I did RTFF (SD thread). And I copied maybe 150 reports down into a word document, so that I could easier do my research and not be dependent on an internet connection.

Since I saw so many contributions with questions regarding directions and information in regards to these places, I decided to share my work with my fellow mongers!

Here is the result:

I just used all relevant information from all the reports (copy & paste) and searched these places via the internet. Then I TRIED to mark (at least) the street of the places on a map.

I am looking for a budget GF hotel in SD. Came across the Maison Gautreaux.. Some contributors have mentioned it. But I just want to clarify:

DVI like Maison Gatreux, cost was about 42 dollars per night. Small, basic rooms with air conditioning and electronic safe in the room I had. The owner of Maison Gatreux is a colonel in the police, he also owns a private security firm. The security at the hotel is good.

I came and went with as many chicas, as I wanted. I would stay there again. It is around the corner from V Centennario Hotel (on the Malecon), and an easy walk to the Hotel Melia and the Jaragua.

Guy named Pablo was the chef at the restaurant there, speaks English, knows most of the people around the area and knows the owner of Sky House.

I had fun the 5 nights at stayed at Maison Gatreux, parked my car in front, drove to Boca Chica Beach several times. Sometimes walked over to the Jaragua using the Malecon. There is a bodega (small store to buy beer and claro cards) up the street at the corner with Avenida Independencia. Girl's house and sky house are about three blocks away on Ave. Pasteur. Also on Pasteur is a cafeteria/bakery/sandwich place, Vlla Hernanos. Some food in that place you buy it by the weight, seafood salad, hot mashed potatoes and other stuff. Sandwiches are supposedly good.

Further down on Avenida Independencia is the back entrance for the Renaissance Jaragua hotel, and across from the rear entrance of the of the Jaragua is Manolos restaurant which is open 24/7, good prices, fresh juices, hamburgers other stuff.

Scortshow and KarlaModels are owned by same entity; however, Karla's is located in Tijuca and Scort is located in Flamengo. Also, "6" is an average; the girls at Karla's and Scort range from "5" - "7." Also, I have high standards.

DVMaison Gatreaux is an ok place for a night or two. It is GF friendly.It does have room safes and a light breakfast was included. I thought the rooms at the Jaguar were a little nicer for the same price. No breafast, but a tiny kitchen is in your room to fix some.

After spending 2 nights in the city, I have several new questions... Could some of the SDQ veterans clue me in?

Does anyone have experience with the "casino chicas?" how much do they charge and for much time? I smiled at a few while walking through jaragua casino last night, some smiled back, but none of them showed any enthusiasm whatsoever. i walked back about 2 hrs later - most of them were still there, just sitting around. but again, no real enthusiasm. also, what about night clubs at the hotels on the malecon - are some of the chicas there working chicas or not?

L. S.I have been told the chicas at sky house live there. That they can only exit the premises when a guy pays the salida, therefore usually no daytime action. I have seen other places in the Dom. Rep. Where chicas lived on the premises and had very little free time to exit the establishment.

Jaragua casino, some chicas sit up at the corner bar, usually a live band every night (stays open late). If you sit up there, some chicas will make eye contact with you and you can chit chat with them. I once gave a big chested light skin blonde 30 year old chica a ride home one night from the Jaragua Casino, around 4am, I was on my way to santiago and where she lived was in that direction. In my car she offered her services for 1500 pesos. I didn't do anything with her.

As far as making contact with the chicas who sit at the slot machines, I guess you have to play dumb, wink or smile at the ones you like, some may follow you up to the bar where you can talk shop. It can be a little unnerving just to approach a group of chicas sitting at the slot machines, but just play dumb and who cares if the other patrons in the casino see you chatting up the working girls. Prices can be negotiated.

In the Hotel Melia is Coppa disco, it has two entrances, one that faces the street and the other entrance from the casino. Coppa has about 6 bouncers that may pat you down before you enter. The older bouncer guy is friendly. There is no cover charge (free) to enter coppa. In coppa I paid 200 pesos for a presidente. Should be busy Thursday, Friday and saturdays nights. If you get there a little early try to get a seat. One side is VIP, one corner is VIP, and the tables in the middle they reserve for people who are buying bottles. There is one 30 year old light skin waiter in there, I chatted with him and he would tell me which chicas were available and would go and make the introduction if I liked the chica (he would tell me that some chicas were only interested in p4p). Some obviously working girls in coppa, others may be there with a group of other chicas, but could be working girls, but maybe not as hardcore as others. Usually you can tell who are the more hardcore working girls in Coppa disco, some hang out by themselves. Coppa stays open late. Try the other place around the corner from Renaissance Jaragua, la Parada, I believe the chicas don't live there and you might be able to get some phone numbers from them for daytime action.

Chicas who work in these bars, like baby dolls are probably told not to give out their phone numbers. The owner of the bar wants the guys to pay the salida fee and I am sure doesn't want chicas trying to under cut his business by giving out phone numbers for after work play. Some chica in Foxys gave me her number, but she was real sneaky about it.

Presidente cerveza, small bottle, in the Jaragua Casino is about 250 pesos. Best not to be buying too many drinks in the Jaragua Casino.

I have been told that a bar/club called something like house 13 on avenida Venezuela might be good, it at least 10 minutes from the Jaragua. Bar Atarazana 9 in zona colonial can be good too, some discrete working girls can be found there.

I was told that there is a lesbian bar in Gascue called something like Amasonia, not sure where it is.

BoricuaOnline said the indoor/outdoor bar on Avenida Mexico near Maximo Goemez and close to the medical school, UNIBE, has many attractive chicas from different latin countries.

DVI last stayed there over a year ago. Paid 42 dollars per night, not sure if they have a price for one person, or whether they have a higher price if it is for two people. I had chicas sleep over, we entered around 5am and slept till the next day.

Jaguar hotel, (not the Renaissance Jaragua), gets good reviews. Riazor hotel is adjacent to Manolos restaurant, directly behind the Renaissance Jaragua hotel and casino.

One night one of the workers at Maison Gareux offered me a chica. Weird that they are saying no guests overnight, unless they want you to pay for a room for two people.

Some hotels, like the Hotel Palacio have a cheaper rate for a single occupancy room. I usually pay the extra 10 o 15 dollars per night at the hotel palacio and get room for two people.

How many days will you be there? You can always try different hotels, Riazor, Jaguar, Maison Gatreux are fairly close to each other. Does Maison Gatreux have different prices for single occupancy or double occupancy?

If Maison Gatreux is going to bust your balls about chicas sleeping over, don't stay there. When I was there, they were friendly, I walked in and out with various chicas (some slept over) and no one at the hotel said a word to me.

DVI checked their webpage, price for a double occupancy room is 60 us dollars. A single occupancy room, the price is 45 dollars. I guess I got lucky by paying 45 and not knowing chicas could not sleep over. Oh well. Not sure if the rooms there are worth 60 dollars.

Before I start the overview of my 1st ever trip to SDQ, I'd like to offer a special Thank You to Jaosousa for his invaluable SDQ tips and suggestions.

Anyway, this was my 1st trip to DR, 11 nights in POP/Sosua, and then 3 nights in SDQ. Stayed in Jaguar hotel, very guest-friendly. $45 room on the 1st floor was available, $50/55 rooms are on the upper floors. The hotel owner and his staff know what you're after, so there should be no "surprises" from them.

