So you do get calls on AIS. I see what you mean now, you wanted calls and text as part of the package. Instead what you have to do is get extra calls by purchasing an addon.

The reason for that is the way some countries use their mobile networks, it's mainly for data. Voice calls on the network cost a lot so everyone uses apps for calling and texting such as Line, wechat and whatsapp. Therefore you don't need much more than a data plan.

Why don't you just get an esim that has text and calls? I've had my AIS esim for two years now and it has that. Having a real Thai number is useful. Mine was purchased and registered abroad with a 30 day plan, I add credit to keep the number alive.

This is 100% true I have read articles about others participating in those events (I never had). You don't stay long enough to get with a girl. But you can learn where all the places are if you want and make contacts to return.

You can hit a lot of clubs in walking. You can hit a lot of clubs bouncing with Bolt in Jomtien / Pratumnak on your own.
