1. Which place is better, for Saturday, in terms of number of girls and quality? I prefer a model look.Numbers: Oase 70- 90. Palace 30- 60.
Optic quality: I always thought Oase had the edge. Palace lovers will disagree. The truth is probably somewhere in between and will vary through the seasons. You rarely go wrong in either of these places, though summertime will probably favour Oase even more.

Of course some of us (including myself) because of our own ethnic backgrounds can have a lot of sympathy for other underdogs. One must be careful of this in order to develop a fair and accurate perspective. Hard to deny that the Gypsey population, in countries such as Romania, have not had a very hard time of it. Harder than the rest of the local population.

I was there yesterday afternoon and found what you agreed to be basically (albeit regrettably & lamentably) true. The girls are more aggressive in their approach and not good about taking "no" for an answer. There weren't tons of girls or guys there either, so the opportunity cost of socializing wasn't even that high. What was worse for me personally was that my 2 favorites (Gabriela & Michelle) were gone, the latter apparently having not made an appearance at Oase for months.
I wouldn't sound the death knell for Oase, though. I found Anita from Hungary & spent 2 terrific hours with her. More detailed reports to come in due course.

Spanish cucumbers where blamed at first, but now they are not sure. At the moment large amounts of veggies are being avoided due to the scare. Bad timing for the German farmer.
I eat tons of veggies (both raw and cooked) and have yet to develop any Symptoms of hemorrhagic fever.
FKK barbecues should be pretty safe.

BBQ is not a problem, meat is not the rootcause. Cucumber from Spain was suspected first, but that was a false alarm.
I was in NRW last weekend, I also drove my car and smoke some cigarettes. Life is about taking and accepting some risks.

It's not my place to come to HB's defense. He's a big boy and can take care of himself and needs no help from me.
B Gee, I want you to look at my reply as helpful advice and a favor from me, if you can.
No one on this board has better insights as to the Hessen scene than HB. Not sure how often you get to the clubs but HB and a good many of his contacts get to the clubs more times in a month than most people here do over a one or two year period. You may certainly disagree with his assessments, but if I were you, I give his observations some attention and consideration.
Also, as one who is as snippy and snarky as a dude can be (I'm referring to myself BTW) HB is rather simple and direct with his comments. Just because you see things differently doesn't mean that his comments are snippy.
Personally I find the service at Oase pretty ok at the moment. The men's changing room could be more hygienic but it's better than it was a few years ago. I get my drinks at the bar with a smile and even the grouchy lady with glass who sometimes works the entrance gives me a grin now and then. Plus it is the best line-up in Germany that I know of right now.
Not sure why you suddenly went off on HB, but I've also been visiting Oase for some time now (since 98 or so) and there are very few Gents whose club opinions and observations I value more that HB's.
Again, just some friendly advice and my two cents.

Names are posted but I do not know how to identify them, there are so many of them. On another note about the train ride back to Frankfurt, it was fairly safe. There were 3-4 people waiting for that first train at 5:08am on Sunday morning. One was a middle-age lady with luggage. I think it's a trade-off between a 50 euro and taking the hassle to discuss an intimate situation with a thekefrau and bouncers. Oase's front desk deals with these pretty much every day, saw one on my last trip where a short mid 50's gentleman of eastern influence was brought to the front desk by the girl. Out comes the huge bouncer and that little guy never game him notice, never once looked up at the guy. Even when the bouncer was talking to the guy, he never once acknowledged him. The bouncers size might have had some effect on someone a bit taller and younger than that short gentleman having the argument at the time. Everything ended nice and civil and the bouncer was never really needed in that situation. Had he laid hands on the guy, I'm sure the cops would have been called.
A tip for those new to the hobby: don't let the girl see how much cash you have in your wallet. I have a possible window to visit at the end of August ie fri / sat 26/27 or the following tue / wed. I always make a stopover in Frankfurt to visit Oase during my trips to Europe but this time I was very disappointed with the attitude and service of the providers. I once thought that this forum was supposed to be about girls and fun and having a good time, but it now seems, that for some, this forum has also become as much about settling old scores, for affronts that are both real but also probably imagined, as much as anything else.
Of course no one (including myself) is blameless in this matter. But the upshot of this saga is that all involved have been damaged, their credibility dented, this forum spoiled for many and now I suppose that Basketcase has decided that posting on ISG is not worth the hassle. Of course no one, not even Basketcase is irreplaceable. Life and ISG goes on! Saying that I will miss Basketcase's brilliant posts.
However ISG members deciding to leave (or perhaps pushed out) creates a negative tone which permeates and seeps into the very pours of this forum and makes it a less enjoyable place to be for all. Who will be next to be pushed so to speak. Many Senior Members no longer report in this forum because of the negative tone or for fear of being attacked / mocked.
If I were brave perhaps I might start a new thread (we all have this power now) seeking the return of Basketcase but it seems a step too far and a step that is unlikely to be successful in its intention, for I fear that Basketcase has now gone for good and is determined not to return. There is too much fun to be had in FKK Land and who would want the hassle that Basketcase has received on ISG. However, I do hope that those interested in making this forum a better place might speak up if they find themselves in agreement with what I write. Best session was with a petit blond girl. I can't remember even name or origin (I must be better on this) , but we did MPOS in the Kino. I liked the outdoor area, to bad the weather was to bad to session outside in the evening. Overall a new good experiance, even if I must say that The Palace its so much better in the looks of girls, food and facilities. Without the outdoor area I would never think of coming back. Now I'm looking forward to Artemis that is little like a favorite FKK. Ill be there in a couple of days.

