I think tantra is better and cheaper than energy. Fewer choices but usually good enough.I added Tantra to my list. Is that enough to keep me busy for a week.
Last night take uber around 21.00 am from my apartament at pablado to el centro clubs start from barra ejecutiva and walk all the way to taberna victoria.

If I was interested in a particular apartment at the blux I would just ask the owner what his policy is on guests in the apartment.

Bascially what happened at blux was too many parties and cops being called and domestic violence. The people that live in the building had a meeting and now it became strict.

I'll be visiting Medellin soon and I can't decide if I should stay at Blux or the Mansion. I've been to the Mansion before so I have a few chicas contacts. My question is the safety. How safe is it at Blux Apartments and can I come in and out with different girls? Also, how far is Blux from the Mansion? Let me start by saying I am no expert, and still many many trips behind lots of guys.
I see these questions a lot and what I hope newbies realize is it varies greatly depending on you.
1) I am sure there are some guys that get in a cab and show there map directly to the cabbie and take it to the front door. I personally like to be a little more discreet. I usually grab a taxi and tell them "el centro", "San Juan y Oriental". Then for the day I use the bright colored yellow bricks that divide the traffic has my reference point for the day. After a day or 2 you will figure out how to find a handful of casas from this area. You can also catch a taxi or bus from this area easy.
2) I honestly don't know where else you would take a street walker. Short term hotels are all over the place. Yes it is safe, is it safe for you that is the question. If you have never been to centro, don't speak Spanish, and have all these safety questions I don't see you making this happen this trip.
3) I have never felt any danger in a casa, that would be bad for business. Some casas have a more chill environment than others. I personally couldn't imagine hanging out in new life after my session for another but there are other casas that have little bars or TVs where it is a more laid back atmosphere. But there are little shops and cafes all over the place. You can not walk a block without passing a Pan shop or some place to grab a bit and recover.
4) Most of these casas are on little side roads, I have never seen taxis waiting outside. Again, respect the locals and keep it discreet as possible. But short walk to a main road will find you plenty of taxis.
5) Centro safety, I personally have never felt in danger in centro and I don't speak Spanish and I am not a tough guy. I do walk with a purpose, walk like I know where I am going and I don't pull my cell out in public. If I need to use my phone I step into a farmicia or cafe or something like that. I basically don't do anything to draw extra attention to myself and act like I have a business being there. Now there probably are some clueless guys that should never be there. Is that you? I do not know. I will say as you notice the shops and vendors closing up shop you shouldn't still be there unless you know where you are going or plan on using a taxi. At this hour your options are pretty much only strip clubs or sw anyway.

After sundown it starts to get sketchier. You can stay in the strip clubs till they close if you want and cab between them although Barra Ejectiva and Maracaibo are about 50 ft apart and Conejitas is about 2 & 1/2 blocks from those 2 but the block around Conejitas get scarier the later it gets.
Another late night option where you can hang out for multiple sessions and where they will call taxis for you, and where most taxis won't need an address or directions: Luna Lunera.

I would give the cabbie the address and cab right to the 1st one. If the neighborhood looks OK walk to the next one if it is close but cabs are cheap. During the day those areas are generally ok.

Yes, have done so on multiple occasions. You will be safer off the street with her then wandering around on the street.

There has been a change in a majority of the short term rental market (air bnb) in Med. Bascially what happened at blux was too many parties and cops being called and domestic violence. The people that live in the building had a meeting and now it became strict.
I think its a game of cat and mouse.
Personally I think Blux is like tooo gringo and you get a girl that has been there 100 x before and is almost like a robot going thru the motions. I get the safety factor but places like laurles and belen even offer a more normal setting. Yes it is still CO but you know how it goes.
I think the crack down will contiune until some people get paid off. It's ok really, let those animals that cause a ruckas do it at hotels and not in nice apartments living with other locals.I have been looking more toward Envigado and Laureles, but have stayed with what I like because my stays have been limited to 7-10 days, and the Blux fit those needs perfectly. Now that I am retired, I am hopeful to be able to spend a month or more each time I visit, so that will require me to pursue lower cost alternatives. I am less interested in new girls, generally sticking with a tried and true stable of amigas that never cease to show me a good time. Plus at my age, a 3 per day chica diet is no longer affordable, nor do I have the energy for more than a couple per week. LOL.