Thursday.
Arrived on a Metro in the mid-day, went for a recon walk during the afternoon. Am I glad that i did or what! There are several clubs within the walking distance of Jaguar/each other, but the sidewalks are full of holes in the pavement. If you don't watch your step - you'll be many feet under. Be especially careful walking at night.... Came back to the hotel, figured will take a short nap and go out around 10Pm.. Not so fast! for whatever reason the alarm clock didn't go off, and I woke up at 3:30am. F***k!!!! i've got only 3 nights here, and i'll lose the 1st night to sleep? no way! so, it's my 1st night in SDQ, it's 3:45am, i'm walking toward Ave. Independencia not really knowing what to expect. street girls are all gone. i pass by Lapsus/Tabu, both closed. turn left on Sanchez(?) toward Malecon/G. Washington. LaParada just closed at 4am (other clubs close @1am). turn left again and walk into Jaragua casino. it's 4:15am and it's empty. i continue on Malecon toward Melia. A tout near Melia offers me "really good chica" tries to give me some cards with club addresses. i ignore him and enter Melia. there are several girls aimlessly sitting on the concrete blocks outside near the entrance, and 1 more inside. i'm not sure if they're working or not, but i decide to try my luck and walk to Pasteure where Girl H. and Sky H. are both (obviously) closed by now. In my previous 10 days in Sosua, you could still see a few girls around, even @4am. apparently not in SDQ. I walk back to Melia, determined not to waste a full one-third of my time here and pull someone to my hotel.
now, what is that in red top just walked out of the night club and sat down on the concrete slab (fence?) just outside? O.M.G.!!! Holy Sh*T! this is THE Hottest chica i've seen in DR, the hottest chica I've seen in many months, maybe in years! Angelina Jolie, Gisele, Trump's new wife - they don't even come close to this one! she's not tall, maybe 5'5" but the face and body physique - incredible. I'm ready to pull as many $100 bills from the money belt as needed. i am almost there, maybe 15 meters from her, and then a car passes me from behind and stops right in front of her.
the car, btw, is a black 2009 Nissan GT-R (aka R35) those who know about this car know why i'm mentioning the specifics. it stops, some guy in late-20s or early 30s (who i will refer to as Pablo Escobar Jr.) walks out and joins this chica. the car meanwhile sits on the driveway right in front of Melia entrance, with doors open and music blaring from the tricked out audio. ok Gents, I realize that a) chis chica is "attached" and b) even if she was alone, my entire credit card cash advance wouldn't be enough.... well, at least i got to see a chica of this quality up close. wouldn't happen if I was in Moscow or NYC..... as the chica disappears inside the GT-R, I walk away, toward Jaragua. I'm still contemplating what might have been if I was in the Pablo Escobar's trade myself when the same tout starts following me again. I know I shouldn't have taken him up on his offer, but i was determined to bust a nut. and i was out of other options.
So, he leads me a few block up, to a 2-story house on Santiago. apparently, that's where several chicas from the clubs live. he starts banging on the door and a chica comes out. it's dark, but i get a look at her face and it's ok. the belly's there ,but she's ok. the tout tells me RD$3k for 3 hours. ok, RD$3k goes to the "pimp"/super who lives in the same building, RD$500 to the tout. Back in my hotel, I see that she's in late 20s, nice face, but the "behind" is on the heavy side. she says her club closed late, and she doesn't sleep until later anyway. she undresses - there' a HUUUUGE scar from c-section, the whole lower abdomen seems deformed because of it. well, i've already paid the $$$, lets get down to business! she does a good BBBJ, then does several posisions (she wasn't too eager for CG though.) Her pu**y muscles are some of the strongest i've experienced. i did enjoy how she "grabbed" and milked me... 30min later - the round #2, after which she gets up and starts dressing up. i tell her that i was promised 3hrs - and it's been only 1.5 hours. she says it's 2 hours, not 3. and it's always 2hrs, it's a standard time here. ok, it's 6:30am, i need some rest too. so i let her go, but as a sort-of retribution i don't tell her that the night shift hotel worker who had her cedula while in the room can get her a taxi in a matter of 2 minutes. (she tried to get a driver who services the club where she works - but he's apparently off-duty now, and his cell phone is off) so, even though the chica gets RD$150 taxi $$$ from me, she reluctantly walks back (4 blocks) back to her dorm, in high heels :) i'll post info on this chica later.
the end of my 1st night in SDQ.... all in all, I think it was a success. BTW, that "chica in red" from Melia is still in front on my eyes! wow....

l. s.when i stayed at the hotel el embajador in sdq, i met an older american guy at the bar. i was telling him about the many expensive cars i saw in sdq, he said there is a lot of drug money in sdq. (he recommended the country of paraguay as inexpensive good mongering destination). the usa ambassador in the dominican republic recently gave a speech wherein he stated that there is a lot of money laundering of drug money in the dom rep. and urged the dominican government to do something about it.

no smoking inside the casino or in the disco, so i usually stand out near the water fountain (short cement wall) to smoke a cigarette and watch the chicas come and go. some expensive cars pull up in front of the melia, one night i saw a pitcher for the ny mets in the melia casino, tall big guy.

Day 2 - thursday. (day 1 was really wednesday, not thursday)
I made sure not to fall asleep again, and went out around 9pm. Decided to check out as many places as I can. Started with a walk through Jaragua casino - i guess 9pm is too early for the providers there. Made a right on Malecon and headed to La Parada. it's a larger club, with a stripper pole (but girls are not pro strippers, so the most you can see is an amateur performances now and then.) i walk inside and what do a i see? the chia from the last night! of course, she's all over me (literally.) i buy a few beers and try to find a "polite" way to get out. meanwhile, i observe other chicas. probably around 20, most are not really hotter than Sosua chicas, just better make-up and more expensive clothes and haircuts. 2 chicas stand out - one is a tall, light skinned chica with almost perfect stripper body, stripper boots and typical stripper outfit. but she's not a pro stripper. i'd say she looks more like a chica from Argentina than from the DR. the other one is, well, if you've seen HBO's "Bunny Ranch" series - she's like local Air Force Amy. Old(er), huge, enhanced, flabby boobs, really loud and obnoxious. speaks good english, but i'd not take her even if she paid me! after 30 min or so i realize that the chica from last night is one of the better ones in La Parada, but i still want to check out other clubs. so i tell her that i was tired from last night, and 9:30pm is too early, and i'd be back for her later. i even leave her a "deposit" of 300 pesos (10% of the price quoted there.) a small price, i figured, if i don't pick up anyone else.
i walk out and go to Lapsus. it's a 2.5min walk. there i get hit with 190 peso Presidentes. the gordita that attached herself to me quoted 2500 pesos for 2 hours. about 12-15 chicas there. no stunners, no real hotties and no spinners. many have bellies like the worst of Sosua. so far i saw no customers in Lapsus, and only 1 in La Parada.
10:30pm, i'm on my way to girl house/sky house. the Tabu sign is next door to Lapsus, but the door is shut. too early? there are still no streetwalkers on Independencia. Girl house is relatively "full" - maybe 20+ chicas, and 5-6 potential clients. quality is higher than Lapsus, on par with La Parada. i see a few chicas that stand out. tried to get one chica's cell phone number to have her during the day - she's not giving it to me. well, then i'm otta here! On my last day in SDQ I wanted to hit as many locations as I could, but with the "touristy" stuff I did in the morning i didn't get a chance to visit the (now) famous GBP. around 8pm i took a taxi to foxy's and baby dolls next to it, on malecon in the colonial zone. Foxys is a small club, maybe 10 chicas. the good thing about it is excellent lighting, which is almost unseen for this type of establishment. in bright light it was easy to see that the chicas are 6-7 level (maybe 8 depending on the taste,) but IMHO still no better than those in Sosua, just with fancier clothes and haircuts. now the bad part: drinks cost at least 2X more than in other clubs, and a chica propositioned 1hr on-site for RD$3500, or for 2hrs in my place. i didn't like the price, nor the chica's attitude, plus i wanted to see other places first.
i left foxy's and went to Baby Dolls next door. Wow, this was an eye opener (considering what i've seen in the DR so far.) Most chicas at Baby Dolls were totally different from the rest of the clubs. First, they don't even look dominican: very light skinned, perhaps like some colombianas/venezolanas but taller and "leaner," or like chicas from the mediterranean. (Near)perfect dancer-like physique (they're also sell poll dances), very few who have any fat on them. The chicas are high-class. the street clothes and "work clothes" are high-class, and i thought some "bling-bling" was real! I saw 2-3 other customers as early as 9pm and maybe 5-7 chicas, but more were arriving all the time in street clothes. IMHO, the place is very expensive by the dominican standards. The chica that attached herself to me quoted RD$6000 for 1hr onsite. RD$8000 for 2hr in my place (total time out of the club, so the net time with the chica is a lot less than that.) The drinks for the chicas were in the 400-600 peso range. The chica I talked with the most easily recognized which country i was originally from, and could hold a brief conversation in my native language! She admitted that she worked 6 months in Switzerland, and could "communicate" with customers in at least 5 languages (not sure if that includes spanish)
she also wanted me to pay her to dance on the pole for RD$1k, but i refused. i asked her if other chicas are from DR or foreigners, she said that they are all locals, but i'm not sure i believe her. Anyway, she was hot, and even though a girl like that perhaps would cost a lot more in the States or W. Europe, I wasn't about to throw away RD$6k in (addition to RD$1k on drinks) for 1hr with a girl who would probably finish me off in 90 seconds, dress up, and leave. after watching a few chicas dance on the pole I left the place. originally i wanted to check out the Doll House, but after Baby Dolls I felt i've seen enough of high end stuff and had to get some GFE.
I ended up in Girl House. same chicas as the night before, but more customers (it was friday, after all.) no, not the same quality as Baby Dolls, but some do stand out. picked up "Jennifer" - about 5'2", light skin, not a stick-thin stripper body, but very cute anyway, with some meat to hold on to. nice soft boobs, very soft skin. she said she had 2 kids, but i didn't see the scar. anyway, RD$2500 for 2 hrs. she was good, active, many positions, but no real GFE. she did have a bit of a "princess" attitude, which prevented her from getting a propina (that, and the fact that after 1hr and my 2nd pop she started to pack her sh*t, ready to leave.)
after she left, i did the last quick survey of the clubs in the area - at 1am on friday night(!!) lapsus, girl and shy house still had very few customers. this made me think: how the heck they make a living? with so few customers, how much $ can they get, especially after the club takes its cut? so, i talked to a few girls, asked if they worked in other places/countries. every time they scoffed at me - europe? st maarten? curacao? this is what i basically heard from each of them: you've got to work too hard in those places, too many people to f**k, i'd rather be here. that did sound strange to me: they'd rather sit all night with not a single customer than making big bucks elsewhere? well, maybe they like the "safety" of the clubs, and relatively well-off people that visit the clubs. but perhaps this attitude explains why the chicas performed the was they did. perhaps the RD$6000 chica from Baby Dolls would've been the best performer of them all, who knows!
Around 2am I ended up in Jaragua casino again. saw a few unattached girls near the bar. made an eye contact tith the one i thought was the cutest. she turned out to be somewhat shy, perhaps not a long time in the business. long story short, she had 6-7body, but really cute face. looked to be in the early 20s. RD$1500 for a few hours was the deal. she turned out to be as good if not better than all other chicas in my 2weeks in the DR. i'd like call her if i ever get beck to SDQ, but unfortunately i didn't enter her # my cell, and may have lost the piece of paper with her digits :( She left around 5am, and @5:45 i was on my was to LasAmericas.
My 1st 3 days in SDQ were fun, but certainly not as much fun as it could have been if a) i had more time on the ground and b) my spanish and especially comprehension of dominical dialect was better. the price difference (2.5K vs. 1.5k in sosua for 2hrs) doesn't bother me (saving RD$1k or US$28 per day won't make me rich or poor) but Sosua felt like a better match for what i was looking for.

