? That is like asking if you will miss something at Disney if you don't go on a weekend. Every day is the same. Unless you plan on fucking over 100 chicks per day, then day of the week nor season will make a difference to you (and if you did plan on fucking over 100 chicks per day, it still would not make a difference.) Maybe you have to go in order to understand. The only difference between weekday and weekend is that on the weekend a lot of people from Bangkok come making more traffic.

Just got back a few days ago. Trip was fine but that's about it. Worst trip I've had there so far but mostly because my other trips were much better.

I went there during low season last year and by comparison, its now twice as slow.

Bars:

Many are still there but one increasingly wonders why. I have never seen a poorer lineup than I did this time.

I spent time in my usual haunts many nights: soy 7, myth night, tree town, soy phukhao and soy chayapoon.

I would particularly flay soy phukhao for, outside of being uncomfortable to navigate, stands out for the highest prices: 200 ladydrinks, 1500 barfines. And for what exactly?

These increased prices are at the level that any sane person would laugh them out of the room. (Would a Thai person pay 180 baht to have a drink with these old bags? I doubt it).

Its low season, these bars are struggling to get girls to work there. Their salaries and ladydrink fees have to increase, and equally the customer has to bear it through not only the increase in bar costs, but the increased fee for whatever you organise with her post-barfine. And all with even less of a guarantee that she'll provide a decent service.

Even in the smaller bars, same issue: the few that are even remotely attractive arrived 3 days ago and 'never go with customer before'. My advice? Be the asshole that asks them if they do short time or long time before getting them any drink.

Inflation? Prices have gone up slightly all around. I estimate around 30 baht on the ladydrinks vs last year. In terms of the asking prices of the girls, at face values, by 500-1000 minimum: Short Time starting at 2000 wherever, LT at 3000. (Yes, you can find lower if you try hard enough). I asked one of the manager women at one of the marks about the kha-khong-chiib, and she claimed an increase of 20% vs last year in general. So take that as you wish. Those living full time in Pattaya might be better placed to give a judgement on this.

!!!!Minimum lady drinks: but aside from the ugly girls, the low effort sitting of the few pretty ones at the front and increased prices. What really rattles me, what really rubs me the wrong way us this particular phenomenon. Yes, the idea of a bar owner making you buy a few extra drinks before going with a girl existed before. Or the girl herself making a deal with you fir a few extra. None of that is new.

What is new is a number if these shitty beer bars having the audacity to demand a minimum number before you can barfine. Outside of some girls asking it so they can meet their unrealistic quote in low season (why is this my problem? This dumb attitude if slaughtering the golden goose is based in the dumb thai attitude of charging more during periods of low demand in the hope of compensating for the low demand. And honestly, it insults my intelligence to the point that I just will not engage with it. These bars, watching developments, watching the disappearance of whole areas over the last 10 years, seem to have a death wish. Or simply theyre keeping up the appearance of being alive abd vibrant when they are actually just zombie businesses barely staying afloat. The look of disappointment when you occasionally order a water makes sense now. They know that no one sober would put up with it.

Seriously: one girl at a bar in myth night, (aptly called scammer bar) seriously said there was a 10 lady drink minimum!

Nightclubs: even here a lot of the girls were way over age or not really my type. Many if those that were, were not looking for customers. Eventually I just didn't feel like coming down to Walking Street just to comb these places down. I did grab one and her friend stayed with them till the morning chilling out, only for the obe I was with to dare, half drunk, half tired, demand 5000 baht for short time. I refused. We both fell asleep, she left in the morning. Completely ungrateful.

Anyway, Myth Night and Republic are still there, but slower. Insomnia I completely missed this time so can't say anything about it. I can't say from my experience that running off to Walking Street at 3 or 4am is well advised. I would at that point just call it a night.

Juju is still active past 4am on Soy Pukhao at the crossing with Soy Chayapoon anyway... but there, same thing. Many nights not worth fishing around there either.