Club was empty. Worst day was Monday. Totally boring. Hopefully, sun was shining and spend good time at the swimming pool.

Mondays are pretty crappy, agreed. The mix was a little bit better on Sunday even if the Romanias were clearly outnumbering other nationalities.

Hi,
I'm planning on taking my friend to an FKK tomorrow as we have a night in Frankfurt and we have been traveling together for 2 weeks. This is actually more of a surprise than anything. I have been to OASE twice and had good times but I always left on the train around midnight or one. At the start of my trip this time, I went to Palace and stayed until closing 4am and then waited about 20 minutes to catch the local train back to the airport.
Do people feel OASE is conducive for staying all night at? I don't remember many places to just rest except outside. But looking at the weather it might rain tomorrow. Also, I never really recall people hanging out outside when its dark out.
I love the day pool environment at OASE but am fearful that if my friend is tired of the FKK scene there will be nowhere during the evening to just chill out. At Palace, in the back I recall people just sleeping away from all the action.

Unfortunately there has been a low level and subtle battle of words (not obvious to most members) fought on this forum over the past 18 months or so between Senior ISG Members Who at one time were on amicable terms.
I once thought that this forum was supposed to be about girls and fun and having a good time, but it now seems, that for some, this forum has also become as much about settling old scores, for affronts that are both real but also probably imagined, as much as anything else.

However ISG members deciding to leave (or perhaps pushed out) creates a negative tone which permeates and seeps into the very pours of this forum and makes it a less enjoyable place to be for all. Who will be next to be pushed so to speak. Many Senior Members no longer report in this forum because of the negative tone or for fear of being attacked / mocked.
If I may play devil's advocate, isn't that what ignore lists are for?Sometimes there are too many individuals involved in the sewing circle, and it just becomes not worth the bother of reporting. I guess one wonders that if life around here becomes too difficult for a Senior Member of Baskercase's calibre, what hope have the rest of us got!

Of course, schedules, budgets, and other issues prevent this from becoming a reality.Another interesting concept! Being the Big Cheese on ISG Germany FKK was never what BC was about. However, this board and its members are at a loss and the sewing circle will just have to find another victim to stick their knitting needles into! :p

But you made a typo, you should have written "there was" a low level and a subtle battle of words."Was" as in past tense. The board seems the same to me as it did 5 years ago, a mix of banter and the occasional ass licking post. You might not get as many long and drawn out reports but they are still informative. One man does not make a board, even if he posts 30 posts per day. FYI, just reached my 1, 000 post milestone and it only took me 5 and a half years at a whopping half a post per day. I see a new thread for Mainhattan and Sharks, reports on the new dual entry combination card and reports coming in every day from a variety of posters. The board is moving on, the void gets filled eventually. How it works here is you give out information to help people out, answer questions, ask questions (nobody knows everything in this forum). We are here because we like to read about the clubs, about the girls and sometimes about the exploits.
Your more than welcome to join in, answer questions and / or ask them. Provide some insight. Join in so to speak. Or you can keep posting in your section (the links of distinction) and try to drum up support for the return of someone who self banished himself. Any other board, any other moderator finding out a poster registered one or more other handles, that guy would get the boot. Your asking the board to drum up support to get a shill to come back, I say a shill should ask the board if its ok if he returns. I know, 'shill' is a harsh word but that's what I call someone who registers duplicate handles. Do I have 'proof' that 'shilling' was done? Nothing straightforward but alot of backchannel info hints that it was done and the silence ie. no response to the accusations add's further proof.

