Not true, its higher than $1. 26, but the employer -must- pay up to the state min wage. It is an absolute floor.And here I thought the Captain knew everything. California minimum wage for tipped employees is $13.00 per hour. Period. No exceptions.
Some places get away from having to pay stripper / dancers by saying they are artistic performers and charge them for "stage time" for their performances.
Read somewhere that a lot of big businesses in Tijuana were paying off employees of the municipal water utility to short their water meter reads and billings and this had been going on for years. Now the government is going after these businesses for the underpaid water bills accumulated over many years. . . Think it was to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars lost to Tijuana municipality for these big businesses over many years. . . Have to think more discounts offered once world eventually opens fully back up and mongers that typically go elsewhere stop coming to TJ. I think the Dominican Republic is open up for travel and mongering now.

Smashing the water meter will delay the correct bill for a month or so. Bribing the meter readers delays the correct bills for up to 30 years till the meter reader retires! 30 Years is now up and Tijuana is looking to recover the underpaid water bills. . .

The anecdotal reports out of the US and some of the early data out of the UK look good. I'm expecting the world to fully re-open within the next 5-6 months, if not sooner.
We should have a pretty good idea what that's going to mean for the re-distribution of monger money for a bunch of these places sometime around late summer.
I don't expect HK or Cascadas to lower prices. If the market gets flooded with chicas going back to work, it's overall going to be good for all of us, though.

It seems 2021 had fewer guys in HK on weekends compared to previous years before CoVid hit. There were also fewer girls doing much less business this year. A lot of regulars have not come back. I did not see any indication of more SE Asia guys. There are many hot young girls just starting the business in HK, not making any money. Yeah, that's Cascadas 101. ALWAYS check as soon as you check in that there are 10 drinks in the fridge. One of the room attendants taught me that years ago. But to be fair in all my years of staying at Cascadas, there've always been 10 and they've never tried to cheat me. If you do happen to drink one (or a few) of the drinks from the fridge, one way to save a few bucks is to replace them yourself by buying them from the Oxxo across the street. They won't notice if you replace them with the same drinks you drank and the Oxxo is a bit cheaper than their price.

For instance from what I read, if you insist on just the room, no drinks, the price is not $30. Unless that's changed in last week or 2. To buy a girl or yourself a drink is terrible idea. That's part of what the $30/$50 deposit is for. It's a small see-through fridge. As far as I know, it's standard for even the "basic" rooms at Cascadas to have small refrigerators, even though I'm seeing that's not explicitly stated on the website. But I usually pay for just the "basic" room and have always gotten one.

Went to HK for the first-time last week. To my surprise, it exceeded my expectation. Just wow, there are so many 8's-9's girls out there. I think the room was too spacious for me. A regular master suite should be enough for the action. Took a shower to get ready and hopped to HK around 6 pm on Monday.

All of the girls I tried are from HK.
Went to sleep early and got back to SAN airport around 7:00 AM the next morning. Crossing the border on Tuesday morning around 6:00 AM was fast. I'll come back to HK more this year.

- I think I overspent quite a bit. It's likely because I got used to the inflated price in the Bay Area. After this trip, I reconsidered my plan whether I should stay in the Bay long term. I feel that more and more companies will offer remote work options in the future.

Definitely gets better with age. Like you wrote "rub one out" before session is the best insurance. And like you wrote "pull out" when you get that ejac feeling stop & change position. Changing position buys time for your body to get off the ejac phase.

Every room I've ever stayed in at Cascadas has had a fridge. That's part of what the $30/$50 deposit is for. It's a small see-through fridge. I take the trolley to the border every visit and have never experienced problems and there are enough cops that get on / off that I am sure serious trouble makers are discouraged.
I even took my family on the extended trolley line last week from UTC to old town and they loved it.
I plan to move to San Diego and one criteria I have is the house must be within walking distance of trolley.
I plan to rely on the trolley extensively.

I want to start carrying pepper spray in case but can't take into MEX. Short pointy pens easily concealed and able to pass thru MEX are great if need a quick defense (they not even know what just went through their eye socket into brain until too late). read this is only last ditch defense if absolutely necessary. Always best to flee flee flee if you can but locked on trolley may not be able to in time or aggressor has taken someone hostage and no police around.
It really really is so much safer to visit la zona and HK!

Oh yes it does even in the middle of the day with plenty of passengers. The ride is so scenic and pretty but after seeing your comment similar to my experience I won't sight see on Orange line anymore.
A few years back during the elections, the PRI was giving out free pepper spray to voters in Tijuana along with free training classes from the Tijuana policia. You can google the article if you read Spanish. I used to buy and bring pepper spray for $6 from Harbor Freight and give it out to favoritas in HK as well appreciated gifts. It goes without saying that the policia will try to intimidate you and shake you down if they catch you with it, but just tell them you got it from the PRI a few elections ago but didn't have time to go to their training class for using it. LOL.