Gentlemen, listen to and heed the advice of Jaosousa and other Destinguished SDQ veterans: SDQ is a place to hook up with non-pros. If you have the game, language skills and time (and parhaps a car?) - SDQ is for you. of course, you might try your luck with some of the high-end, higher-priced chcias, but i've not tried that. You may, of course just want to go to clubs and pick up chicas in a relatively safe environment and without much worry that the chica will steal from you or worse, but IMHO the satisfaction level is far below of what it can be.

I believe the price on Foxys is 6,000 and 3500 on Baby Dolls. Also Foxys is the place with the pole dancing. Jaragua casino was almost empty of girls when I visited on May, maybe it was the rain, maybe the fact that Melia with its new disco is the place to visit. In fact I saw more sex workers on Melia casino than in Jaragua. Good reports Lucky.

The link is for Gazcue area map. El Penthouse and not la mansion is the place that is on Caonabo st, the street that is parallel to Bolivar Ave., not far from malecon area. La Mansion is just a minute outside the airport and is the place with a pool on premises. You can see Caonabo St. on the north area of map.

I wanted to thank all you posters here for sharing information about DR. I read back to 2007 to get the feel of the land and how its changed. I don't have anything new to add to the veterans postings here so if you are looking for new gems this is not the report. However if you are going for the first time maybe this will help you.

I stayed at Hotel Mystik, really never left that block. I was only there for a few days. I arrived early evening on Thursday and started drinking Presidente in the cab on the way to the hotel. Checked in at the hotel with no problems shown to the rooms which were clean and spacious. Nice big bathroom and a table with chairs, safe and mini fridge and cold air condition for $50 night.

This place sits next to Girls house on Pastuer, which is a pretty busy street. We sat out in front of the hotel and had to deal with the street hawkers and kids wanting money every 10 minutes, but also was able to see the ladies coming and going from Girls and Sky, in there street clothes, as well as the "gazelles" passing by, some of which were available.

After a few Presidente lights and some food from the corner restaraunt we ventured in Girls house. We were quoted 2500 pesos for two hours back at the hotel before we went in. Once in, the place was really dark and we went to the bar to get a beer, 250 pesos I believe, then the girls all lined up, about 30 I would say. There was no lack of attractive girls, my buddy picked one and was gone in five minutes. I was talking to a girl next to me that spoke english. She was 22 about 5'1 110 pound spinner, but no boobs to speak of. I was just asking some general questions about how things worked but I was unable to get rid of her once I began talking to her. She was cute, we could communicate easily and she said she would do everything I asked her. When I went to the bartender to pay, he said 3500 pesos for the girl. I explained I had been told 2500 and he agreed, so we were off. After hanging out for a while I am almost asleep and she says, baby I need a tip to stay the night. I ask why she says, to stay the night. I explain that she said she was staying already when she came to the room. She just laughed and smiled. Then she asked if I wanted her to stay the night, I told her I didn't care if she did or not, to which she frowned and said Really? . I told her to vamos, no propina and showed her out. I wasn't going to be able to sleep with her there anyway and I didn't want to repeat so that was my chance to get rid of her.

That was it for me. I had a good time, it was too short of a visit, but it was a good first trip to test the waters so to speak. Of course, a lot more happened than I am writing here, but nothing out of the ordinary from the reports that are here to read.

I would recommend Santo Domingo for a new guy. I never felt unsafe and was able to get by knowing little to know spanish.

For the same $50, stay at one of the nearby places instead then spend as much or as little time as you want sitting in front of the Mystik. Why? Face it, the place is a magnet for touts, mercenary girls, and much worse. YMMV but people staying there are targets and if I were a journalist working on a story about sex tourism who needed a photo to illustrate the story, I would snap a picture of the gringos sat in front of Mystik. It is a couple of streets east of the Penthouse, near the northeast corner of Privada and 27 de febrero. You can get there by guagua, OMSA bus, or carro publico (not recommended). Just ask the bus or taxi driver to let you off at "Privada." It rhymes with "colada" as in "pina colada"

It's a well known Dominican place since the mid 90s that caters to the middle class of ensanche Quisqueya and El Million. THey go there because it's a little off the beaten track and they are not likely to run into their neighbors. You never know what you will get as a choice of girls. It varies from hour to hour literally but they have been recruiting pretty heavily in recent months. It is easy to find because there is a big white #7 painted on the front of the place. It is on the second floor and you enter via a front exterior staircase. The neighborhood is pretty safe but as always be careful after dark.

My original response states very clearly EXACTLY where the place is located. Privada (north/south) and 27 de febrero (east/west) intersect. The *****house is no more than three buildings north of the northeast corner of the Privada/27 de febrero intersection.

Privada is east of the Penthouse. I don't know that name of that street but if you call the Penthouse (phone number appears in their newspaper ads) they will tell you. Penthouse is on the top floor of a strip mall very near the northwest corner of 27 de febrero. It's near the plaza de la bandera and the APEC university, as well as Berlitz.

I am trying to put together a quick hitter map for my boys that are going to Santo Domingo next week to download to their Iphones. The Doll House is basically located where the Malecon Center is (near Hilton Hotel) on Ave. George Washington. La Parada is correct. Baby Dolls is about six blocks to the right of Hotel Napolitano on Ave. George Washington, Foxys is about one half block further to the right from Baby Dolls, going East or to the right on the map. I believe Baby Dolls is on the corner of Ave. Sanchez and Ave. George Washington. Foxys should be between Ave. Sanchez and 19 de Marzo, on Ave. George Washington.

When I went to Casa Teresa, the taxi driver took Avenida Ortega y Gasset. From what I remember Casa Theresa is north of Avenida 27 de Febrero and probably north of Ave. Kennedy (Autopista Duarte), on the right hand side of the road when coming from the South. On Ortega y Gasset north of Avenida 27 de Febrero/kennedy, tranvestite hookers, be careful.

Casa Azul is somewhat close to Casa Theresa. On a side road with a metal gate to enter the parking area. There is also Casa de Modelos which is closer to Independencia. For those three casas it may be wise for your friends to pay a taxi driver to show them the first time, if your friends have a car they can follow the taxi driver. I went to those 3 casas one time starting around 2am. Casa Teresa had some attractive chicas. Casa Azul was fun, you can drink at the bar in Casa Azul after Curfew and check out the chicas.

From your map, you have the address of casa azul as being on Ave. Paraguay. Ave. Republica de Paraguay is north of Ave. Kennedy (Autopista Duarte), casa azul is probably between ave. ortega y gasset y maximo gomez, on Ave. Paraguay.

You should add GBP.

There is also another place around the corner from Hotel Napolitano.

Girls house and sky house are located on Ave. Pasteur, between Ave. Independencia and Ave. George Washington.

Add Coppa disco in Hotel Melia, as well the Jaragua Casino, or just tell your friends that chicas can be found there as well.

Ejecutivo is another place when coming from the airport. Casa Australia is another place. Club Mc another place. Other places; Sutra, Pussycats, El Penthouse. Another place that advertises is located on Ricart and Lopez de Vega.

Excellent job. Casa Australia, Club Mc (Ave. Fransisco Prats Ramirez about 5 houses east of Ave. Dr. Fernando a Delfillo), Ejecutivo, Casa Modelos, Sutra, Avenida Sarasota east of Churchill and in front of the Hotel El Embajador are other spots. There is a bar on the service road of the Las Americas highway when coming from the airport, has a large painted silhouette of a woman on the front of its wall.

Bar Atarzana 9 (Calle La Atarazana #9) in zona colonial can sometimes be worthwhile. There is another place in Isabelita. Also the place that advertises in listin Diario on the corner of Ave. Gustavo Mejia Ricart and Ave. Lope de Vega.

Also the lesbian bar Amazonia (could be a good place to go with a chica, in search of a potential partner for a threesome), Dr. Delgado #71. Gazcue.

"This is Ejecutivo which I posted about recently. Marginal is basically spanish for service road. It is located on the service road to Avenida Las Americas before san vincente if coming from airport or boca on right hand side. Big yellowish or orangish houses often with mercedes or similar luxury car in Drive.

If you get off of las americas at san vincenter and head north make first right on a short street named rosa blanca. here is where it gets tricky as I am not sure if the marginal is one way. Forgetting that minor issue, lol, make a right on the marginal and follow it around as it curves left and you will now be on the service road to las americas heading east. Casa is almost near the end on left hand side.

you could alternatively turn north on jardines del este then make first left on marginal sur house will be near the beginning of marginal sur.