As mentioned, I prefer a building that has on-site security, but would consider other options if they severely limit access to the building, like a locked entry door with unit buzzer and neighbors that give a damn about who is allowed entry to the building. I am pretty low profile when I visit from the indoor party standpoint, but from time to time have had as many as 3 different girls over in a single day for multiple days in a row. The Blux fit my needs to do that, and to have a quality and safe stay with a swimming pool. The number of daily guests will be far more limited on my retirement income, so that is an area I have less concern about in the future. But having a balcony and swimming pool is essential for me. Looking forward to experience of spending 1-2 months at a time, in MDE. Hope I can start that leg of my journey very soon.
Since I have just retired, I am considering differing lengths of stay that do not exceed the annual limit of a tourist visa. So 6 months, either broken up into 1, 2 or 3 different trips. I think the Hotel Deseros right next door is a short term or would be cheap anyway.

Thanks.I like to use apartments I rent on airbnb. No problems bringing chicks back so far. The key is to rent from corporations and people with a lots of listings--they're less likely to give a shite if you're using their place as a love pad. If you're unsure just ask if they allow visitors.

Your options for limiting commute time are web sites and agencies that do outcall if you are going to be in Poblado. What other place can you get a free or $20 item and receive a return of $160 US dollars. I have had no loss in Medellin at all. When I go home, and I go home frequently, I will be home again by the end of April and I just left. I take myself home, greet my in-laws and my girlfriend and go to my room and upload my computer and still conduct US business from my home. The internet is great and the entire apartment has wifi and I installed extra routers throughout the apartment. I can still go out and look for girls if I choose to do so. Took a taxi from casino to Barraejective at date above around 11 pm or so. I just spent days in Bogota walking around Santa Fe and the club's out there. Often Colombians will omit the last 3 zeros when talking about prices. So 150 is usually 150 k pesos. This might be the problem when guys are saying a girl asked for 200 or 300 dollars.

So the Energy price doubled in 10 years while the price of Centro casas increased only by 50 percent. Yes it is a good place though.
Energy was 150,000 pesos 1/ HR. Must of been a dozen or so girls sometime at sundown. Youu have to pay for water / drink and it's extremely cheap. (Not sure if mandatory).

Once again, thanks for all the info.I frequently use Instagram to contact Sairabel and Dulce & Tiffany, they use other names on Instagram but they gave me the names when we met. Its extremely helpful, but nothing is like whatsapp, it allows you to see the person you're taking to with clarity, especially if they are on WiFi in Colombia, all the social media apps are greatly used in Colombia but those are the two that I use the most. I think but am not 100% sure, the take out fee to leave with a girl at Fase is 150 k. Then you have to make the TLN (toda la noche IE all night) deal with the girl, figure 400 to 800 k for a Fase girl. So somewhere between 550 k to 950 k not including whatever you spend at the club on drinks. (110 k min for a table, cheaper at bar).
The Centro Clubs have a 50 to 60 k takeout fee and I have made TLN deals from 225 k to 300 k, so 275 k to 360 k plus whatever you spend on drinks at 10 k a pop.
With the Fase girls I do the 190 k deal on property (they do have nice rooms) and see how much fun the girl is then get her number and make a deal on her on night off or before she goes to work.

I saw a woman get punched and her phone stolen by a guy who then ran away and people around were kinda chasing him (not really), but he got away. I felt like I was going to get robbed or bothered at least. Don't get lost here. There isn't much police around and they are always in a group.

