Picked up my DC chica and drove to Juan Dolio. I was going to check into the Barcelo Capella resort. Unfortunately as I feared the place is out of business -- the last couple of times I went it's been steadily going downhill. Hopefully another hotel chain bought it and can turn it around. It's nice to have an AI option near SD. Found a small hotel nearby, called Paraiso Caribe. It's right on the beach and a basic room for only $28/ night. I like this part of Juan Dolio beach. Very nice. Average romp with the DC chica.
Checked out the next day, and was due to fly out of SDQ a few days later -- in the interim I went to Sosua and also met with a girl in Santiago.
The evening before leaving the DR, I circled back to SD. Tried to get some action with a badoo girl and since I was coming down south on the west side, not too far to swing by her hood in Manoguayabo. This is supposedly a slum part of SD and they must not have any tourists going there. The cashier girl at Ole (supermarket) actually was curious to find out where I'm from. Anyhow, the badoo girl flaked out although I was talking and confirming with her to the final minutes.
What to do? Ahh, I have a back up, I think. A few days earlier I've gotten the phone number from an Alicia Keys-lookalike who works at the Claro store. Contacted her, picked her up from work and went to dinner. Unfortunately nothing further afterwards as she has to go home to her 11 month-old baby. I tried to help her with "babysitting money" but she politely declined. Or perhaps she's just one of those no-sex-until-the-second-date girls. Damn I so wished I could've banged Alicia Llaves.

Hopefully another hotel chain bought it and can .Yesterday I read that the hotel was sold for apartment development. The last time I went there a block of beachfront rooms were already sold and fenced away. Years before Colonia Tropical, a block of very large and nice apartments that were part of the complex was also sold. I read also that Talanquera, which was in bad condition was also sold to Hodelpa.
Some of them are in fact Colombian, others are Venezuelan, and yes, there are Dominican cheerleaders also. They all look good.
All of the cheerleaders are Colombian by the way.

SD chicas don't want a weekend warrior they want something regular which takes time and money, most guys don't get this. You have to visit SD regularly also. The guys that don't have time and money usually end up at GBP or one of the Casas. Sure you can probably get a semi pro regularly but the logistics (baby sitter, family rules, curfew etc) come into play. I call them " projects "because you have to put in time and money for a future return on your investment, but you have to diversify your portfolio LOL.

Exactly the same applies to Pto Pta and, no doubt, every other Dominican town (except maybe Sosua). You will find very few ex-pats still banging full-time putas frequently. That shit gets old after your first year here. My portfolio comprised eight to twelve semi-pro projects all at different levels of maturation from "just met yesterday" to "time to pass her off onto a newbie visitor".

You can see NFL games in any hotel room with cable TV. Depending on the cable package, you may only have access to the Spanish language edition. Paco's will also show the game if you ask but you won't be able to hear anything, whatever language edition they show. Many of the other cafes will be showing soccer or winter league baseball. There is a lot of advice on this forum about other things to do if you lose interest in watching TV.

Best bet just to make sure things haven't changed, stop in on Saturday night and ask the Sportsbook Manager if he will be showing the game and / or request it be on.
Put a few bucks on the game at the sportsbook to give him incentive to put it on the Big TV, with sound.

I have been coming to DR for about a year now and had multiple trips. I have landed at each airport on the island to savor the local experience. On first trip I met a chica in Sousa who was my go to when I arrived. Drama free, sweet, and trust worthy. Or so I thought. I saw other chicas when there, so I was not exclusive nor was I a Western Union guy.
Fast forward to labor day weekend, visiting with her at my rented apartment near SDQ, she slipped me something and pilfered things (phones, iPad, wallet, etc). I am posting this warning to any who might come in contact with her. She goes by Liz and Gabbi. From the picture of her ID I took. She is from Higuey. I am attaching pictures. A police report is filed. I even had her mother's phone number, which is being used to locate her. I do not care about the items it is more about the message being sent. Mother said she is running scared (who knows the truth) and she might be in Sousa. If you come across her, send me a PM with that location. I have some people on the ground there that are trying to find her. If you are uncomfortable with that, just know to protect yourself.

The places on ave pastuer are mostly there. GBP is still there. The malecon is still littered with street walkers. I can't vouch for the places in the center of the city anymore.
Get a trusted taxi and take a look, at worse you loose $10 in taxi fair. Those types of places usually run from like 6 pm-sunlight I try to take pics of the locations / cross streets / avenues / etc from google maps to show and help the taxi what streets we are looking for. I don't recommend of taking a pic of the monger map and showing to anyone.