I have not been in months and the last visit most of the chicas were just "OK" with one or two doable in my eyes, but that can change in a matter of days so worth a stop in for a beer. Found this photo on the internet of the street where the seaside italian restaurant near the cabanas (west on the malecon), should be on Ave. Rojas Alou. In the photo you can see the sign for the restaurant and a bit of the parking area. Not a bad place if you are using the nearby cabanas. This restaurant closes around 10-11pm. I can't find the name of the place.

On the Malecon going west, coming from the direction of the Jaragua, when you start to see the cabanas, I believe there is an elevated road there, don't take the elevated road (not sure if you can) and soon thereafter you can make a U-turn to get to other side of Ave. George Washington and make the right onto Ave. Rojas Alou. There is small road that runs along the sea (maleconcito), adjacent to the restaurant, dark at night, some cars parked there.

There is also another place around the corner from Hotel Napolitano.Just to be correct even though it's not a real big deal the place that was around the corner from Hotel Napolitano is no longer there on calle numero. It was called PP's.

There is a new bar/lounge there called Sweet, an attractive woman named Mabel is the Gerente/mgr there, it just opened up a couple of weeks ago under the new name, and when I stopped in they didn't have any girls yet, although she indicated that they will in the future. By the way Mabel speaks english.

Some bigger hotels in Santo Domingo are cheaper, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. For example the Hilton sdq is about 236 dollars per night midweek, however on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the price drops to 111.

Orbitz has a coupon code that knocks 15% off the price of most hotels. Type in SUMMERVIN, in the "I have a promotion code" box and click apply and reprice. With the code the price for two at the Hilton sdq drops to 98 dollars per night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This copun is good till August 15, 2009.

Another Orbitz copun is WELCOME10, which takes 10% off and may be good till October 2009.

With the coupon, one night at Coral Costa Caribe all inclusive hotel in Juan Dolio can be reserved for 78 dollars per night for two people. Previously I had seen the Coral Costa Caribe charging 160 dollars per night for two people.

A bit of a walk to get to where the chicas are, there are plenty of taxis, if you don't mind paying. Napolitano is a bigger hotel than Riazor. Napolitano has a pool I believe on the 4th floor. Riazor has no pool. I have never stayed at either one, but have been by both of them plenty of times. Riazor has a somewhat better location, especially if you don't have a car. From Riazor you can easily walk to numerous places to find chicas. From Napolitano you will have a much longer walk. Appears to me Napolitano is probably a little more modern than Riazor. Riazor is small.

I like to swim, so I usually try and find a place with a pool. Boca Chica beach is about 35 minutes by car from the Napolitano.

Jaguar and Riazor are considered small hotels, Napolitano is midsized, near a hundred rooms. Prices on Napolitano usually round 80-90 dollars, Riazor and Jaguar 50- 60 dollars. Napolitano has breakfast buffet for 2 until 10 am. They also have a pool, restaurant, and a recently renovated disco and casino. All rooms have sea view because it is in the malecon. Napolitano is near Babydolls and Foxys, Riazor and Jaguar near Lapsus, La Parada, Girls and Sky house. All hotels are guest friendly. You can go to Lapsus etc, from Napolitano, maybe a 15 minute walk. It is not bad to walk, some of my contacts have been done while walking. I was on Napolitano one day on May and had the time of my life, my best night of the trip with Casa Azul girls. Napolitano rooms have minibar, if you do not want the girls to eat or drink from minibar ask management to clean it up, items are expensive. Jaguar have some rooms with 18' refrigerators so you can buy your groceries and save some money.

Riazor and Jaguar, the two smaller hotels are pretty much equal. The biggest difference is Riazor is right on Avenida Independencia where Jaguar is a two short block walk off of Independencia. Late at night it is a lonely dark walk back to Jaguar. I do it all the time but I am familiar with SD.

A deal breaker for me is a hotel without a safe and without a frig. Jaguar has a safe large enough for a laptop and all rooms have a frig.

Are you going to base yourself in SD and maybe take a daytrip or two to Boca Chica?

I stayed one night at the Napolitano and was able to sneak in a guy and two girls I had encountered on Mundioanuncio. The deal was that he would fuck his girlfriend while I watched and then entertain myself with the other girl.

Napolitano is about 6 blocks from Baby Dolls. Walking on the Malecon is usually safe. Around rush hour the malecon can get bumper to bumper traffic.

I wonder how the disco will be in Hotel Napolitano. Also the former PP cafe, which is now called Sweet is on a side street adjacent to the Hotel Napolitano.

Stayed at the Jaguar Apart Studios (www.jaguarapartstudios.com) for the last 2 days. Write-ups are accurate. Nice pleasant boutique hotel.

Had a nice chat with Rafael (the manager/owner/partner).

His business model is only via word of mouth. Not much advertising. He agreed with my suggestion: He will give a $5 dolllar discount for the rooms if you mention this site (the normal prices are $45 and up).

Rafael seems to want our business. The hotel is guest-friendly. He will give you all the info you need. He even offered to give free Vonage phone calls to the US. He also will call the grocery market and local restaurant for stuff to be delivered without commission (Hotel will add 10% for outcall laundry. Although he said that he gets a 20% discount. Hence it will be 10% off normal price. Although laundry prices in DR are expensive. Used to paying 40 Baht per kilo in Khoa San Road).

One last thing I would like to add is that some of the beds are fantastic. He said that he got some of the beds from a 5 star hotel that used it for 7 months. Room 201 has a great bed.

Rafael seems to be a nice and friendly guy.

I am a South Coast dude, haven't been to Sosua in almost two years. Santo Domingo takes a few trips to learn the in's and out's. In SD things are not served to you on a silver platter, you have to do some work to find your comfort zone.

Since you will only be in the DR a short time I would stick with Sosua. When you have a longer trip than I would suggest spending some time in SD to see if you like it. SD and Sosua are complete opposites, in more ways than one.

Good luck and enjoy your trip wherever you decide to go.

I am planning a trip to DR for next month. I am can only go from a Friday to Monday. I am debating between Santo Domingo and Sosua. I am familiar with Sosua but it is much easier to commute to Santo Domingo. Any suggestions or insight would be a great help. I am trying to make the most of the short trip. Hence why I am asking about "daytime action".

Thanks guys.I'll be flying into SDQ shortly, airfare is relatively cheap from New York on Jetblue, non-stop flights. There are some coupon codes on the internet for three night vacations (air and hotel), for the bigger internet travel sites like Orbitz and others. If you go that route choose a chica friendly hotel like the el embajador or napolitano.

Sosua is easy, more laid back. Santo Domingo is hectic. If you go to santo domingo, look at the map that boricuaonline made, the link is in reports of distinction. Some chica bars in santo domingo open around 1pm. You can also find chicas in the listin diario classified ads, as well as in mundo anuncio.

I believe you will find a greater assortment of chicas in santo domingo, but getting around santo domingo can be a hassle with the traffic at times. Sosua can be fun, but Sosua is small, sometimes the same chicas in Sosua, sometimes new girls.

In Santo Domingo you will see some eye candy. If you don't mind a little bit of grit, Santo Domingo can be fun. With the map and if you rent a car you can explore numerous places in Santo Domingo, chica bars, casas, freelance chicas in the streets and in the casinos. Sosua is easier because you really don't need a car in sosua and you can walk from most hotels to the main strip near classicos. Sosua has Passions massage for daytime action and from what I have read some chicas hang out in New Garden for daytime action, as well as some smaller massage places in sosua that offer happy endings in the daytime. I have visited Sosua about ten times and have no great desire to return to Sosua. I am not all that crazy about Santo Domingo either, but I am now familiar with Santo domingo so driving around in Santo Domingo doesn't bother me except for the traffic.

Prices vary, better looking Sosua chicas have asked for 3000 pesos and up. Some chicas in Santo Domingo ask for 3000 pesos and up. 1,500 peso chicas can be found in both santo domingo and in Sosua.

Depends what you want. If you know Sosua and are curious about something new, then you can have fun in Santo Domingo. If you stay at the hotel riazor (or hotel jaguar) in Santo Domingo, near these hotel are various chica bars, street girls at night and casino girls, all within walking distance. If you want to explore the other places for chicas in santo domingo, then you need a car or a taxi.

For three nights, you can give Santo Domingo a try. If you don't like it you can always go back to Sosua or another destination. I doubt you will stay awake for 72 hours straight, so sleep from 4am to 12pm. Then around noon time you can start your hunting, as I wrote before some chica bars open at 1pm, casinos stay open very late and you could always call a few chicas from the listin diario y mundo anuncio ads and have them meet you when you want. You should be able to dip your stick fairly often during three days in Santo Domingo.

Make sure you negotiate what you want up front. You should be able to get one of those for 1, 500. 2, 000 for a short time.

There is no reason to pay a Boca Chica Duarte Street Rat more than $RD1500 @any time of the day, for ST, in fact during the daytime, $RD1000 +/- is a good deal, but you'll need to be a good negotiator.

