There is nothing wrong with being cheap. The issue is cheapskates criticizing others for overspending and calling them simps. You may be cheap and that's fine but it is always very irritating for these guys to constantly criticize others if they spend more than they do.

It is not that they are simps, it is sometimes just the fact that an extra 50-100 mil is not a lot of money to them when it comes to rewarding girls for a good time.

Posts: 576This concept is mind -blowing
Because I live in a house with three or four young women who work in these specific areas, I see exactly what they do with their money, how they spend it, and the choices they make. Just because you spend an excessive amount of money on a girl simply because you can, that does not mean you are responsible for lifting her out of poverty.

Who is going to tell these girls that they are making irresponsible life choices, even after you make a massive "donation" just to be with them? I simply don't understand the logic that having money and the ability to pay more means it is your responsibility to change the lifestyle of a girl who is already supporting her boyfriend and his habits for free, just because you can afford her asking price. Posts: 576Every Individual Makes His Own Choice!
One thing I learned a long time ago is that everyone knows how to spend money, but not everyone knows how to save it. No one can justify excessive spending simply because "they've got it"—that is just a choice an individual makes.
I refuse to let someone charge me extra just to fit in with the crowd of tourists who frequent Parque Lleras and other expensive places simply because they don't speak the language. If speaking the language and understanding the culture allows me to spend less, that's exactly what I'm going to do.
I've never been into fashion, and I've never been into spending excess money just to make myself look bigger or better. If spending the bare minimum makes me "cheap," or if buying houses during COVID-19 makes me a horrible person, so be it. But just because you shop in those expensive areas and it makes you feel good because you can afford it, that doesn't make other people the bad guys. They've simply learned the culture and are able to get the exact same thing you're spending 500,000 or 600,000 pesos on for less than $100 or 200,000 pesos.
That's a choice you are choosing to make. Like I've said before on one of my posts: it's your money, so spend it how you choose—and allow others to spend theirs how they choose. End of story. Stay vigilant. PN!

It's not simply about what a cheapskate does with his money. It's about the false justifications, rationalizations, and lies they tell to try to explain away their penny pinching ways as something other than being the cheapskates that they are. It's annoying because guys who don't know any better believe a cheapskate's bullshit and decide, for example, not to patronize a particular place because the cheapskate said all the girls there have attitudes, or the girls look just as good somewhere else, or it's the exact same girls working over here as over there, or there are just as many girls working over here as over there, or the girls can't approach you, and blah, blah, blah on and on and on. But, anybody in the know understands all these claims are pure grade bullshit, and what's really going on is that you have a cheap Charlie who just doesn't want to pay the price for patronizing a particular place. He just doesn't want to spend the money, but he doesn't want to say that though. He doesn't want to admit that he's just a cheap Charlie. So instead, he makes up all kinds of bullshit claims based on a foundation of lies to try to make himself (not you) look good and sound reasonable. I mean, when have we ever heard a cheapskate confess, "Yes, I'm a cheap Charlie I am"! No, they would rather engage in lies, deception, and deceit versus own up to who and what they truly are. This is what cheap Charlies do. It's your money. Spend it how you please. But don't make shit up about a business just because you don't want to spend the money to go there.

What is your problem? I have no desire to go back and forth with you, personally I wouldn't live in Medellin for any reason. Just say your piece and keep it moving. I've given advice several years and people only half listen to it.

First of all we're here to provide information that will be helpful to other mongers trying to impress random people on the internet is not necessary. On one hand you live in large house but on the other hand you got in trouble trying to give cheap phones to down and out women.

But my Opinion has no dominion of what you want to do. Just be safe.

Posts: 759The cheap guys keep the prices down and make you look good. Why are you so irritated about what other people do with their money?

Posts: 2018I don't dispute your story at all. But the key is you're talking about Aranjuez or Manrique. I'm sure you can find hot 19 year olds that will bone for a modest sum there. But the vast majority of foreign guys that go to Medellin are not going to be comfortable staying in those neighborhoods. Those are 1, 2, at best strata 3 areas of the city. You speak Spanish and are able to blend in in those neighborhoods, but most foreign guys are going to stick out.

Home break-ins (despite having doorman / security), mugging on the street, etc. I know an American of Puerto Rican background who was killed while staying in MDE.

For those of living stateside (USA) the cost of P4P with civilians can cost $500 and some girls want $1,000. I don't even bother with it. When I am in Medellin I pay between 200 k and 600 k. I can afford to pay more than this easily.

I was in Tijuana several weeks ago and those club girls charge a mint for "quick" sessions. That appeals to married guys who sneak out every now and then. I personally don't go in the park anymore. It takes a very bold person to meet guys for sex that you don't know. The stories I have that many guys than you think are psychos.
If that's the exposure why on earth would someone sell their bodies for rock bottom prices to please a penny pincher? Would you do the same if you were in their position? Of course not.

Posts: 576Can you answer this for me?
I have a few questions. First, who is watching the young teenage girls while their mothers are working in Parque Lleras and Parque Botero? Second, what job does a 25-year-old Venezuelan female who immigrates to Colombia have that allows her to make sufficient money to live a reasonable lifestyle? If a person cannot find any employment other than domestic work—which only pays around 325,000 pesos weekly—what other job will she do to provide enough money to support herself and potentially a young child?

Imagine working 12 hours a day for just $31. That is the equivalent of $2.60 an hour, yet people here in Medellin consider that a very good wage. Let that sink in the next time you hand someone 400,000 to 500,000 pesos for sex. Imagine a grown man working 12 hours a day for just 100,000 pesos. Stay Vigilant. PN!
