This will be my 1st ever report or posting here.

I visited Rio in July and although I have sparingly participated in these activities before, it was my 1st proper / planned mongering trip.

I picked Rio for various reasons, but I went there equipped with the information found here.

Rio as a city did not disappoint. It still has some of that charm and it has excellent cycling and public transit options. I stayed in Copacabana, near the prives / termas but also near metro station for field trips to downtown. I stayed in 5 star hotels for most days (did not attempt to bring guests). I then rented an Airbnb in Copa (guests were allowed no problem).

I had some massive letdowns and then I had some really good days and sessions. Overall, not too bad for my 1st trip. A mixed bag of experiences.