IMHO RD$2000 is seriously too much to pay for ST in this economy for a street rat. Now a hottie from La Capital in for the weekend, might require a small premium.

Don't let the cabs take you to the house directly as the will want more for the ride.

Actually the reason you avoid being dropped off in front is, the casa will charge you more for the chica to pay the taxi his commission. Obviously, avoid touts following you to the casa, no need for them with the detailed maps a few generous members posted here.

Just curious, how much easier is it for you to travel to SD compared to Sosua?

One other thing to consider for your short trip is SD for the most part is dead on Sundays. I usually go to Playa Boca Chica on Sundays. Last trip I stayed in SD all day and there was nothing to do. I enjoyed the peace and quiet. I did a little grocery shopping, rode around to check out different areas, just had a nice peaceful day.

If chica chasing was my primary interest I would have been lost.

That's what Saturday nights are for, to find a Chica to spend the lazy day with on Sunday :)

i have read your posts and learned from them. i have not read the comments at dr1 regarding the map. the map was compiled from readily available information on the internet. at least 4 of the places on the map advertise in listin diario (a normal mainstream newspaper) and/or mundo anuncio. any government official or other person who lives in santo domingo will know where the street walker chicas are. the street walker chicas walk along well known streets in santo domingo, no big secret. i am sure some holier than thou types have gone to the concert hall in the renaissance jaragua hotel and casino and i am sure they walked through the casino to get to the concert hall and unless they are blind, they would have seen the working girls who hang out in that casino, again no big secret.

germany and holland (the netherlands) are two countries that are considered civilized, with a well educated population. those two countries have legal prostitution. somehow a google map will cause the authorities in the dominican republic to shut down businesses? the world economy is in the crapper, tourism is down and somehow making it difficult for mongers to visit santo domingo is a good idea?

if i had a family with children, i am sure my kids would rather visit disney world than santo domingo. (i have no idea what type of tourism some people think santo domingo can offer, no beach, terrible traffic at times with some bad air pollution at times, a few touristic sites, but nothing to get many family tourists to come and even the nightlife is not great with bars closing at 1am on many nights).

it is said that prostitution is the oldest profession. some form of prostitution probably exists in every country on this planet.

dominican republic is predominantly a christian country, maybe mostly catholic. jimmy swaggert, jim bakker, ted haggard are three prominent preachers who were involved in sex scandals. the catholic church chose to protect **** priests, rather than protect the young boys who were victimized.

you wrote the google map may cause the authorities in santo domingo to shut down some places. why stop there. many people consider gambling immoral, the dominican government could close all the casinos. some people consider drinking alcoholic beverages immoral, they could ban alcohol (or how about banning alcohol advertising at carnavals and other public places frequented by younger children, there is a presidente banner at just about any large public gathering). if the government and some holier than thou types really want to get moral, they could close all the cabanas too. they could make laws against adultery and enforce them. they could send a delegation to speak with the taliban. have all women wear burkas (covered from head to toe, in something that looks like a large potato sack). or stone to death women who are considered immoral (you can see the videos of women getting stoned to death on the internet, because of some alleged immoral act, all in the name of religion). sick.

make santo domingo a difficult, inhospitable mongering destination and less mongers will go there. this will result in a loss of tax revenue (over 100 dollars in fees for the dominican government on many round trip airline tickets, ten dollar tourist card, 26% taxes on most hotels and restaurants) , which the higher ups in the dominican government use for their own personal engorgement (expensive jeeps, villas in bavaro, private planes to take them to miami for the weekend) while many people in dominican republic live in shacks with frequent power outages and use crowded beat up old guaguas because of the lack of proper public transportation.

dominican republic as a way point for drug smuggling and the large amount of laundering of drug money and some people are getting upset about a google map.

as another member, helpmann, previously stated there are better countries for pay for play.

the chicas who support themselves (and some of them support their families) from prostitution, will lose money because a few people want to play the holier than thou game and make mongering difficult in santo domingo. waiters, waitresses, hotel owners, bar owners and other people in the tourism business will lose money when mongers decide to stay away from santo domingo. i guess the church can provide a small wafer and a sip of wine on sundays, to help when some people don't have money for food.

as an aside, years ago las vegas tried to change its image. las vegas tried promoting itself as a family vacation spot. for whatever reason that marketing ploy didn't work out. las vegas is again back to promoting itself as something akin to sin city.

i have had fun in the dominican republic. i try to help out any other guy who wants to travel there.

if the dominican government/dominican people don't want the money that mongers bring into the country, that is their choice. what consenting adults agree to do safely amongst themselves in the bedroom, should not be the business of anyone else.

I believe you make the left at Hotel Conde de Peñalba (when coming from the direction of the Hotel Mercure on El conde). That should be Calle Arzobispo Merino. I have been told that La Briciola restaurant, Calle Arzobispo Meriño #152-A, is very good.

All good points. This in particular caught my eye. The former VP in Costa Rica (female VP) enacted a law to close casinos between the hours of 5 am and 3 pm, rationalizing that casinos promote prostitution. Not sure of the correlation there or not. She is no longer VP but is running for president under a reform party. I'm sure "mongerors" who frequent CR will watch that election closely. Whether it impacts prostitution or not who knows, maybe they should have thought about all the casino workers who are out of jobs now.

Over the years I have seen some change on El Conde as the tourist police do more to try and rid the beggars and other riff-raff. I have stayed at Hotel Palacio in the Zona Colonial numerous times and have walked around the Zona Colonial day and night. At night large parts of the Zona Colonial are dead, many streets are practically deserted. There are tourists who will visit the cathedral and museums in Zona Colonial. I just don't know how many families with young children will go to the Zona Colonial for a vacation. Adults who want to see historical sites, I can see going to the Zona Colonial.

The new bar 360 in Zona Colonial, I doubt will half naked chicas leaning out the windows whistling to people who walk by. Seems like it will be appear to be a normal bar with chicas who hang out there (but who can be taken out). I would guess most tourists who walk by it, would have no clue.

Zona Colonial has some artist schools and some artists can be a little off beat, so you can see some off beat looking Dominicans walking around in Zona Colonial. Some people have told me that there are a lot of drugs in Zona Colonial, I never saw it. Really never saw any people who looked like heavy drug addicts in Zona Colonial. On some of the side streets in Zona Colonial there are some small bars, most I never went into. I drove by one park in the Zona Colonial at night and there was a large gathering of guys, seemed to me to be at least 90% guys, not sure if that is a gay hangout or what. Zona Colonial has a mix of things. If the new bar 360 in Zona Colonial, is somewhat discreet, they may not have a problem. From what I know it would be the only chica bar in Zona Colonial.

That is a fact. I have been in SD plenty of times and never once did I see a chica chaser walking down the street half drunk with a beer bottle in hand like you would see in Sosua. SD is for the laid back monger.

I sure hope the new bar works out. We can always use a new place within walking distance of the Zona and Gazcue. The big question will be the chica prices and the salida fee.

I plan to check the place out in two weeks. GDP is still one of my favorites for $1500RD in house. Guys don't forget them street walkers behind Jaragua Hotel/Casino will do ST for $1000RD. Of course they will say no at first. Just start walking away and 9 out of 10 will come running after you.

The club is called Bar 360 a little discreet place from the outside which is just what the owner wants, being in the colonial zone, he don't want the cops breaking his balls, so don't blow this up too big, no threads on DR1 (please) for example, could you imagine some of the posts. Yes folks they actually have sex in the colonial zone as if they didn't know. The bar is tucked between a colmado and a German owned hotel on Calle Meriño No. 360 Zona Colonial. As you walking east on el conde when you get to the el penaba hotel and restaurant the beginning of Parque Colon make the left and go up 3 and a half blocks on the west side of the street.

I went early just when it was opening because I had to meet another chica later that evening but I still wanted to check it out. The owner Glen is a Canadian Gentleman that speaks three languages, Spanish, English and I think either French or Italian. First impressions a real nice guy trying to make a go of it, I floated a few ideas about something we may be able to do in the future together if things can work out on my end. A nice setup, discreet (there's that word again) very important in the zone. From the outside you wouldn't have a clue what type of bar it is. When you look from the street it just looks like an extension of the hotel with a small foyer with a couch, but if you go through the next set of doors you find the bar, not overly huge but a nice size, bar seats about 10 at the bar, also with some comfortable sofas adorning the walls.

He is looking for business as he has just opened about a week ago, so no one really knows about it, he says that right now they have 10 chicas working a night. Like I said I was there early between 6:30 and 7:15 and I saw about 5. All very cute definitely doable, a couple looked like they would really be worth the ride. He opens at 6:00 and the girls arrive around 7:00 closes the normal times, but if he knows you maybe something can be arranged if you call in advance and let him know you will be stopping down.

I asked him about prices, remember this is a club so you won't get the colmado prices but they seemed reasonable to me for the type of club we are talking about (right in the ball park). 150 pesos for a beer (presidente), I think he said 250 or was it 300 pesos for a mix drink. Top shelf of course more. Again once he knows you and if you are a regular this can be adjusted. One thing I notice about this guy he said once he gets to know you any thing is available for discussion, just what I like to here. The girls he quoted 3500 pesos for the two hours, salida included again after he knows you maybe negotiable, so my advice is to get to know the motherfucker. The real interesting thing is that since they are connected to that German hotel that I mentioned earlier, he has keys in the bar area for rooms if you just want to go upstairs and take care of business, 500 pesos for the room, but as I said before, talk to the man. Another good thing about the hotel is because of the foyer no need to step outside if you like discretion, which they do there, entrance to the hotel without walking outside.