I'm staying at the Hilton my first night in SD, so I wanted to find a nice short term hotel close by, because I don't think the Hilton will be flexible with chicas. Any advice on the best cabanas?

100% guaranteed no NFL games will be broadcast on Dominican TV channels. The US networks are on the cable packages at most hotels. If the game you want to see is broadcast nationally in the US, you will be able to see it on one of the US networks that are on most every Dominican cable package. The ESPN Latin America feed shows Monday night games and Sunday games but the Sunday games are usually national. You can probably find a stream on the internet. Consider checking the scores after the fact and doing things you can do at home during the game time.
I doubt that game will be on Local Cable. Generally you will get Miami local stations or a national Spanish Fox or Espn Deportes game. It will just be dumb luck if that game is going to be on local SD cable.

She had been with you at least once before without problem. You didn't make the mistake of passing out drunk or falling asleep after sex. This chica actually drugged you, and like you say, did it very quickly upon her arrival.
Your episode is a good reminder of how some of these girls will actually lurk for several "dates" before striking.
It's good that you reported her IMO. Even if she is not apprehended, your report will be attached to her ID#. Should anyone else accuse her of wrongdoing down the line.

.The following is not a fact, is a generalization based on observation. This girl shown in Throw Even pictures and all other girls shown here as thieves or problematics is the past years have a psycho look. They look like the hard core girls of Sosua (or from anywhere) with a psychotic twist. I usually avoid girls with that look when I surf sites like Badoo and others.
It appears Jaragua is guest friendly. During a recent visit I spent quite a bit of time at the Casino. I inquired couple of times at the front desk / check in and both times they told me the guest just has to show an ID and sign in. Second time I was specific about bringing in chicas and the answer was the same. The hotel itself looked nice and worth it although it could be a bit pricey. After reading reports its not guest friendly I booked and stayed at the Riazor which is right behind Jaragua. Riazor was the only decent place on Independencia. I walked over to the other places before checking in, Casona Dorado and Duke Wellington, they are just not well kept. You can always negotiate at these places, esp. If you are staying multiple days. I knocked off 25 $ of my 4 day stay paying cash. You can also pay by the day.
Coming to chicas, some great reporting here as usual. I hit the regular spots, taxi did have trouble finding GBP but we got there eventually. Lot of fat ones as reported but couple of sweet things that I would go back for and the price is very good (and service too, great bbbjs). The casas on Pastuer and Malecon are chugging along. I went to Foxys on a Fri night and picked a girl and she told me I was the only one all day to do a takeout from there. They wanted cien, I paid 4 k for 2 times, before which I got some hot lap dancing in the back area for one drink. 3 to 4 good ones there among batch of 10+. Skybar and 305 on Pasteur, I hit around 8 pm, they were just getting started. I got one for 3 K (2 times) at that early hour, she was still in street clothes outside and had just arrived for work.
Hardly any street action these days. I took a few walks on Malecon and all I had seen is a couple and they don't stay out too long, this is a killer for me. There are options in SD but getting to places can be a hassle, with the crazy traffic during busy hours, pick your times wisely. You can find few girls on Jaragua Casino on the weekends, but I wouldn't count on it, the hot ones at the bar area always seem to be taken (maybe they are not p4 p, who knows). An other note, if you are staying at Riazor, learn the right pronunciation in Dominican, something like rhee-a-zol. My taxi guy almost took me to Radisson blu at first, hehe. Riazor is pretty good except for the road noise if you stay in one of the bigger rooms facing Independencia. Nice and spacious rooms, clean, late checkouts, nothing else to complain about.

Can someone give a newbie 32 yr old some pointers on where to find some ruts or locals who would go for a younger foreigner with help, where to stay, best place for SWs, any other worthwhile tips, etc? I will report back on my trip and experiences!