I envy luck people of Socal who can go to this place on few hours notice and be back the same day. I live in Phoenix and have to travel 6 to 8 hours to get there. So I usually go for 2/3 days to make it worthwhile. I am (and Johnny too) very excited about the first day and first girl. As time passes and I am on my 4th or 5th girl I get more choosy and spend more frustrating time looking for right girl. Border by foot around 9:45 pm, I had pre-printed my FMM online & handed that to agent along with passport card. Works like a charm, no hassle or even questions, was through in less than 30 seconds. Walked to taxi stands & was hit up with offers of $10 to zona, held firm until $5 was accepted, 3rd taxi I asked LOL.
Took the pat down at door & walked through metal detector, there was no $5 entry fee for a beer attendant, that was surprising for a Sat night. It was busy, but not the right type of busy. Lots of dudes, not as many nudes!

Start at the border wall jetting out into the ocean, then walk past the first bunch restaurants to the coffee places, on the ocean, where you sit roof top and feel like you really got away. The drinks will be half what starbucks charges. Then you can eat soon after at the many restaurants but I wouldn't go all the way tobplayas and not sit in roof top cafe for half hour. The ocean is very close. They don't have something like this in San diego. Its very difficult to find a Starbucks with a bathroom or seats in San diego never mind a view of the pacific ocean. If you have a date, the Ensenada wine country can get you the nicest restaurants you've ever been in with meals drinks for both for under 40 dollars. If you have a date, the Ensenada wine country can get you the nicest restaurants you've ever been in with meals drinks for both for under 40 dollars. But I do not recommend wasting time going to Ensenada otherwise. Rosarito I don't recommend going at all. Theres nothing going on not already in playas. De tijauna. The uber to playas is 6 dollars if its not raining. Theres a bus for like a dollar too.Yeah I usually Uber to Playas for 6 or 7 bucks. Never tried the bus. I have taken the dollar bus (22.5 pesos) to Rosarito. That's a great deal. I like Rosarito personally. Beach is a bit better and cleaner than Tijuana (though nothing special necessarily) and Rosarito is more of a laid-back, pure beach town.
Never been to Ensenada. Is there a bus that goes down there, similar to the bus that goes to Rosarito? Would like to go at some point.

A real scam would be if they took your money or backpack and did not give you a receipt. I have had this happen to me in Tijuana and if you do not have a receipt, you will not get your stuff back, unlike in the USA. Yea, the room was pretty small and there's no way I would've missed the fridge. I bought the VIP card at check-in and they were able to find me a room despite no reservation. My room #634. I bought my beverages from oxxo, so didn't really bother me.As an FYI I just booked a "basic" room (Deluxe Single) at Cascadas for March. The message below, which I'd probably never noticed before, was part of my reservation confirmation:
"New Policy: In order to continue to provide better service the hotel has provided a mini bar in each room. You will incur a $30 deposit for Deluxe Single & Deluxe Double rooms, which will be completely refunded if no drinks are consumed. We appreciate your patronage and we're continuously striving to provide you a better experience. ".
Based on this message it does seem that all rooms are expected to have the mini bar (small fridge). Also, I'm seeing this exact message in my reservation confirmations going back to at least early 2019 so this has been the policy for at least a couple years now.

Fichas are now $10, and ST rooms are $30 (there seems to be debate on whether you get a drink with that or not), but that number has been consistently popping up here.

With their ridiculous $30 room rate it's even more justifiable to stand firm at 80 and bring up how youre already paying 30 alone for the room. If you're going to pay 100 she better be a 10 otherwise there's plenty of other girls that will gladly take 80.
If you go during the daytime you can even find some girls that will accept 50 or 60.

Was in HK Sunday night after 6 PM with a couple bros. HK had about 30 guys and 50 girls, relaxed, mellowed. Did not see too many hot girls. Raquel AKA Miranda was working with her straight blonde hair square cut down to her lower back. She was popular and was busy with guys buying her drinks and taking her upstairs.

There's a bunch of people selling undercover / hidden camera footage of inside the clubs these days. I can't imagine they are okay with this.Recently had the doorman ask me to remove the sunglasses in had just put in my coat pocket so he could inspect them. There should be no waiting line to cross back after 11 PM or so, week days or weekends.
My wingmen have been walking back about midnight, only a few people walked back at that hour and there was no wait time.
The HK and Tropical shuttles are running but not as frequently as before. I would rather pay $5 to the cabbies and get to HK quickly than waiting around for HK shuttle in that area.