Again I was there for just a recon mission and not that long at all, the chicas were dressing so I didn't see them in all of their finery but definitely a few that I would do with out hesitation. Impressions good guy, give him a try, this club has a chance to be a real winner, and tell him Stew sent you, after our discussion I am sure he will try and do the right thing for you as I promised that I don't mind trying to help but he has to help the brother mongers as well.

I will definitely be going back in the next couple of weeks and because I am such a nice guy I will sample a few of the goodies and give my impressions of them. I know it is a sacrifice but somebody got to do it and I am just that kind of guy that is willing to take one for the team.

A little more on this club and the new owner, I think his prices are set up for the tourist crowd that frequent the zone, and also the reason for the ultimate discretion. Because he operates in a tourist spot, that the powers that be; prefer to give the impression that the place is pristine. Can't have sex out in the open with wives and kiddies running around all over the place, one good thing is; is that he is not directly on the el conde, so he is a little off the beaten path for most tourists. To me it is understandable he wouldn't want to attract to much attention, and so if someone just walks in they get the feel that they went into a regular bar that just happens to have a bunch of fine looking ladies sitting in the joint.

Secondly the prices as I said is for that tourist guy that wants to get away from the wife and kids and have a few private "man" moments if you know what I mean. When I used to be married and I went on those family vacations it would kill me seeing all the fine ass chicas running around and me having to be with the wife, so I couldn't sample any of the goodies. That guy doesn't mind paying a little more for the oppurtunity to let loose a little. Again if he sees you are a regular guy and frequents his place, or let him know you heard about it from here or from me, he may be more apt to work with you, because he knows he can expect more business from you.

That is why I have stressed to get to know the guy. He is not looking to give the store away, after all the rents in that area are sky high!! But I do believe he recognizes the value of a few real good and steady customers.

I personally have always been of the camp, that says "something is better than nothing", especially if the something is a somewhat consistent something. Again I can't speak for him, but just from talking to him, and that was only one time thus far, will stop again and talk some more to the guy, but in that one time I got the impression (just an impression mind you) the price you quoted before is doable, for the right guys.

As a matter of fact that is one of my main raps to the chicas, when negotiating and letting them know the price they asked for won't do, but if they take my price, this may become somewhat regular if I like the performance. I tell them "Algo es mejor que nada!!" The smart ones realize the logic of that statement, the dumb ones don't, and I simply move on and try and find someone a little bit smarter.

I don't know how smart this guy is, just met, him, but he seems like a business man, and I have found in my life and especially during my time in D.R. that everything is negotiable (or just about everything)

If the room is not needed, tell him, and insist on the price you want to pay. It will be their decision to accept it or not.

I am going to give him a link to this forum so he can read for himself what's going on. The good thing is if you keep telling him his "son" from the states is sending you guys to him, maybe we can arrange a special non-negotiation charge for our members.

On another note, I travel a lot for business and will be in Houston tomorrow. I can return home via SDQ (which I have in the past). I might be in DR this weekend.

I would imagine that your friend, the owner, needs to charge that much to cover overhead. That being the case he really needs to target the tourists and not the cheap guys here on ISG, myself being number one cheapo.

Landed in sdq 2:55 A.M., my luggage appeared at the baggage carousel around 3:50 AM. Withdrew some cash from an ATM machine near the restaurants in the airport (ground floor, near the exits). I had two unused claro cards from my last trip, used one to add minutes to my phone. My samsung cell phone with dominican phone number worked fine (It had been in a pair of pants that went into the washing machine, so it spent 20 minutes submerged in water, it still works).

Rented a compact car from alamo, chevrolet aeveo, good car. Maybe some other guys who drive in tropical locations, can shed some light on a problem, that I sometimes encounter while operating a vehicle here in dom rep. The guy at alamo started the car and put the air conditioner on. There was a slight rain when I entered the car. For whatever reason, occassionally the windshield has splotches. I have gotten out of the car and wiped down the windshield, but the splotches are still there. I find if I put the defroster set to a medium temperature this sometimes helps. With the air conditioning set to the coldest setting and put into defroster mode, this seems to create more condensation on the windshield and the splotches are there. During the day in the sun, the windshield is crystal clear. Maybe someone has some advice.

Exited the airport around 4:30am, a few taxi drivers there. I drove to the malecon. Drove by the Napolitano with its refurbished casino, some cars outside, drove by the melia and the coppa disco, saw around 5 girls and other people standing around outside. I decided to check it out. I made the next right off of the malecon, to circle back using avenida independencia. Saw a waiter I know at Manolos restaurant, Luis, older nice guy, speaks english. Across from Manolos near the bus stop three chicas where sitting or standing, one blondie dressed in a white mini dress called out looking for business. Working girls on Ave. Independencia, near the rear entrance for Jaragua at 5am.

Parked my car on the malecon near the driveway for the melia. All my luggage was in the car. Young guy came over and said he would watch the car. I gave him a small tip. The coppa disco has gotten larger, they now have a metal detector when you enter, I was told it was closing, so I didn't go in.

Drove the chica home around 10:30am, passed by the mega centro mall. Then drove to meet a gf chica who lives outside of santo domingo. My gf is sleeping under the covers as I write this. The airconditioner is blasting and I am sitting here in shorts and a t shirt, not cold enough for me to need a blanket. Some heavy rain here today with some strong winds. No complaints, enjoying myself, love it here. I'll continue to post and try to add some photos (I tried irfanview to resize photos, but irfanview makes the photos to small and I was unsuccessful in getting windows photo gallery to resize the photos, I am using a laptop with windows vista).

Hey Jaosousa, Always good to read your reports as I always enjoy them. You don't waste any time when you get to town!

I have the same problem with window splotches. I usually turn the defroster on high heat for a minute and everything clears right up.

Avenida Independencia behind Jaragua Hotel/Casino all the way to Pasteur has street walkers up until the sun comes up. 4 or 5 in the morning you will always find six or more chicas trying to make the last buck for the evening. RD$1000 will get you ST with no problem.

There is another cabana a few minutes before you get to the group of cabanas on the Malecon. The room rate is the same. I have a few pics, but like you I need to resize them first. Sure would be nice if ISG was able to automatically resize them when uploading.

A trick you can try, which I have done in a pinch, is to email yourself the photos. Depending on which email service you use your pictures will automatically be resized for email. Once you receive your emailed photos just save and post.

Keep everyone here posted and make sure you save me some chicas for next week..............

I tried Irfanview to resize photos, but Irfanview makes the photos to small and I was unsuccessful in getting Windows Photo Gallery to resize the photos, I am using a laptop with Windows Vista.
I am no cyber wiz, but I find this comment strange.

With Irfanview you have three options for resizing pictures.
1) You can go straight to one of five "standard" sizes
2) You can resize your picture as a percentage of the original
3) You can specify whatever height and width you want in pixels, in centimetres, or in inches.
What more do you need?

I don't think you can permanently resize pictures with Windows Photo Gallery but you can with Windows Office Picture Manager which comes with Windows Office if you have that on your laptop.

I stayed last night at coral costa caribe, 78 dollars per night, all inclusive hotel, using summervin promotion code on orbitz. Sexo sin condom with my novia, she is taking birth control pills. She is super tight, almost like having sex with a virgen.

I drove to catalonia gran dominicus today in bayahibe, it is after La Romana. Nice all inclusive hotel, they have prices of 125 per night for two on their webpage. Mostly people from Italy here in this hotel.

I really got buzzed drinking the vino tinto (red wine), Navarra (brand name) from Spain. Nice hotel, nice people, no complaints. I'll post some photos when I return to the States.

GBP sets the standard for discount P4P. LOL1500 is the top price for anyplace except the tourist trap clip joints on Pasteur. By the way, certain regular customers of those places pay 1500 or less, but that's another story.

You guys should push for discounts at the other massage parlors (the ones that are not on Pasteur) that are mentioned in this thread. Think 1000 to 1200. Especially when there is more than one guy from the same group taking girls at the same time. The Pasteur places will hold firm because of the demand that all the mentions on this board causes, but you can negotiate at GBP and the others. Tell them you don't have the money and they usually will meet you half way. At the very least, insist on a free drink if you pay full price.

Visited Bar 360 last night with another ISG member. Some cuties, some were thin, others were thick, some light skinned chicas. Owner is a cool guy. If you go and the door is locked, there is a buzzer (doorbell). Bar 360 is across the street from a small hotel called Abyta Hotel. I didn't take out any chicas from 360, but there were at least three chicas there that I liked. I'll stop in again.