Thanks in advance!I'll give the advice that was given to me. Don't go to Santo Domingo, unless you have some other reason to go there. The only advantage SD has for mongering is the casas, if that's your thing. Other than that, you're more likely to be scammed than anything.
If you're just going for mongering, go to Sosua. From your hotel, you can walk just about anywhere you want to go, in about 10 minutes. The hotels are very reasonable, women are easy to find day or night, and there's a beach.
If you insist on Santo Domingo, here's some basic info:

I think the advice about negotiating prices up front is good. It's also the only advice other than "read the forum". That is also good advice. My point is the same advice applies to Sosua and anywhere else in the Dominican Republic. It's true everything in Sosua is within walking distance of everything else in Sosua. If you are there for a handful of days or for the first time, that is a convenience. If you are there for more than a few days or maybe it's not your first rodeo, in my opinion it is a crashing bore rather than a convenience. I rarely see this mentioned in posts about Sosua: many restaurants have two menus, one for full time residents (e. G. People who know the owner) and the other for tourists. I wonder if it's not mentioned by people who are there all the time because they don't know it or because they are in on the joke.
I'll give the advice that was given to me. Don't go to Santo Domingo, unless you have some other reason to go there. The only advantage SD has for mongering is the casas, if that's your thing. Other than that, you're more likely to be scammed than anything.
If you're just going for mongering, go to Sosua. From your hotel, you can walk just about anywhere you want to go, in about 10 minutes. The hotels are very reasonable, women are easy to find day or night, and there's a beach.
If you insist on Santo Domingo, here's some basic info:

It appears Jaragua is guest friendly. During a recent visit I spent quite a bit of time at the Casino. I inquired couple of times at the front desk / check in and both times they told me the guest just has to show an ID and sign in. Second time I was specific about bringing in chicas and the answer was the same. The hotel itself looked nice and worth it although it could be a bit pricey. After reading reports its not guest friendly I booked and stayed at the Riazor which is right behind Jaragua. Riazor was the only decent place on Independencia. I walked over to the other places before checking in, Casona Dorado and Duke Wellington, they are just not well kept. You can always negotiate at these places, esp. If you are staying multiple days. I knocked off 25 $ of my 4 day stay paying cash. You can also pay by the day.
Coming to chicas, some great reporting here as usual. I hit the regular spots, taxi did have trouble finding GBP but we got there eventually. Lot of fat ones as reported but couple of sweet things that I would go back for and the price is very good (and service too, great bbbjs). The casas on Pastuer and Malecon are chugging along. I went to Foxys on a Fri night and picked a girl and she told me I was the only one all day to do a takeout from there. They wanted cien, I paid 4 k for 2 times, before which I got some hot lap dancing in the back area for one drink. 3 to 4 good ones there among batch of 10+. It has a porch, you can sit there during the day and talk to the off duty casa girls as they pass by going to the little store or wherever. The only problem is the touts there are aggressive and annoying. If I went back I would stay at the riazor or somewhere close. There's another little hotel on the next block, the San Francisco or something. Then you can walk down to the mystik, if you buy beers there you can still hang on the porch. I am in hotel Palacio since yesterday, very nice hotel. I paid for the basic small room they gave me a large one with two beds. I suppose one is for sex and the other to sleep. Everything was brand new. The price is $40 a night. The location is 100 yards from Grands / Pacos. About the owner of the massage haircut manicure pedicure and other cure's place he was the one that tried to charge $160 dollars for these services. I followed Oldkool advice as you did and we agreed on the initial offer which was about $30. He currently owns the place that is 2 spaces west of Pollo Rey. They were remodeling the ground floor restaurant at the time. Room was very comfortable, with only 2 complaints. First, the interior shape of the hallways means that the slightest noise is amplified. You can clearly hear conversations in the entry area from your room. It was rather annoying at 4 am.
The other issue is the hot water. They use a solar water heater, which is great in the afternoon, but before about 11 am, the best you can hope for is lukewarm.

So it's been a while since I've been on the board, though I have been to DR 3 times this year alone. San Francisco de Asis is great value for money, and the housekeeping women there are super honest. But I tried the BQ hotel and occidental embajador, and those are super. I would suggest staying at BQ I believe rooms are 70-80 ish but pick a room on the right side as you enter and not the left, as those rooms are much newer though you won't have a kitchen. Occidental is even nicer but a lot more expensive and not worth it if you're there for a long time.
Anyway I was last in SD a month ago just for a week, I went to GDP but price increased from 1000 to 1200 or 1300 something like that. Didn't session, just had a drink.

Indeed I go to Sosua for food and the beach and have spent most of my time in the DR, in Santiago. Now I am not an expert on economic history, sociology or ethnology for that matter, of women in Santiago but I do not go to any casa or car wash in Santiago either, never been. I have met women there of all colors and IQ, including PUCMM students and have had my share of failure. My comment on Dcups's post was simply this: he may know women in Santiago already, that he met on his last trip, who might be willing to visit him in SD. I cannot take a big city like SD but, I have had success (and failure) inviting women from all over. You are right, if it is a first timer, the longer the distance, the more chances of a miss, but people you are already familiar with, should be a hit.

