If you're looking for freelancers in Bangkok, Thermae is probably your best bet. It's one of the few places that is genuinely a freelancer bar, where virtually every girl is there looking for customers.

Outside of Thermae, you'll find freelancers in plenty of bars along Soi 11, but they're generally mixed in with regular girls who are simply out drinking and having fun with their friends.

Most of Lower Sukhumvit consists of nightclubs, beer bars, go-go bars, and similar establishments. If you visit any of the Hillary bars on Soi 4 or Soi 11, you'll find plenty of freelancers, although you'll also come across regular girls who aren't working.

Another option is Climax, which has been around in various incarnations for years. It's located in the basement of the Ambassador Hotel on Soi 11. The place is packed with freelancers, and I'd estimate that around 70% of the girls there are working.

You can also try ThaiFriendly, which is an app you can download on your phone. Based on my experience, I'd estimate that around 60% of the women on there in Bangkok are freelancers, compared with perhaps 90% in Pattaya. Regarding your question about WeChat, the app has a "People Nearby" feature that allows you to find other users within a certain radius, provided they've enabled the feature in their privacy settings. You'll come across plenty of freelancers, including ladyboys, as well as women from Vietnam and Myanmar. You simply send a message request, and if they accept, you can start chatting.

One thing to be careful about with WeChat is that not everyone using People Nearby is looking for customers. If you approach a regular girl with a solicitation, she can report your account, which could eventually result in a suspension or permanent ban.

Tinder is another possibility, although you'll generally find more regular girls looking to date rather than freelancers. Again, be careful about soliciting sex, as it's an easy way to get your account reported or banned.

Of course, you'll also find street freelancers around Lower Sukhumvit, but they're very hit-and-miss. Personally, I've never gone that route and wouldn't recommend it.

My recommendation: If you specifically want freelancers rather than spending the night trying to figure out who's working and who isn't, start with Thermae. If you prefer a nightclub atmosphere, try Climax or the bars along Soi 11. For online options, ThaiFriendly and WeChat are worth exploring, but you need to understand that not everyone on those platforms is a freelancer.

It can with a minority of girl the first time they meet you. Just word it carefully be honest but emphasis that its all Holiday lets, Airbnb's. If a girl isn't comfortable with it just move on to the next on your list!

Yes, you can message these girls. Some girls will have "freelance" or "for work" in their descriptions. Same as TF, you need to be discreet. If you act like an overt sex pest, you will be reported and banned. WeChat has become more strict over the past few years, so you can't just spam every girl with "How much for sex?" messages. One important point. Always move the conversation over to LINE or WhatsApp. Just like TF, don't do your sex talk on WeChat app. If you do and you are somehow reported, your chat will be shared in the report and you will get banned.

TBH, I rarely use WeChat. In the past I could pretty easily find cute amateur freelance talent nearby, but now I experience that most of the girls are wannabe escorts, hardened pros or (worse) ladyboys. And other than gender, there is no filter for age, weight, height, etc that you find in Thai Friendly, so much harder to sift through the talent. I am very familiar with BKK. I used to just concentrate in Soi11 - plenty of bars and night clubs there. Bier Garten 7/1 used to be day time happening place a while ago it died- not sure of its current status.

Unfortunately true. My last visit was pre-COVID, and I am hell-bent on fixing that. If Cowboy has fallen that far, it would be sad. If Nana is that much better, all the better. My concern there would be if that mass of Cowboy traffic was all converging at Nana with the rest of the Nana crowd. Of course, the post-COVID traffic patterns, etc.

Bmore. I do think your information is a little dated. Cowboy was indeed my first love back in 2018 or something but Nana has been in the rise and Cowboy on the fall. I became a Nana fan but tried cowboy again last year on a friends recommendation but was disappointed. I think most guys would agree that these days Nana is simply superior.

That's not to say you shouldn't try both and some minority will prefer cowboy. My advice would be if you are a newbie with limited time go to Nana and hit Billboard, Butterflies, Geisha, Red Dragon. If you have some time to explore do Cowboy FIRST because you will likely enjoy it. But then do Nana and you will prob remain there.