I had an interesting chat with Claudia tonight about the new batch of Romanians and the big muscle dudes with tattoo's in the club tonight. She said these were Pimps from Romania. I said, how does that work? Here's the story I got. These dudes meet nice young things on the streets of Romania, give them the old,"hey babe, I can help you" story that leads them to the FKK's of Germany. They get them there and back when their tour is over as well as drop in from time to time to check up on them. Must be that they are getting a cut from their take each day to cover their "costs" of operation. Interesting! That might explain the big, new batch of Romanian meet there this week.
I came in early evening on Thursday and had to go outside to check the door to make sure I was in the right place. I counted 5 or 6 ladies I recognized from earlier visits and perhaps 20 new girls.

Appreciate the adviceHaving done this myself I can tell you two things. 1) It is quite possible to do. 2) It is not particularly restful in any way shape or form.
The next day I was completely wasted and had to cancel all my plans. So I guess it depends what you have planned for the day after your Oase overnight.

Appreciate the adviceThere are worse clubs to close I guess. I've closed Oase on a number of weekends. The whirlpool area isn't too bad for napping and the sauna hut works well also. When the weather is nice and the outdoor bugs are not such a nuisance then the hammocks are pretty good for resting.
Personally, I find World and even Palace (back in the day) better and more comfy clubs to close.

While I certainly respect and admire your efforts to support and defend a friend, I can't help thinking that the martyrdom thing is both overblown and frankly a little tired at this point. Easy target that your friend is, I don't see that people are "constantly taking shots" at him. In fact, the ratio of BC shot-taking compared to other info and idea exchanges over the past few days certainly favors the latter.
The man's gone and that's his choice. It's not Breadman's, Beffen's or my fault that he is thin-skinned. In person, most people I know, including myself have always gone out of our way to be courteous to him, despite some RATHER odd reactions.
I mentioned to you before, in private and in public why some of these perceptions and attitude have come about and how they might best be dealt with. Breadman is absolutely correct in saying that we move on at this point. No one ran the guy off. We all make our own decisions. It was his choice to take himself and this hobby so seriously and to pack up his toys and go home after a bit of razzing. I promise you that a number of us have taken much worse in stride and in the playful nature that it was meant.
I can't promise you that he will be left alone from now on. What I can promise you is that I personally don't obsess over him or anyone else, and it is far from a difficult task for me to leave him or any of his crew members alone to play with their toys in private.

Dedalus... of course all right or wrong is not all on one side. But one has to wonder why Basketcase was not allowed to post in peace here, for the enjoyment of all ISG Members who avidly read his excellent reports. There has been a campaign against Basketcase which has ran for many many months (probably close to two years) by a group of ISG members. A more overt attack is exemplified by Breadman's recent post below. As far as thin skinned is concerned, I would say that Basketcase has never once complained about anything that has been done or said and has just simply decided to leave the board. I would suggest that the thin skinned people are those who have waged this campaign for months!

This discussion about BC and who likes him and who doesn't and why he stopped posting, etc, is all quite fascinating I'm sure, but:
I hate to break this to you all, but I believe from certain "inside information" that in fact BC's decision to stop posting had a lot more to do with factors and events OUTSIDE THIS BOARD than it did with anything that happened here. Yes, the dear boy had a tendency to take any kind of negative comments a bit too seriously, but the fact that he's no longer a contributer here is quite strongly linked to external factors. So sorry to burst your theory that it all has to do with a few fringe nuts not like his lists.
I hope this will help us all move on a bit from this recent fixation here and get back to focusing on Oase and its girls. Hey, one good way to honour the great BC and his legacy would be to try to start putting together some reports with line-up lists. I know it would be a mammouth task to come close to the extensiveness of the List-Meister's own lists, but we can try, yes?
I think the last words on BC should be:
He came in here a few years ago as a true Newbie, but quickly moved through the ranks as a true experienced monger, who always showed great enthusiasm for this hobby, always was polite to excess with other posters, even those who disagreed with him. He was humble in that he never took himself too seriously (note to self: try to emulate this) , and would always devote a lot of time to answering anybody's questions, even if his responses were sometimes a bit too detailed. The guy just liked to speak or write, and his impact on this board was emphatically positive. His legacy lives on. It's a great shame that he decided to move on, but that shame is for us, not for him.
Lastly, he may well come back again, if he wants. In the meantime, go to Oase on weekends and you'll have a good chance to bump into him again.
So let's all show him the respect he deserves, just like all of us who try our best to make a positive contribution here, by getting back on track and posting lots of detailed reports about Oase on other clubs.