They will pick you up at the airport. Probably about $150 US to get to La Romana, but fast and comfortable. I used them to get to San Pedro, and from the time I cleared customs until I was at my hotel was 45 minutes. Big, newer van with good a / see and wifi. Very clean and driver was very polite.
Thanks for the info Jjbee. I ended up going with the company Dominican Airport Transfers. I got round trip form the airport for two people for 75 US, and round trip from Santo Domingo to La Romana for 229. I know it's not as cheap as using the bus, taxi or even renting a car, but I like having the ease of someone else driving and the convenience of going right from the airport to he hotel.

There are also many white skinned women who live in such barrios and these are typically available if you know how to schmooze, so color does not mean a thing.

In SDQ there are less car washes and more "piano bars". Same concept but many times more upscale. You see business men come in a group and order a bottle of johnny blue and have 4 waitresses attending them. After hours is up to the girl but many are available. However many get 500-1000 peso tips from these dudes so only go out with customers if they like them. Some of my faves have closed down. I spent many a night at Jotas, Puro Cafe, Baba Lu, Hot Cafe, Jey Jey, Franklins, XX OO, and Mameyes. Of those, all are closed except Franklin which has changed names and is somewhat upscale.
Mambo Bar on churchill is low end but has gems once in a while. I had gone out with a handful. Rumba Bar on 27 is more upscale and has live music most nights. There is one hidden off of independencia that is cool. No idea the name, opens late afternoon. Maybe 20 chicas. Live music some nights. Not sure of street but a side street near gas station. If I happen to drive by will make note of the street name. May be on calle Esperanza looking at google maps. If google had street view it would be easier. It is nearby what used to be pal alba if that helps.
Car wash Pirot is still around, but last time I went the chicas all are chatting and on FB and ignoring the high rollers that just dropped 100 bucks on drinks. I think that is why most are now closed. Many of these guys are married and they go for the flirting and attention, The girls are not paying attention so they stop going. Car Wash Pirot is near plaza caribe which is a low end joint in front of a park. I think Pirot is on Tunti de careers or Juan Pablo Pina. They have hotties from time to time.
For a more typical Santiago like car wash there are some smaller ones on Venezuela and a larger one on San Isidro before you get to Charles de gaulle on left hand side before where eagles used to be.
There are also some as you leave the capital on your way to STI but rougher neighborhoods.
They all advertise in the newspaper (Listin Diario classified "servicios varios" The don't list their addresses but they will give you all the particulars when you call. Expect to pay 1500 to 2000, add 500 if you arrive by taxi.

Hi guys, I got a cheap ticket / hotel package on expedia and went back to Santo Domingo in the Zona Colonial. Mostly because of this Dominican Cupid chica I met there last June. If you saw her you'd understand: 42 DeeDee-26-36, five foot seven, 27 yo, no kids, beautiful face and bright white smile, psychology student, also works part-time in a clothing store. She looks like a sexy librarian with her glasses on but when she takes them off she transforms into a super horny sex kitten. Ten different chicas (7 from DC) in all in 8 days. I also went to see NFL at Hilton Casino and lost $50 on the Packers but it was still fun to watch on the jumbotron. I just came back from another trip to SDQ. I had my breakfasts and some lunches at new japanese / sushi / venezuela fusion spot called Ki Sushi. It is in plaza capri at av alma matta and av independicia. It as been open for a month but so far they are doing a good job. I never spent more than 500 dop there including when I had dates. At the same plaza there is a chinese and italian cafes.

