I couldn't believe when I was leaving Monte Carlo the last time I was in Rio, and the damn security guard holds up a phone with a message on it in English asking for a tip! I expressed my annoyance and kept it moving. No tip forthcoming!

Posts: 1616Can lead a horse to water but.
No matter how much information you give these guys, they will insist on their right to overspend!! Look at any of the local sex forums and you won't see a single brasilian leaving a tip, no matter how good the session was! (This is why every damn employee at 4 X4, from the Girls, Security, Waiters, Towel and Room Key girl, the Room Cleaners, the staff behind the desk, the doorman, they all ask for tips). It's because the stupid ass gringos hand out 50-100 reais like its candy. Meanwhile, the brasilians are laughing at us while paying their bill.

Posts: 1468Don't be a Tourist, Be a Traveler
Do what you are like, I know you will, but all the OP is saying is "don't spoil the market. Behave like the local customers, some of whom have more money than you. This has nothing to do with treating the girls like "merchandise".

Maybe you can remember the "Prime Directive ("Starfleet General Order 1") ie the "non-interference directive" in Star Trek that prohibited its members from interfering with the natural development of alien civilizations. Applying this idea to traveling among different cultures means respecting these cultures and in the current context it means, don't be an ugly tourist when you travel. Leave no wake.
You may think my this is just foolishness or some form of cheap charlie-ism, but it is not. RJ and SP are still mostly unspoiled. I have seen too many once great destinations ruined by over touristration and by foreigner travelers violating the "non-interference rule". AC and Sabang in the PI are the most glaring examples, but there a plenty of others as well including Pattaya, Phuket, and even BKK. So don't do it. The girls still do not expect tips from their clients. But if horny tourists violate local customs en masse, it won't be long before the girls start saying "tip sir, tip sir for" for nothing like they do in the places I just mentioned above.
Rant over.

Posts: 2121I remember your post at the time and I was aware of her, she's now 7 years older and her arse got saggy, not sure if that old saggy arse is worth 1,000 reais plus the pictures are probably over 7 years old. There's another girl on the site now Alana Davis, those must be old photos also because in 2025 she came over and looked older than her photos.

Posts: 36That's up to each person and their satisfaction in whether or not to tip. Don't treat girls like mere merchandise.

There is a festival called "Rock in Rio" coming up during the first week of September and its driven prices out of the roof. Been checking Booking.com and Airbnb.com and getting prices from $200 a night for apartments that were $80 before, same for Hotels too. I had 2 different apartment rental companies sending messages about the increase in prices and asking me too book early. I didn't and now it's more than double.
Guys please read the fucking forum. People are distorting the market and spoiling things for others. $30 is 150 reals, that's the price of a session in some places. It looks like small change, but it fucks up everything for others. I noticed on my last trip to Eden Spa that most girls don't want to do BBBJ or anal and I knew something was wrong. They had this take it or leave it attitude which was a turn off. I didn't even bother to session there at all.
All over Copacabana there is a change in attitude and pricing. RTFF is always priceless.

For all the newbies who have a million questions about going to Rio de Janiero, I have one important piece of advice. Please stop fucking tipping these girls for things they should be doing as part of your session! There is no reason to tip these girls to do their job. If they ask for a tip, tell them "Thank you but no thank you" then take another female. Don't tip for a BBJ, don't tip for pictures, don't tip for anal, etc. Trust me, they are not demanding tips from the Brasilian men, only dumb gringos who don't know any better.

Posts: 3129Perola Negra is in time out.
Perola negra is enforcing a ban on outside beverages while their girls ask 700 r for an hour so avoid, IMHO. Real mongers know a full hour of fucking requires hydration with like 1 liter of more of coconut water.
Get numbers, grab asses.
Security came up and hassled vagabundo, so vagabundo put his hands on the security dude's shoulder in a forceful way that said, sure pal, let's go a few rounds at muay thai. Let's see. Yeah thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil for I am the baddest motherfucker in the valley.

Posts: 5Day time in Copa / Ipanema / Leblon
Hello, my third time in Rio coming in a month.
I read about 100 pages, and spent a lot of time here.
Is it true that the only day time place with a presentation is Eden in the Copa / Leblon / Ipanema areas?
I prefer day time (safer) and I prefer to see a presentation so I can choose who I like. Also prefer those 3 neighborhoods as that's where I live, and its closer.
Eden is where I spent most of my visits.
I see a few centro places, any in particular that have a wide selection? Any other places in Copa / leb / IPA?

Posts: 2121I don't think they ever charged a cover charge to get in but they do charge an exit fee for the girl you leave with. I don't know the last time you were there but they may have charged an entrance fee before and gave you 2 drinks but I haven't seen that in years unless the doorman is pulling a scam which I know he does. I frequent the place but don't trust them.

Posts: 2121This caught my attention, she charged you tax? I guess you used a credit card and has to claim this on her business. I've always paid cash.

Hello.
I am checking in Agoda hotel price in Copagabana, and it result less expensive (with rewiew not bad) is at least 70 euro. I check booking an it is worster.
I checked Airbndb and there are some apartment at 40 euro, but they look really not nice.
In Rio are there cheaper place (but good too) than Copagabana?
Are in all Brasil hotel with similar price, or just in Copagabana?
I were in a lot of country in Soudh Asia and I used to pay 3-4 star very good hotel around 25 euro for night. In Brasil wath is normal price?
I would plan a 6 weeks trip, so hotel price matter (41 nights.).