FYI, I will be in town on the 7th of august until 15th or 16th of august. I stayed with her for about an hour before I drove to Santiago. When she was getting out of the car, I gave her 600 pesos. Money was never discussed and appeared to me that she was not expecting to get any money. I arrive in SD mid-afternoon.It's not nearly the first time and it certainly won't be the last time a guy swears off the country after being victimized by criminal scumbags. It tends to happen just as guys start to gain a little confidence at let their guard down. We should all learn a lesson. To quote Barack Obama, "I don't know all the facts" but it tends to boil down to being around anybody except the girls we pursue. That is when the problems happen. It helps to keep things simple by remembering the point of the exercise.. Getting laid often and well. That's not likely to happen when you are in the company of: taxistas, touts (aka "guides"), "nice guys" you meet around your hotel, etc. I try to keep the baggage to a bare minimum and focus on the girls. That's not a guarantee they don't try stuff themselves but let's face it we are much better positioned to protect ourselves from them than we are from some guy who has survived the prison system.

The deportees are a real problem and the subject gets a lot of attention in the local press every couple of years or so along with the standard newspaper reports of how many are forced to return every few months. It's amazing that Listin Diario has used the same photo of guys being escorted off a chartered business jet in handcuffs for at least 10 years that I can remember. Talk about a file foto. Anyway, a couple of red flags you may find helpful. The hairs on the back of your neck should stand up when some random guy approaches you and addresses you in English, especially the variety you would hear in a "scared straight" video: "you can't trust that motherfucker" or "I can get you some fine ass bitches" I hate to stereotype but you should not assume the goal of someone like that is to promote Dominican tourism. By the way, I have it on very good authority that more than a few of the "official tourist guides" who work the Colonial Zone are deportees with criminal records. Believe it or not, an earlier government decided giving them government IDs from the Tourism Ministry was a way to employ them and stop them preying on the Dominican public. Well, it worked, but now they prey on foreign tourists instead.

Be aware, be very aware.

Driving around today, I came upon another car accident, two dead bodies were hanging out of one mangled car, the mangled car was in the lane to my right, I saw the dead young guy and woman very clearly. Puts things into perspective. What happened to me last night was an annoyance. I lost no money, I may have misread the situation and over reacted. Sometimes it is better to walk away from certain chicas, if you are getting a weird vibe from them. I will do some things differently in the future, so that I will not be in that same situation again.

Still a fun place. I was shut out in Santiago, no sex (I had opportunities but passed on several), I had a fun time. Some very rich people in Santiago, I saw a bunch of chicas who reminded me of Rosalyn Sanchez. Saturday night was party night, seems everyone was out.

I'll post more details about last night shortly. What I learned is that I have to be careful what chicas I hang out with and there are some things that I will do differently in the future. "girlfriends", lol. Last I was there, a little under two years ago, he was hoping to land a hotel gig, which is middle class down there! May take him up on that my next trip in a couple weeks. Needless to say, they're all looking for a buck! I've never really seen kids sleeping in the street until I went to SD, I mean young kids. Fucked up, man. CR has guys sleeping in the streets, but not kids for Christ's sake.

Now I understand... it was my 1st time/1st day in SDQ, and i thought the guy who "stuck" to me in the Colonial Zone was just an average hustler with good english. He said he lived in Buffalo for 12 years, but had to leave because he had to pay alimony to 3 different women. Thin black dude, in mid-late 40s. Was wearing construction-type boots. I know it was stupid not to tell him to f**k off more forcefully from the very beginning. After saying "you pay me what you think is fair" for better part of 2 hours, he demanded $50 for his services. I told him he wouldn't make $50 after tax if he was a guide in the USA, let alone DR, but he persisted. Well, during the "tour" of the Zona I bought a couple of machetes and luckily found another shop where I had them sharpened.
So, the guy wanted $50, but I had 2 freshly sharpened "attitude adjustment devices." Don't know for sure, but that may have helped me to negotiate the "price" down to $20 and a few pesos....e I DO think $20-25 was a fair price for the services rendered.

Mental note for the next trip to DR: Tell every english-speaking "helper" to F**k off and insist that they do.

If you need to use a taxi to go on a casa run, get dropped off a block away, this saves the commission that you pay the taxi out of what they charge you.

But you will also find ex-pats, or some Dominicans who have learned the language through hard work (study), and aren't interested in ripping you off; etc. Who happen to live down there, I being one of them, and to say to stay away simply because someone speaks english, you may be giving the wrong impression. I for one have steered many in the correct direction on a variety of different topics, now if someone read what you said, and avoided me simply by virtue that I speak english, they would suffer not I, and there are many more like me.

The best advice is to treat everyone with some caution, until you can check them out and see what they are about, but that is common sense and should be utilized no matter where you are not just in the D.R.

I have met a bunch of chicas on the online dating sites. Some are pros, some are semi-pros and some are normal. What I have learned is that some of these chicas are not honest with the age they post on their profile on the sites. Some of the chicas on the dating sites are looking for a quick easy dollar from some foreign guy (maybe some of them are encouraged to do so, by their english speaking ex felon thug boyfriend).

I try to get to know the chicas, by chatting with them in messenger, before I invite them out for drinks. Chicas, that I have invited out for drinks, I will ask to see their cedula (government issued identification card). I have encountered a few who said that their cedula was stolen and they have shown me some non government issued identification card.

My absolute new rule is that I will not have drinks with any chica that does not have a government issued I.D. (cedula). I will not trust a chica that presents a non government issued Identification card.

I have no clue about whether fraudulent cedulas exist here and no clue about the prevalence of fraudulent non-government issued I.D. cards. The chicas who I want to spend time with, have to be, aged 18 and above. I have no desire to have drinks with a 17 year, who claims to be 19, and who has a non governmental issued I.D. card that says she is 19, and possibly during the course of the evening have an encounter with some thug who speaks english who says why I am having drinks with a 17 year old.

Just keep in mind that the most common way a Dominican or Haitian in the DR (male or female) gets fluent in English is to have made it to the US for awhile and gotten deported as a criminal. The easiest way for them to survive in the DR is scamming English speaking tourists. There are middle and upper class Dominicans who learn English in school and get tourist or business visas to the US but they wouldn't ordinarily have any interest in talking to you. Basically any Dominican who actively wants to talk to you and is fluent in English is probably not someone you want to deal with. It should at least raise a red flag.

I saw a few guys, maybe europeans or north americans flashing thousands of pesos in front of everybody in El Conde. It is not of common sense to do that. I usually have a petty cash on one pocket and an another ammount just in case I need it in another pocket. Cool Place. Calle Caonabo #10, Los Restauradores, Apartamento 402, Plaza Irene. When I left the place on Avenida Privada, I made a right onto Avenida 27 de febrero (going west). Calle Caonabo should be the next through street, make a right and then on your left you will see a plaza with space for at least 10 cars. Juan Dolio is a beach town about an hour from Santo Domingo. Coral Costa Caribe Hotel is a large all inclusive hotel in Juan Dolio, I stayed there recently with a girlfriend and paid 78 dollars per night for the room and all you can eat food and drink, also has free wifi.

I am sensing a certain amount of confusion about the now famous Bar 360. I will try to break it down.

All these places operate on basically the same formula. And not just in the Dominican Republic. When a customer walks in the door, whoever is in charges sizes that prospective customer up. Why? To determine what the potential "take" could be. Some customers present more of a challenge than others. Things like manner of dress, how the guy interacts with the girls, or something as simple as whether he says "Hi, I'm here for the world sex guide discount" all help the person in charge set a price and give the girl instructions on what class of service. If any. To provide.

What can you do to help yourself in these situations? More than anything, it's important to get very clear in your mind what services you can realistically expect and what you are willing to pay for it. Normally, you can expect a blow job and fuck for an average of 1, 500 pesos. That's the deal. All the rest is noise and bullshit. Yes, you can often negotiate a second pop for a small tip or if you are a repeat customer you will maybe get extra attention but the toda la noche and 2 hours vs. 4 hours is just marketing bullshit designed to get you to spend much more than the product is worth. There are variations. You can negotiate a price as low as 1, 000 by using the same tactics the houses use (I. E. "I only need 1 hour" or "I will be quick"). Think about it. What sense does it make to pay 2500 when you can do the same thing twice for 2000 to 3000? Of course if the house is convinced you are a one time walk in, your negotiating position is going to be much weaker. But, there is no reason to reveal that. I can't tell you how many times I've heard guys say to service providers "I'm just here for 1 week." Here are the questions that should alert you that you are being sized up for a price point: "when did you arrive in Santo Domingo? " "how long are you going to be here? " " have you been here before? " "is this your first time? " "where are you staying? " Ask yourself if there is any reason why any of this information is the business of a sex worker? THe answer is there is a reason. It is explained above.

I spoke to the owner and PM'd BQ. Nothing was said to the boss about this incident. I have made him aware of it and he thought (and I agree) that the customer should have said something right after the incident. He has rules in place for the girls to work there and I'm sure if she did nothing sexually in return for the money an arrangement could have been reached to help BQ out. I will be on-site thursday and friday of this week and will be working with the boss on a few things and I will make sure he reads our posts regarding this issue and I will confront the chica personally about what happened. I know BQ is nearby until the weekend, if he want's to stop by and discuss it with the boss I'm sure he will talk to him and work something out.

Like I said I'm buying a couple of rounds on Friday, this is not extended to Thursday as well. Just look for me in the bar after 7PM on either Thursday or Friday.

