I must always quote the law. Because individuals want to interpret the law for others instead of allowing the grown men reading this site to read it for themselves.Prostitution means the acceptance of sexual intercourse, the acceptance of any other act, or the commission of any other act for sexual gratification of another person in a promiscuous manner for remuneration or any other benefit, irrespective of whether the person who accepts such act and the person who commits such act are of the same or opposite sex;
Section 7
Whoever advertises or agrees to advertise, induces, or introduces with documents or printed material, or acts by any other means to distribute information to the public in an obvious manner of solicitation or communication for prostitution of that person or of any other person, shall be punished with imprisonment of six months to two years, or a fine of ten thousand to forty thousand baht, or both.
Incorrect!

Each user is using the platform of Thai Friendly to communicate on the site. So the plain language of the law does not provide any exceptions. So, the moment a girl writes in communication to you that she is a Freelancer; the moment the International Trick asks for short time or other sexual services then a violation of Section 7 occurs.
This is correct.

The definition of Prostitution has been included for each individual International Trick. No interpretation by a Non-Thai, Non-member of the Thai Bar is needed.

Posts: 7969OMG. Now we're on to the Thai definition of Promiscuous
Whatever the Thai word for it is or if it accurately translates into English, I'm going with Thai Law's version of "in a promiscuous manner" to be closer to random and indiscriminate as McDonalds advertises and sells hamburgers randomly and indiscrimantly to anyone and everyone who has money to buy a hamburger and nothing to do with how many partners a hooker or a customer has had in their lifetimes.
Even without being in the room at the time I am 100% certain no Thai police officer has interrogated a prostitute they rounded up for "openly and shamelessly" soliciting for prostitution "in a public place causing a nuisance to the public" after an annoyed hotel or restaurant proprietor filed a complaint about how the crowds of prostitutes and their potential customers were making their lovely newly renovated facade look by asking Noi how many customers she had that week and then charging her with an additional and non existent Prostitution-related crime because her response was 2 more than the "in a promiscuous manner" Thai law limit.
And I am also 100% certain that no Thai translation of it applies to a consenting adult person-to-person conversation discussing and negotiating the exchange of money for sex and sex for money anywhere in Thailand, the parties involved walking in a normal pattern to and from whatever private quarters they intend to engage in it or all during their engagement in it even if it is the 4th such engagement for the prostitute that day and the 3rd one for her customer.promiscuous meaning in english
promiscuous
/prəˈmiskyəwəs/
Promiscuous means having many different sexual partners or relationships, usually without emotional commitment.
You can learn more detailed usage in the Cambridge Dictionary or the Merriam-Webster Dictionary.
General and Broad Meanings
The word also has non-sexual meanings that describe things mixed together randomly or done without careful choice:
Indiscriminate: Selecting or using things carelessly without a plan (e.g., a "promiscuous" reader who reads any book they find).
Mixed elements: A random or disorderly mixture of various people or things.
Technical (Networking): A promiscuous mode allows a network device to intercept and read all network traffic.
Synonyms
Casual
Indiscriminate
Random
Licentious

Posts: 7969Of course I have. Many times.
There is not one bar on Soi 6 with a sign outside advertising Sex For Money the way weed shops can now post signs advertising weed for money. There is not one bar with staff outside shouting the sale of Blowjobs and Fucking in exchange for money in front of a group of pedestrians and never if there is a police officer close enough to hear or see it. Not even on Soi 6.

Serpentine!" in order to avoid shots fired by Thai police hot on the trail of any hookers and their customers who have not violated any Thai law to be found in any legally enforceable document.
Thai police are not after you for what you and your lady just did and are on your way to continue doing. Really. You can relax. You and she would have to wear sandwich board signs with your intentions spelled out in Thai with neon lights along Soi 6 and Beach Road as well as Soi 4 and Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok before the police even notice you and before you come within a mile of what Thai law states clearly in plain language what they specifically deem to be illegal in Thailand.
I hate to burst the romanticized and Hollywood dramatic image of yourself being so street smart and clever to outfox the Thai police at every turn, to brilliantly dodge being arrested and charged with a crime because of your world-wise method of avoiding certain words in a person-to-person conversation on ThaiFriendly, looking both ways for any sign of the fuzz on the mean streets of Pattaya and Bangkok before you enter or exit a bar or massage shop, the Serpentine running to and from your room with a lady and all that.
But the fact is you are getting away with it because there is no law against what you or your consenting adult ladies are doing of a sexual nature in Thailand, money involved or no money involved. The Thai police are not even paying attention to you. There is no legal reason for them to pay attention to you.
Elmer Fudd from Podunk, USA can and will avoid being noticed and targetted for arrest for any sexual or prostitution crime whatsoever by the Thai police just as effectively as you and your P4 P ladies have done as long as he also confines his activities to consenting adults and also does not wear one of those neon lit sandwich board signs with his intentions spelled out on it even if he just stepped off the plane an hour earlier and has no idea a Thai Penal Code or Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act exists.

For between 500 - 2000 THB I can fuck in Pattaya (Short Time). No bar fines, no lady drinks. Long Time for me is 3000 THB.I know it isn't a GoGo, but I found a gal at Frog Bar on Walking Street back in February who told me the BF was 2000 (it was about 9), but after 11:00 the BF would go down to 1000.