Went to Merengue bar yesterday. Before the show, I counted more bartenders then actual visitors. I ordered a drink (and was surprised that the bartenders are practicing not returning change, also overall service at the bar was very mediocre). Once the live show started (at 11 pm) the place quickly filled up with people. It was refreshing to finally be among well dressed people in a decent, clean and secure place after 3 days in DR. I guess you know what I mean. As of the ladies. I saw not too many available for the entire night. Overall, maybe 5 or so. I spotted one I liked the most and after an hour or so, I asked the bartender (who seems the only one who understand English) to pass a good drink to the lady of my choice. Once she got a drink, she smiled at me and I waved her back with cheers inviting to come next to me. She did not hesitate to join. She knows barely a few words in English and I know the same in Spanish. Nevertheless, we quickly started touching each other and went to dance Salsa. (To say accurately, she was dancing Salsa and I was desperately trying to imitated what other males were doing. Still, my moves were jerky and I feel too grino-ish.) The rest was quite straightforward. She asked me $100 which was quite steep but considering nice place, etc. I agreed. It turned out that she knew everyone there. From bartenders to taxi drivers. We get taxi to my Hotel SF de Asis and had a pretty good sex. The couple problems though: she asked a few more tips here and there. Most of the time I rejected but still ended up paying maybe $20 more. And of course, as the case with most women, once they undress, their bodies reveal a lot of imperfections. She looked 7-8 in the bar but only 5-6 in the bed. Well, this is the game we play on both sides of the trade so I view it as my learning experience. I am staying two more days in SD before going back to the "sex prison".

Today I walked Calle El Conde back and forth before and after dark. Nothing special except for ugly "massage" girls. Zona Colonial overall is a nice place to live, walk and eat but no much visible mongering action (at least what I observed after 3 hours of walking). I saw some cute young ladies with twice older gentlemen so I guess this part of the city is perfect for longer term relations. Then I checked a few "casas" on Av. Pasteur and one on Malecon. Oasis. Oasis girls were the best and there were like 12 of them lined up just for me. I haven't noticed any other clients. There are 3 bridges that go between SD and SD Este, in order from north to south: San Vicente, Las Americas, and Av Mexico / 25 de Febrero. (Actually one more southernmost, smallest one called Puente Flotante. Going from SD Este to SD, you would see the stone-walled fort as soon as you cross.)
Av Venezuela intersects San Vicente; Av Espana intersects Av Mexico.
It's doubtful your taxi would go from MegaCentro on San Vicente, down south to Av Meixco, to cross the river.
There are a few large open-air type sports bar on Av Espana, but that's the lively scene on the waterfront. That doesn't jive with your description of a "side street". I've driven past there several times.
Av Venezuela is famous for having many bars and clubs. I had every intention to go my last trip but never did. Someone has written about popping bottles and pulling non-pros there. You should do the same.

You are correct. All comments here are "unsolicited", this is what the forum is about. Frankly, I was just slightly irritated by your comments treating me as a "newbie" monger presumably based on my low posting count on this forum (which actually does not reflect my true experience). Other then that, I do not see any serious disagreements on the subject, so we are cool on this, I guess.
As of Santo Domingo. Prior to my trip I've read all SD posts for the last couple of years and was aware about the common opinion that SD is not suggested for newbies (especially without a decent Spanish) but rather more suitable for those who already established long term connections with girls (where the "long term" means any period longer then one day). My personal experience from my trip to SD last week only confirms this observation. Having plan be (Ave. Pasteur casas) I do not feel any particular disappointment from the trip. I still had good time but, as many on this forum, I prefer a good GFE over sport-fucking "quickies".
By the way, you intrigued me when you mention about your "monument fuck-up". Have you posted some details on this episode? If so, can you provide a link, but if not, can you elaborate on this now? (unless it is still too painful, which I understand).

With only 4-5 mongering trips under my belt I surely fall into Beginners level. Having visited Sosua, Boca Chica and now Santo Domingo and I agree that Santo Domingo should not be the first destination for a freshman. True, an experienced mongerer still can enjoy Sosua and visiting it regularly, but it is not the place where one can master his mongering skills. Picking girls there is too easy.

My sandwich came out first. And it looked good. I waited for hers to come out and it seemed to take an eternity because we were both hungry. When it finally did it looked good. Having said that, I wonder how many here would be willing to jump on raw fish or raw meat. The first being sashimi and the second being "carne salada" from Italy. Dominicans have fish but it is invariably served fried. When however I have tried it with garlic sauce (al ajo), it comes a lot better. Unfortunately, where the fish are plentiful, by the water that is, the roadside shacks are all about frying.

Catch a taxi to either the Metro or Caribe Tours bus station. Take the bus to Sosua. Metro let's you off close enough to walk to many of the hotels. Caribe drops a ways out of town, but a short cab ride will get you to your hotel.
It might take a few more hours, but it's not a bad way to travel. Unless you absolutely need a rental car for some reason.