Why the caution about using the HK limo in regards to carrying amount of cash?? Presumably any monger in the zona could have lots of cash. I figure HK limo is a safe bet not to get ripped off which may happen in 1 in 100 taxis.
I do always keep my on person cash under $1 k just to be safe.

Last time my wingman walked across at 6 AM Wednesday it took him 2 hours.
Anytime after 5 AM on weekdays may be unpredictable. You may be looking at 2 to 3 hours wait to cross without Global Entry or SENTRI.
You will need half hour to check out of the hotel and Taxi to the border, 2 hours to cross, 1 hour on a UBER to get to SAN airport, then about 2 hours to clear airport security, total 5.5 hours. Check out the hotel at 7:30 AM may be doable.

The graph also shows the time based on how long the line is. So the factor in, its a real line. It is not any kind of line. By the time you get through the line probably a 150 people cut in front of you besides sentri. There can be no line one minute, and 3 hour line in 25 minutes. Its really dependent on if they want people to wait in line or not.

Take bus 992 to airport.My credit card reimburses me for global entry, just been procrastinating as it requires an interview. The border wait time wasn't an issue at all. I also stay at cascadas on Mondays and Tuesdays as it's 70% off with the VIP card. Plenty of chicas to choose from, so don't really care for the weekends.
We flew into San Diego airport and took an uber to the border and walked across. Border agent took us to the office and told us we need the FMM card for entry and it's $35. I told him I read that it's not needed if it's less than a 7 day visit, but he said during Covid the rules don't apply. On the website it says $30, so he scammed us for an extra $5 but did not want to get into an argument with him as we just wanted to go to HK to have a good time. Took a $5 taxi ride from the Tijuana border to HK and got ourselves a master suite for $40/ night, it's way better than the standard room.

If that many girls died I would tend to chalk it up as deaths due to drug use not murders. Like BT stated in an earlier post. It would be hard to keep the media away from that many murders happening.

When my friend and I crossed the border from San Ysidro to Mexico there was no wait. We took a Lyft to the Burger King and then walked to the crossing from there.
The Mexican border patrol agent did ask us to pay $35 for the FMM but did not give us a hard time at all.
Once crossing we walked to where the taxis were and did not see the HK limo so we took a regular cab for $6.
Upon arrival we checked into Hotel Cascadas and each got a single room. We were provided with a receipt which can be used to get a refund on the deposit at checkout. They did scan our US Passports. Bring condoms. If you do not it's $4 - $5 per bag from the front desk consisting of one lube, one condom, and 2 mentos.
The rooms are much nicer than before and have everything you need. Hot water is not always available.
I would say the club has changed in terms of where the girls are from and how many there are. The quality is not as good as I would have expected but its not bad.
In the club it seems that the girls that are worth while are by the stairs. Sometimes you might be lucky with one on stage but not always.
I took one from the stage who was Russian and also from Dubai but only drank one drink and left.

Border agent took us to the office and told us we need the FMM card for entry and it's $35. I told him I read that it's not needed if it's less than a 7 day visit, but he said during Covid the rules don't apply. On the website it says $30, so he scammed us for an extra $5 but did not want to get into an argument with him as we just wanted to go to HK to have a good time. I doubt they ask people.My assumption has always been that they estimate it on the length of the line (which by proxy gives you a rough estimate of the number of people in line) combined with the number of lanes open. Those two factors combined with the pre-existing knowledge of the average amount of time it takes to process a single person through customs allows you to very roughly estimate the wait times. Asa pure guess I've always thought that's how they do it but I could be way off on that LOL. But my experience is that MOST of the time the estimated wait times are actually fairly reasonable. They can be way off sometimes but I've found (in my experience, can't speak for anyone else) the estimated wait times to be within a reasonable range the majority of the time.

I have not been stopped in the last 30 walks across. So I am assuming, they know, even if my 6 month pass expired, I could simply walk in for free on gringo line. In fact my pass expires in 2 weeks so if I am still in San Diego I have no intentions of buying a 6 month pass again.