Gentlemen's Clubs: very empty while I was there and I spent a long afternoon / evening going through most of soy bonkot checking them out, heading eastwards to soy chayapoon. Anyone who has been to an FKK will laugh at this poor attempt at what it is. Except for the prices:

Some may like it, some may hate it. Maybe it's down to whether one is looking for short time during the daytime or night. Still better than the cesspool on Soy 6.

A decline in the girls, prices and whatnot, I have equally noticed that the quality if people there have gone from a younger crowd years ago, to an appalling set of weirdos that honestly I would mostly avoid. Alcoholics, mostly from northern Britain, who probably can still enjoy the sorry state of the bars thanks to around the clock inebriation.

But that is the point. These are foreigners that live there, mostly not tourists coming to visit (probably given the price of airfare with events in the middle east currently).

Unlike these aforementioned people, I think many tourists have made the sounder choice of going somewhere else rather than pretend this place is something its not, like good.

"Shot (shit) time?": I admit I have always been more if a sucker for long time. Its one of the things Thailand has on other places abd locations. However I've noticed that's in decline: many if the girls whi, rather than work hard as before in short season given the very few tourists about, will blatantly still attempt to get that quick money from upselling for short time, or during long time, will have their service take a dump and try to get out early (of course I didn't pay in full for that).

The issue is and will remain: Where I live I can get short time when I want. I don't need some **** to dare ask me 5000+ baht for it. Especially when I now have to ask whether they do extras that were just part of the package naturally 10 years ago. Lots of these girls have just become lazy low performers that honestly I don't think should be rewarded. Funniest is when they then try to keep up appearances with BS, ie the canned line they know how to repeat that they apparently have an army of potential customers around waiting to short time them every hour ("then why are you still on thai friendly at 5 am, randomly liking my profile?")

This may be good enough for sex-starved people who live in a country without legalised prostitution, it still is crap value for money and I'm not a shmuck.

My experiences:

Around 8 girls. 2 of which from a nightclub which ended if being "free" (honestly, I paid fir drinks all night and just was chilled, not expecting anything). 2 barfines that were fine, 1 barfine that was crap and she left early, 1 short time off thai friendly which was great (but to hell with short time, I can do that at home). First night long time off TF which was great. 1 night at karaoke where the couple in was with brought some extra girls along, one who came with me than left earlier than I wanted, and I think one first time blowjob at a gentleman's club on soy bonkot.

Despite all this, last two nights went awfully awry which has left a bad taste in my mouth. Bad luck I guess (and bad organization on my part, leaving things too late the one night, and not making contingencies in case the girl I ended up kicking out, didn't work out).

Caveats to my view: I have written quite a bit of negative, but I know its a particular, subjective view of someone coming in over a limited period of time. Those living there, who I invite to rip what I wrote apart where they disagree, will naturally have the benefit of time. Do not need to push every single night. A bad night is irrelevant next to all the others.
When you're me and there on holiday, you try to make each night count as you know you won't be there for very long. Hell, if you live there, if I lived there, I would just keep a network of girls at your beck and call and not bother with the venues that much. I envy those that are able to min and max Pattaya in that way. But for the rest of us mere mortals, where the nights are left to chance, it seems to have become a bit less fun.

Conclusion: fun can still be had, particularly the non-formal route. But I can't help but think and know that you can access that route elsewhere without going to Pattaya as well.

If I were pressed, I would tell people to give Pattaya a pass for now. And that is as someone who has been going for 10 years now. If you do go, be aware what is there now.

But that is the point. These are foreigners that live there, mostly not tourists coming to visit (probably given the price of airfare with events in the middle east currently).

Unlike these aforementioned people, I think many tourists have made the sounder choice of going somewhere else rather than pretend this place is something its not, like good.

"Shot (shit) time?": I admit I have always been more if a sucker for long time. Its one of the things Thailand has on other places abd locations. However I've noticed that's in decline: many if the girls whi, rather than work hard as before in short season given the very few tourists about, will blatantly still attempt to get that quick money from upselling for short time, or during long time, will have their service take a dump and try to get out early (of course I didn't pay in full for that).

