Are you telling me that my fellow citizens serving in the US Navy will not be able to download a app and request to see a girl in the privacy of their own hotel room? We all know what goes on behind closed door is not only legal in Thailand but impossible to track. Glad to know that I'm not the only one who felt like that in The Factory GC. For now The Red House & Bada Bing are my favs though I'm still exploring the GC territory.

Thanks for the response brother JizzyB. The Factory was full of cold fish when I visited. I'll try it again on another day. I had an exceptional experience in The Red House and plan to return. Never been to Bada Bing but passing by there I really liked the line of girls sitting outside. Need to put it on my to visit list.

I read another praise for Club Fate. Dez is that Brit chap right? Girls are there but they mostly sit outside the club gossiping and few play at pool table. Maybe I went on a wrong / low day.

Club Fate used to be nicknamed "Club Fat", but there are now some much more petite young ladies there.

For those who are not familiar with Club Fate, it is a late night (open till 4 AM) Gents Club. Fairly recently expanded from it's smaller footprint, it has some of the most comfortable couches and chairs of any of the GCs I frequent. The manager, Dez, is a friendly guy. They have a good pool table surrounded by sharks in tight dresses, so be prepared to lose. The girls are friendly, the blowjobs are good and it's a great place to wind down the evening on Soi Boomerang.

What crackdown? What arrest of girls? I literally saw with my own eyes on beach road that police are sitting on chair as if they cannot see any girls while there are about 3 girls on their right and 3 on their left, I mean working girls, waiting for customers on Sunday and also on Saturday late 1 AM. So they arrested 25 women in total, on a Saturday night on Beach Road, Second Road, and in other public areas. Wow, I'm impressed LOL. There must have been hundreds of women standing there, so it's just a drop in the ocean.

They will be disappointed, it's only 5000 sailors including offiers. Gogo bar named Chick: Superb gogo with nude girls. You can easily see about 14 nude girls+ 14 on other side that turn up one by one to face you. So many nude girls that you forget their numbers to call them for lady drink (250 baht). Their entry is 200 baht and then your beer is 100 baht. I liked this one too much. I spent 2 hours inside. I spent on lady drinks too. The girl said 2000 baht is bar fine and 4000 baht short time. I refused to pay so much and came out.

Gogo bar named Harem: Total rip off. The girls are only 8 and that is it. Same prices for entry 200 baht + 100 baht beer + lady drink 250 baht. They literally know they are scamming you and just want to bore you with same girls. Gogo Bars like this should not exist.

The girls at Chick are not nude. There are 2 topless shifts and one with tops on. Based on my experience, the only Thai lady gogos in Walking Street with fully nude girls (don't know anything about the Russian ones as I have never been in one) are the 2 Windmill clubs (and apparently Electric Blue, which is next to them, althouigh I have not been to this one so cannot confirm).

Harem normally has two topless shifts and one top on shift of about 10-12 girls each.

This is nothing more than a show by the Pattaya officials, Historically Beach Road has always been the problem no matter who comes doing the raid is just to elliminate any potential problem. This action just forces if they actually do visit to places Like Soi 6, WS. Where it is still illegal but legal at the same time! LOL! This is nothing new same as if a place was holding the World Cup, Superbowl LOL.

Sailor or any tourist can still be " I love you long time " but just can't negotiate in open " they want one to do it in a venue think of it as buying a lady drink! then it becomes legal!

PATTAYA - Police and human security officials arrested Thai, Lao and Ugandan women for alleged street prostitution on Saturday night, only days ahead of the arrival of about 5,000 crew and marines aboard a US navy strike group.

Does anyone honestly believe the sweep of prostitutes was for "street prostitution"? That they were caught actually fucking and sucking customers in exchange for money right there on the Beach Road sidewalk? Lolol.

This is obviously another example of lazy or poorly translated phrasing of what prostitutes in Thailand are almost always swept up for in public places. Not "for prostitution", of course, but for being seen openly and shamelessly soliciting for prostitution in a public place.

The video report of the sweep posted previously got it right. Twice. Once at around the 0:12 mark and again at around the 2:10 mark; "They (Pattaya City and Chonburi) have affirmed solicitation in public areas is against Thai law" and "Pattaya City Police and the Chonburi Ministry of Social Development and Human Security recently conducted a sweep to crackdown on solicitation along Pattaya Beach, 2nd Road and other high risk public areas to clearly demonstrate that Thailand strictly enforces laws against public solicitation.".

Why aren't they concerned about demonstrating that Thailand strictly enforces laws against, you know, discreetly agreeing to and engaging in prostitution between consenting adults?

Because nobody has ever found a law forbidding that in Thailand. Nor has anyone been arrested for it in Thailand. Nor has anyone been jailed for it in Thailand. Nor has anyone been punished for it under the law in Thailand.

It's the same old, same old laws against certain prostitution-related behaviors for which there are several citations and sections written in Plain Language in the Thai Penal Code and Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act of 1996 subject to arrest and punishment and not for consenting adults age 18 or older merely discreetly agreeing to exchange money for sex and then discreetly engaging in that behavior in private, for which there are no laws or citation of a crime subject to arrest or punishment written in Plain Language, Complicated Language or any other language anywhere in any legally enforceable Code or Act in Thailand.

It's refreshing to hear the translated audio of that report, probably an A. I. Narrator, getting it right about exactly what the infraction is for which the police were conducting the prostitution sweeps. Twice, in fact. And the timing couldn't be better for the ISG site's Thailand forum readers, IMHO.

The 20-strong team detained 18 Thai women, five Lao women and two Ugandan women along Pattaya beach, Pattaya Sai 2 Road and other public areas on Saturday night and charged them with street prostitution.

Janjira Thaibundit, social development and human security chief in Chon Buri, said the arrested women were fined and later released. The action reflected enforcement of the law against street prostitution, which is illegal, and was also aimed at preventing minors being drawn into the street trade, she said.

Is she a unicorn?

I watched that video years ago and immediately assumed that she was atypical of the girls in any Pattaya GC. Too good looking and personable to work long term in any such position. I've never been to a Pattaya GC, but reading this forum has given me the impression that most Pattaya GC girls are very ordinary. That girl was far better than ordinary.

Is she an unicorn for an infrequent visitor to Pattaya who is checking out GC's for 1 day in his trip? Likely but even then you may find a girl much better than her if you're lucky.

Is she a unicorn for someone who lives in Pattaya or goes to GC's and BJ bars often? Absolutely not. When I used to live in Pattaya and do my weekly GC rounds I met a new pretty girl almost weekly. Many are above average gogo girl quality but only a handful are top gogo girl quality. Some of my ATF Pattaya girls are from GC's.

your take on XS & Chick Go Go Club was very interesting in light of the fact that Chick is part of the Pin Up, XS, Atmos Group.

It's because XS and Pin Up are generally busy or packed so can be picky who they let in. Chick and especially Atmos are in dire need of customers, at least the times I visited this trip.