Before CoVid, agents sometimes would ask pedestrians how long they waited, allegedly to find ways to speed up the lines, but estimate wait time in CBP's site is not updated frequently enough, is unreliable and a joke. Same for the car lanes.
Drove back 1 AM late Wednesday night, early Thursday morning. All SENTRI lanes were reduced down to 1 lane with half a dozen CBP agents standing in front of multiple layers of concrete barriers, with automatic weapons, drugs-sniffing dogs, spike sticks. The scene was very highly unusual for SENTRI lanes and was obvious that agents were waiting for some bad dudes.
Soon enough agents pulled over 2 consecutive cars in front of mine, had them park within the US territory, had a dog sniff all around and started their searches. They did not stop my car or other; looked like they found their targets. If there were any shooting, the whole area was packed with cars in line before the booths, but no pedestrians at that hour. It could be very bloody. I am guessing CBP is doing arrest out in the open, not in secondary inspection building, as desperate rogue smugglers could ram their cars through various lanes, even with blocking steel poles.
The CBP agent at the only SENTRI lane asked me if I had anything to declare and waved me through quickly.
I have seen a woman in her SUV in secondary inspection with her old mother and a bunch of children, babies. Apparently CBP found contrabands. The whole group was arrested and taken into the building. She and her old mother would be implicated if they found any controlled substance and face about 10 years in Club Fed. She would lose custody of her children after the sentence. It's sad how these people are stupid enough to risk 10 years in prison just to make a little money.

The bad thing is that the chica network is highly unreliable and the gossip is filled with half truths. If that many girls died I would tend to chalk it up as deaths due to drug use not murders. Like BT stated in an earlier post. It would be hard to keep the media away from that many murders happening.

The only times I've been brought to the back to pay the $30 bribe was a couple of times back in 2020 when I tried to cross with an expired passport. But the ability to cross the border with a bribe does get me wondering sometimes about how a fugitive from the law might be able to take advantage of that. Suppose you've killed someone in the USA, there's a warrant out for your arrest, and you're trying to flee to Mexico. If you have a passport you wouldn't want to use that to cross the border because it might get flagged when they scan it. But it seems you might be able to walk up to Mexican customs as a fugitive with just a driver's license or other state ID (which I don't think they even have the ability to check) or no ID at all. As long as you're willing to pay the bribe you should be good to go and are pretty much home free once you set foot in Mexico.

I asked her what to tell her family if something like that happened to her and she said to tell them the truth. The only other person that knows the truth is her aunt that told her about HK. Yeah, some of the girls in group chat even questioned if the numbers were real until their friends started a collection for their families. Did you both have valid passports and printed out FMMs? The only times I've been brought to the back to pay the $30 bribe was a couple of times back in 2020 when I tried to cross with an expired passport. But it seems you might be able to walk up to Mexican customs as a fugitive with just a driver's license or other state ID (which I don't think they even have the ability to check) or no ID at all. 1. A good 20-40% of them are not that attractive.
2. Some really attractive ones have an obvious bad attitude.
2 b. Some might as well just be "Americanized" with the attitudes they have.
3. The club even with expansions is too small for a large crowd.
4. The waiters & drink program is not at all cheap.
5. Readily available options for cheaper or more elaborate fun are not available.
6. I don't think most girls are open or skilled in certain sexual things.
I really don't believe there is not a better club in the whole world than HK? What about a club in Mexico City. Mexico's largest city. What about the clubs in Colombia or Brazil. What German Sauna or FKK clubs? What about the places in Pattaya?

Not sure how all it transpired over 15 hours but if someone ODed and was discovered early enough life saving meds could have been administered soon enough. Thinking HK did not intentionally fail to follow up but unfortunately too much time had passed before they realized / caught it. Very sad.

Cascada is not 5-star on US scale, may be about 2-star, but it's unfair to call it a shithole.
It's a very good hotel for mongers. There are no other better, more convenient, more comfortable hotels in La Zona where you can take hot HK and street girls to party and have sex, perhaps except Rizzo de Oro. Got to admit the single rooms are small and feel claustrophobic for long stay, just get doubles or master suites for more room.
I have not gotten early knocks in ST. Took a hot street girl in $7ST room last Sunday night, room was nice, clean, smelling good, sexy with that red mood ring light on the ceiling. The room attendant even brought an extra set of towels and bed sheets. We had a long, sweaty, exhaustive session with no knocks. When I left she was still in the room washing up. HK and the area on the side called Chavelas is now back to being full of woman. Similar amount as 3 weeks before xmass when it was full of woman. Not a lot guys at 10 to 11 pm. She's still insisting that the Facebook link is the girl from room 404. Couple guys can share a room in Cascada if they have the white wrist band put on them by reception. Cascada checks for guests that way. Just take it off and tape it on the next guy.
But Cascada is inconsistent with this wrist band. Sometimes they do it, sometimes they don't. I have taken girls to my room many times without the wristband. Reception would ask what room you are going to, sometimes they would not.
Rizo is a lot more lac. I never had any wristband there. Anybody can come and go.