The issue is and will remain: Where I live I can get short time when I want. I don't need some **** to dare ask me 5000+ baht for it. Especially when I now have to ask whether they do extras that were just part of the package naturally 10 years ago. Lots of these girls have just become lazy low performers that honestly I don't think should be rewarded. Funniest is when they then try to keep up appearances with BS, ie the canned line they know how to repeat that they apparently have an army of potential customers around waiting to short time them every hour ("then why are you still on thai friendly at 5 am, randomly liking my profile?")

This may be good enough for sex-starved people who live in a country without legalised prostitution, it still is crap value for money and I'm not a shmuck.

My experiences:

Around 8 girls. 2 of which from a nightclub which ended if being "free" (honestly, I paid fir drinks all night and just was chilled, not expecting anything). 2 barfines that were fine, 1 barfine that was crap and she left early, 1 short time off thai friendly which was great (but to hell with short time, I can do that at home). First night long time off TF which was great. 1 night at karaoke where the couple in was with brought some extra girls along, one who came with me than left earlier than I wanted, and I think one first time blowjob at a gentleman's club on soy bonkot.

Despite all this, last two nights went awfully awry which has left a bad taste in my mouth. Bad luck I guess (and bad organization on my part, leaving things too late the one night, and not making contingencies in case the girl I ended up kicking out, didn't work out).

Caveats to my view: I have written quite a bit of negative, but I know its a particular, subjective view of someone coming in over a limited period of time. Those living there, who I invite to rip what I wrote apart where they disagree, will naturally have the benefit of time. Do not need to push every single night. A bad night is irrelevant next to all the others.
When you're me and there on holiday, you try to make each night count as you know you won't be there for very long. Hell, if you live there, if I lived there, I would just keep a network of girls at your beck and call and not bother with the venues that much. I envy those that are able to min and max Pattaya in that way. But for the rest of us mere mortals, where the nights are left to chance, it seems to have become a bit less fun.

Conclusion: fun can still be had, particularly the non-formal route. But I can't help but think and know that you can access that route elsewhere without going to Pattaya as well.

If I were pressed, I would tell people to give Pattaya a pass for now. And that is as someone who has been going for 10 years now. If you do go, be aware what is there now.

Went to Club Fate after reading about it on the forum and outside. Entered and took right side couch near the bar counter. Some offer card was kept on the table which read 399 baht worth of drinks and everything comes off. Not much crowd only 2-3 couches were occupied. Few ladies were playing pool. I order non-alcoholic drink and comes a spinner in a yellow one piece dress and sits besides me. Pleasantries exchanged and she asked for a lady drink. I tried to ignore but she was persistent. A Brit man, not sure if he's the owner or the manager, came to the table and offered if I'd like to have a drink shot and asked to join the ladies on the pool table. I politely denied, finished my drink, paid and left. There was no vibe at all. Majority of the staff was sitting outside the premises. Not my type of club.

Near Tree Town. I think the owner is an Aussie named Brent. Not sure of the dude's name. Beer bar prices; I think about 80 baht. No bar fines; No lady drinks. If the "lady" wants a drink, same prices for her. I saw another video of the place, but can't seem to find it right now.

I know the location, when it first opened it was owned by a guy from Florida, an American he did an interview maybe Youtube or Pattaya Mail? Pretty such his name was Andy as I noted after the A dropped off broke or something stay like that for a long time then the see went up? LOL no surprise it has changed hand if not more than once, after it was open I remember outside was black smoke glass, it they changed the window so they can slide open see inside like a corner beer bar, then I remember girls sitting outside on stools, now based on the report it is like Soi Baukhao Bamboo bar just outside W. S. , there was a place across from Billibong, year back that try something like it more like W. S. I-Bar, then it got raided no license or something and still unrented for years until recent.

Candy club isn't really worth a visit IMHO as it's just a small place with music to loud and older attractive freelancers nothing special. However a place that I believe has a chance to be a hit is Hypnotic the newish disco on LK metro. I remember when Ask friends was in that location it was a lot of fun hopefully this place can be similar.

There are fewer International Tricks roaming the streets or on line: Thai Friendly. There are better deals to be had also.

Numerical ratings are very subjective. If you like Bangkok, then my feedback is stay in Bangkok. Unless you have the time and willingness to check out Pattaya.