What prevents you from renting a car in Sosua, once your have landed there by Bus? That way, you can return the vehicle and get back via Pto pta airport. Needless to say, there are a zillion motoconchos, who for a paltry amount, will take you wherever you would want to go in / around Sosua.

I have a car reserved for $28.00 per day. But after taxes, fees and drop off (Not insurance which will be a separate charge) the rate climbs to $58 for an intermediate. The drop off fee is $100 so I figure I will only save the drop off fee plus gas if I take the bus. Plus I will need to take a cab to the bus. I'm weighing my options by checking with you guys.

But I am checking for other options with you guys because it will be my first time in La Isabella airport and they don't seem to have a car rental at the airport. My favorite is right around the corner at a place we call "Gogo park" because of preference to just sit there and do nothing with the fellas. Walk out of Napolitano facing the ocean and hang a left and walk two blocks. You will see the park and two stores with the plastic white chairs outside. Either have a seat or get a bottle of brutal and cup with ice and have a seat at the park with the ocean as a backdrop. Watch out for Wendy though. She speaks perfect English and is very cute but she is a crack head. You can also take the 29 minute walk up to Elvis Conde for a few watering holes. Hope this helps. Also the' Luis has good food and it's right past the park on the makecon.

By the way, the entry into the highway that takes you north up to Nagua and then to the Sosua area is close to the International Airport anyway.

I am concerned about insurance and backup should I need it.

I save $80 or $100 drop-off fee (I have 2 separate reservations with 2 different companies) plus I estimate $45.00 for cab to car rental at 33 kilometers. I also estimate $40 for gas which I had excluded from my own first estimate. But I will save aggravation and arrive refreshed for the main activity. Any suggestions for a known and respected driver would be appreciated.

I just got back from the DR. I travel to the DR often and have had many experiences there, good and bad. Mostly bad because I'm a dumb ass and always think with the wrong head if you know what I mean. Like most of you I use this board for getting important information. You guys are great and I need to learn more from you. If I screw up with this post, give me time. I'll eventually get the hang of it. If anyone knows how to attach pictures within a post, please tell me how or direct me to where I can learn.
I love massages. One of my goals in life, other than becoming rich and famous, is to travel to Thailand and experience "a soapy". While I was in Santo Domingo, I checked out Spa Odisea for a Nuru / Soapy Massage. Long story short, it was a somewhat disappointing massage with no sex. Well, I got a HJ but I don't consider a hand job sex in the DR.
If your heading down the main street, named Washington Ave, you will see a wall with Coplan Plaza on it.
Take that street and when you see a CASA sign, make a left into a parking lot. You'll see a door, the only door, at the end of the building.
Once inside you'll get a line up of the girls. When I went, the mamasan or whatever gave me a hard time telling me I needed an appointment before I can get a massage. After a few words, she went into the back room presumably to talk to the boss and get permission for me to have a massage. Surprise! She came back saying that it was OK for me to get a massage without an appointment.
From the line up, I picked a tiny spinner and off we went. I forgot her name, but she was a college student about 21 years of age and spoke great English. No tits but a beautiful face and cute tiny butt. She was topless for the whole massage but she kept her bikini bottom on. I was allowed to touch everywhere I wanted. It also appears you are both in a hurry and also need to save. They do not go together.

From here, the car rental place (Nelly rent a car) was really close where for a Kia Picanto I paid about $140 for a week, booked earlier online, without insurance. The catch of course is that I returned the car to the same location. Total transport cost to car rental from airport about $10 but I was in no hurry.

To the OP: If you could make your way from JBQ to Av Independencia, Nelly would be a nice choice to rent from. I looked on their website and doesn't seem like there'll be a surcharge to originate there and drop off at PUJ Punta Cana.
Please do report back. There are virtually no "cross-over" Haiti--DR reports. I'd like to read about your experience in both countries in one trip.

(But did you actually go from SDQ via motoconcho and guagua, to Av Independencia, in order to rent from Nelly? There is a Nelly office right there at SDQ, I'm sure you know.)...Yes, I understand. I was only recounting my experience of travel from SDQ. I wrote a report, must have been 2014.
Yes, concho from airport to the highway intersection of SDQ, then guagua to Parque Independencia and then on to Nelly on a street parallel to el malecon about 10 minutes from Independencia, the name eludes me. Actually, I forgot, they came to pick me up as is their won't. Great adventure!
I avoid rentals at airports, even at Santiago which is a much smaller and closer to the city, airport.