I'm making my first visit to DR after playing in COL a few times and have decided to visit SDQ. I'll be staying at Hotel Riazor. Although I have read the forum, I can't seem to find what current taxi fare should run from the airport to the hotel. Can anybody provide this info? Also, I won't be renting a car, so what should taxi fares run to get to the various venues in SDQ?

What a difference a pile of makeup, a loud stereo with crappy speakers, and a few bottles of watered down booze make. IMHO, they don't make enough difference to justify an extra 1, 000 pesos. Don't believe the hype of these bars!

P. S. I hope Bar 360 doesn't become another Girl House. I don't see it happening in that neighborhood. The locals and the police would never put up with the obnoxious "guides" and their drug dealing.

arrived sdq noon thursday 23rd. after getting luggage they have this long runway with people on both sides waiting. its the closest i'll get to being a celebrity. at the end of the runway i saw a guy holding an advertisement for gogo taxi. my stupid ass smiled thinking someone sent a taxi for me. the problem with that is no one knew when i was coming. passed gogo taxi and negoitiated a 35 dollar cab ride to palacio. i tried to write directions down, ocean on left, past naval academy. then he went thru this maze of one way, over the hill, do a you-turn streets. arrive palacio 1pm. great hotel, nice owner, courteous employees but the ancient desighn combined with modern technology is amazing. well worth 62 per night. went to el conde then the park to people watch.(damn i'm writing this as i travel metro sd-sos and all these fine chicks just got off in santiago, it looked like a fashion show leaving)anyway left the park and got a call from jaosousa. hooked up with him and he gave me the tour. stopped at 360, gdp, la prada, lapus etc. club 360 had ten girls mostly 7-9 in looks. cuba libre was 150 pesos, girls had great attitude and the owner was helpful. girls were quoting me 3000pesos tln, jazmine was my favorite she kept wearing my sunglasses and looked like j-lo. jaososua kept entertaining the girls with his latin dancing. we left 360 and went to gdp. six girls dressed in hula hula outfits. all were fine but it was an ok looking one playing the back. claudia, 6 feet in heels light skinned, great body but the lips seemed to mesmerize me. presidente beer was 100 pesos, claudia quoted me 5 mil pesos tln(what)then dropped to 4mil (what). jaosousa and i stayed an hour danced, drank and enjoyed the eye candy. then we went to eat and back to 360 for a refill. j and i hooked up with a couple new york boys and went to a club. it had a 300 pesos cover and it was packed. i asked a waitress where the ladies bathroom was, and she looked at me crazy and pointed left. see if the club is packed i post up outside the female rest room because they have to [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140), i see them coming and going. jaososua had a girl coming to meet him at the club, so this was my chance to street hunt around the jaragua casino limits. being a sosua veteran 3mil is not even in my vocabullary. my last sd trip i got a street walker with teachers glasses at 1am for 1500 pesos. i caught a cab to the girls house but fuck that place. i had a dead fish from there two years ago. walked past gh and hung a left at the corner. a fat chick walked up, smiled and introduced herself. her fat ass wanted 3mil on the streets. i walked another 200 yards and i couldn't believe my eyes. it was the teacher girl from two years ago. i asked her to stick out her tongue (she has a 6 inch tongue)and that verified it was her. she wanted 3mil tln so we exchanged numbers so she could be an option later. i walked another 1oo yard and i see a siloute in the darkness of this long haired beautiful from the back. when i get 10 feet from her she turns toward me and its a dude. i stumble as i change directions quickly. i go to la prada now this is where the night gets good. no cover, cuba libres 259 pesos, and girls everywhere. shit they even had a stripper pole that the girls were working hard. i started tipping the girls 100 pesos notes each. next thing i know i'm getting a double lap dance. i started buying them drinks and they said the price dropped to 3mil after midnight. so i went back to the streets and unknowingly walked right into lapus. i see three chicks dancing on the stage so i sit down. suddenly 7 chicks surround me, i say"estoy tranquillo"and all the sudden i got 14 titties in my vecinity. talking about being speechless. i pick maria, she says 3mil, then the dj says its 1am and they are closing. i'm ready to make a final counter offer when all the girls run in the back like they have a curfew. i leave lapus realizing i just struck out in santo domingo. so i called my teacher glasses girl, no answer. i quickly hop a cab to gdp, claudia is gone but she has other girls for 3-4 mil. at this point i'm like"fuck santo domingo"i'm going to catch the 7am metro for sosua. don't get me wrong i'm no cheepo, but over paying doesn't guarantee great service. i've had 1000 pesos girls that fuck me night and morning very well and i give 2500 for a job well done but la capital got game.

the only reason i say bar360 will be another girls house is the pricing structure. for me to shell out 2500 pesos st is a very rare thing. i usually top out at 1500. if a newbie staying in zona or a cruise ship dude is looking for p4p bar360 is the closest place to go. i think bar360 will do ok but it won't be getting many of the well informed isg members stopping by. if you are staying on the malecon or avenida independencia there are just too many other places to look for chicas. no way, just no way can i see anyone walking to bar360 at night or even in the day just to see what is available.

Was this the chica gorda you saw on avenida independencia? If so, she is worth every peso. I usally don't go for the chicas gorda but there was something about her pleasant personality I decided to take a chance with her. I will never regret my decision.

This cabana is located on the malecon, going west from the Malecon Center, about ten minutes. I spent the full four hours there, as I was tired from my flight and the chica whom I was with worked all night in a casino, we both fell asleep after sex. I was there from 6:30am till 10:30am.

I saw a sign for "La Pirata" Italian restaurant, I believe that is the name of the restaurant that sits on the water, this restaurant is close by the group of cabanas on the malecon.

There was a small sign on the flat screen television basically saying the television was hooked up to some security system, so don't try to steal it.

The walls to the bathroom are made from glass with a curtain for the door way. Not much privacy when I went to take a dump, but the chica was sleeping at that time.

Control panel for the lighting, air conditioning and music. This place had a curvy padded lounge chair type thing in lieu of the typical workout type sex apparatus.

Airport taxi guys are going to quote $40 dollars, but you can get a taxi as low as 900 pesos or $25, I have some #'s , you can also check on paginasamarillas.com.do and enter taxi in the Nombre (empresa o categoria) field.

Another option if you know your way around is to rent a car at the airport for one day. Return the car the next day on Avenida Independecia as most of the major rentals have offices in the city. Using the credit card insurance the cost will be $40 US plus you have the car to stock up the fridge.

As other members have stated, from the airport to hotel riazor, taxi cost from 25 to 40 dollars. Within easy walking distance of Riazor are lapsus, La Parada, casino girls in Jaragua and Melia, coppa disco in hotel melia, street chicas outside the melia, street chicas on Avenida Independencia, girl's house and sky house on Avenida Pasteur.

Baby Dolls and Foxys would be at least a ten minute walk from Riazor, by car it is less than 8 minutes. Being a foreigner you will pay more, I knew a girl who would take a taxi from Zona Oriental to meet me in front of Hotel V Centannario (over a 20 minute drive) and she would pay the taxi 200 pesos. If you have some basic spanish you can ask the price, before you get into the taxi. 200 pesos is about 5.55 in dollars. I wouldn't pay, no more than 200 pesos to go from Riazor to Baby Dolls. 200 pesos or less to go to Casa de Modelos from Riazor seems sufficient. I rent a car so I am no expert on taxi fares. The chica I knew would ask different drivers the price to drive her home to Zona Oriental, most would say no for 200 pesos, but she always found one that would do it for 200.

Another member previously posted a problem with a taxi driver named Luis. I know one taxi driver named Luis who waits outside the Hotel Melia and Coppa Disco every night, I am still not sure if it is the same Luis. You may want to skip any taxi drivers named Luis.

There is an old white haired skinny taxi driver that is outside the Hotel Melia and Coppa Disco every night. I had him take me to three casas late one night. He waited while I visited the three places. I had one beer in Casa Theresa and two beers in Casa Azul that night and just looked at the lineup at Casa Modelos, the taxi driver was with me for over an hour, he drove me back to my hotel near the malecon and I gave him 20 dollars, overpayed but he was a nice old guy.

If you speak any Spanish, go upstairs when you leave the customs area at the SDQ airport. Take the elevator to your left. Go outside at arrivals and ask the arriving taxistas for a ride back to town. They're not supposed to take you but business is business and you'll never have to pay more than $15-20.

Thanks in advance.Information on taxi fare from airport has been posted. The taxis in sdq have no meters, so the fare becomes a matter of the meeting of the minds (what the taxi driver is willing to accept and what you are willing to pay), locals who live there have a better idea of what a normal fare is, being tourists we are not in that loop.

From Riazor to bar 360 in zona colonial should be 200 pesos or less. Riazor to GBP should be around 200 pesos as well. Once you start going to the places that are not near Hotel Riazor, then you have to think about whether you want the taxi driver to wait. If you go to GBP in the day, probably no need for the taxi to wait, in the daytime there is a lot of traffic on Avenida 27 de Febrero and you should be able to find another taxi. If you visit any of these places and you don't have a taxi waiting for you, you can always ask a bartender, manager or one of the chicas to call a taxi for you. Casa theresa, casa azul and casa australia are at least 15 minutes from riazor. If you go at night it might be better to have the taxi wait for you. Same for Penthouse and coconut bar (on Ave. Privada).