The Act defines prostitution as sexual acts performed to gratify another person's desires in a "promiscuous manner" in return for money or benefit. Legal sources explicitly state that*no clear definition*of "promiscuous manner" is provided in the statute. * Similarly, the phrase "open and shameless manner" used regarding solicitation is also*not clearly defined. *.
Consequently, the interpretation of these terms relies on judicial discretion and the specific circumstances of each case, such as whether the acts are causing a public nuisance or occurring in established prostitution establishments.
Prostitution Establishment means the place or premises arranged for prostitution or allowed for prostitution, and shall include the place used for making contact or procuring another person for prostitution.

Solicitation of prostitution*is requesting, agreeing to pay, or negotiating for sexual services in exchange for money or something of value, even if no actual sexual act occurs. *.
Section 6
Any person who associates with another person in a prostitution establishment for the purpose of prostitution of oneself or another person shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month or to a fine not exceeding one thousand Baht or to both. If the offense under paragraph one is committed on account of compulsion or under an influence which cannot be avoided or resisted, the offender is not guilty.
Let me break down the elements of the crime for you:

Visitors to Soi 6 (or Soi Cowboy) know what to expect and that is why they go there. They are not being annoyed. If so, they would turn around after venturing down / up the soi a mere 10 meters. Then, you have "community standards". I'd suggest that the same activities and conduct allowed on Soi 6 would be frowned upon at the Grand Palace or what Pho in BKK.

Posts: 7740Some individuals develop fantasies in their mind because the are detached from reality.
Maybe you did not get the memo: The Cmdr does not give a FUCK what anyone else thinks of him, especially those posting in this thread.SubCmdr, if you don't want to be hated and scorned by members of this Forum
Not doing anything of the sort.maybe you should stop defaming, impairing the reputation of and imputing in a manner likely to expose every other member of ISG to hatred and scorn by continually and repeatedly asserting on this online platform that what virtually every one of us post about regarding the mere exchange of money for sex with consenting adults age 18 and older in Thailand "is not legal in Thailand" and therefore makes all of us sex criminals?
Already dealt with this issue. I am waiting for any senior member (or for that matter anyone at all) to stop flapping there gums and actually take some action in real life it they feel that strongly about it.Otherwise, you might find yourself the target of a class-action complaint to the authorities for precisely the Sections of the Thai Criminal Code that you have so generously cited and more than once. That's a lot of members here who have admitted to what you continually and repeatedly in post after post try to make a case for the powers that be in Thailand to arrest, charge, prosecute and sentence us for being sex criminals.
Has anyone made a complaint against me to the Royal Thai Police Department. If they have then maybe they should follow up. Because I haven't been contacted by them, yet. ROTFLMAO!! So much big talk. So little action.Which, if you succeed in your apparent mission to accomplish exactly that, is a hell of a lot more defaming and impairing to the reputation of everyone on this Forum than simply pointing out what you are literally telling the world on this public online platform about us, our behavior and our activities in post after post.
They should. Because there is not a single person posting here that could file a complaint against me that would not receive a counter complaint against them filed by The Cmdr! What were those Sections again? Oh yes. Has everyone made a note of that? Keep it handy.
That is why a certain Senior Member has STFU about that stuff and started to once again make a legal argument from a lay understanding of the law and has also stopped the ad hominem attacks that put him in the same legal jeopardy he claims I am in.

Posts: 7969Only the Act's plain language definition of Prostitution is not legal in Thailand
At most, the owners of ThaiFriendly are at risk of getting busted for a crime based on Section 7 of that Thai document, not you or the lady based on any conversation you have on that site.

Otherwise, if the owners and management of TF forbid its subscribers from even discussing sex for money in person-to-person conversations about it on their site and bans anyone who does it, that's a personal business decision made by the proprietors of TF and nothing to do with Section 7 of that Act or what is specifically defined as illegal Prostitution in the Thai Code or Act, the only version of Prostitution between consenting adults deemed to be illegal under Thai law.

Not some Miriam Webster definition of it, not some revered old world legal textbook definition of it, not India's legal definition of it, not America's definition of it nor any rogue Thai police officer's personal definition of it. Only the clearly and in plain language definition of it found stated clearly and in plain language in the Thai Penal Code and the Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act of 1996 is illegal in Thailand.
The same goes for solicitation of Prostitution in Thailand. One or both of those Thai legal documents clearly and in plain language define the version of solicitation for Prostitution they deem to be illegal to be when it is done "openly and shamelessly in a public place causing a nuisance to the public" and no other version of it as defined by anyone else anywhere at anytime for any reason.
Both of those specifically and clearly in plain language defined and qualified illegal manners and methods of proposing the exchange of sex for money between consenting adults and fulfilling an agreement to do it in Thailand are exceedingly easy to avoid and almost never even occurs to a Thai sex worker and / or a potential customer to engage in the behavior that way. Otherwise, Thai law has no opinion or interest in what consenting adults agree to do and then do of a sexual nature for money or not, even if the personal conversation they had about it happens in a crowded gogo bar, a beer bar, a massage shop, the lobby of a hotel or on the corner of Sukhumvit and Asoke in Bangkok.

Is there a rational reason why you misquoted me. I said "Threads like this and many others show why many mongers are best avoided. Paid pussies are magnets for nutters. "I said "many mongers", not "mongers" are best avoided. Are you just stupid or are you really Sub Commander's sub? Take your syphilis meds.