Just got back from a short trip to MDE. I have been traveling to Colombia for 12 years and was married to a Colombiana for 9 years. The past two years I have gone to MDE at least once a month. All of this just to provide context. I'm not new to MDE.
Anyway, I met a chica friend of mine this past Monday afternoon for lunch. We were going to the mall to eat at Mundo Verde, but changed the plans to Parque Lleras. I am not a huge Parque Lleras fan. I do go there for dinner on occasion, but I never go there to party or pick up putas. Anyway, it's almost 5 pm And we finished having late lunch and talking. The girl is a prepago, but I only see her these days as a friend. We went to eat at Basilica, which is right on the boarder of the actual park. After lunch, her mother, who works close to the park, joined us so she and the girl could go home in a taxi together. So I am walking down the street with my chica friend and her mom and we get stopped by 4 cops. They ask for ID and start hassling both me and the two ladies about them being prostitutes and how we were "disrespecting the park. " As soon as I saw the cops, I knew I was screwed. So when I gave the copy my license and told him my passport was in my apartment, he was not amused (of course, this WAS my fault and I know it). He and his three cop friends frisked me and the two ladies, obviously looking for drugs. And of course they found nothing. But they were really rude to me and the two ladies. I really did not care about what they said to me, but I really felt bad for them. As they had done nothing wrong. Simply walking from a restaurant to get a taxi and go home. The cops were very insulting. Because in Colombia, these barrio people get no respect and seem to have few rights.
As much as the lead cop was a total prick, he did let me go. He kept my license and told me to go get my passport and bring it back. Which I did later that night. Funny thing is that when I returned on Monday night, the park was still dead, but I could not find the cops. I walked around for 10-15 minutes. In that time, I got propositioned 5 different times! So much for the cops trying to keep the parked "respected"! Since prostitution is legal, I guess the only thing they can do is hassle the gringos and any chicas with them. Hoping they'll go away. I finally found the cop. He checked my passport against some database and then gave me back my passport and license. He was still berating me and rolling his eyes at me. As he told his new cop friend the whole story. I just smiled and said "feliz noche" as I headed for my cab.
In summary, it was my fault. I know better and I've gotten sloppy because of the frequency of my visits, my lack of prior problems, and where I now stay. But I post this for the benefit of the newer guys. The ones who don't just frequent centro, but who seem to like to go to Lleras. Do yourself a favor. Carry a copy of your passport with the exit stamp. It could have been worse for me. I got lucky. If you are in the parque and with a chica, there is a good chance you'll be stopped. I was in the parque alone one time to eat and was handed a pamphlet about prostitution written in English. We are targets of the cops, so don't give them any reason to screw with you. No drugs in your pockets. Since prostitution is legal, nothing the cops can do about that. They will hassle you, but can do nothing as long as you keep clean and carry the appropriate ID.
Good think I don't give a shit about Lleras. In no hurry to return. And if I do, you can bet I'll have my passport. I'm sure that cop will remember me and stop me in a heartbeat.

If someone wants ID to go with a credit card, I have always used my driver's license. So when I gave the copy my license and told him my passport was in my apartment, he was not amused (of course, this WAS my fault and I know it). He and his three cop friends frisked me and the two ladies, obviously looking for drugs. And of course they found nothing. But they were really rude to me and the two ladies. I really did not care about what they said to me, but I really felt bad for them. As they had done nothing wrong. Simply walking from a restaurant to get a taxi and go home. The cops were very insulting. I got stopped once at a checkpoint at 2 in the morning on Calle 10 in front of EXITO. I'm sorry to read about your unpleasant experience. I'm extra lucky I guess. I never carry a passport or copy of a passport. I've never had to present a passport anywhere other than at the check desk of a hotel or of course at immigration in the airport. Once I tried to change money in Oviedo Mall and the clerk ask to see my passport. I just went to a nearby ATM instead. Maybe I look so sketchy the police don't want to talk to me. I see quite a lot of them around Lleras. I also notice them stopping people regularly.
I think I'm confused why a simple "we were having lunch" wouldn't have cleared it all up. I'm missing something.

I see no downside in having a copy of the passport on you. I used to keep one in my suitcase but I stopped years ago. I have a US global entry card in my wallet. That might not do since it does not have a passport number, only the trusted traveler number. If searched, no drugs would be found on me but a condom or two is likely to be in the mix. Colombia is relatively tolerant of the game when it's played quietly and when it's contained in marginal zones like Centro and Mayorista. You don't see "no to sex tourism" signage in those areas. Went in around 1130 am. A lot of ladies to choose from, from 5's all the way to 10's. Picked a petite with gorgeous body (Maria Jose 23 yrs). Before Quaaludes barbiturates were used but were too powerful and really drugged people out. Quaaludes came a long and was the equivalent of say 3 martinis, a very positive high. I don't recall anyone becoming addicted to them but they became very popular and the government stopped their production. No more Quaaludes. There was a bootlegged version that wasn't bad but they went bye bye as well.

This whole mongering business in MDE is out of control. Years ago you could go to many places, and find good value. Now social media is jacking up prices. I see guys hooking up, and paying 200 K to 300 K for girls you could of got in Mayorista or the Centro strip clubs for a decent price. A lot of these girls are not stupid. They sit by their PC and pick, and choose who they want to go with. Then they want taxi money when in the past they would go to their work area using the Metro.

I have a photocopy of my passport on me as well as pictures of my passport on my phone.

Mayorista I don't know about, maybe they get more gringos but not the 2 times I was there. I've been through Vera Cruz and Raudal over 50 times in the last year and never see any tourists (and I don't blame them, it is a risky area for newbies) and have always been quoted 30 k by the VeraCruz and 50+- by the Raudal chicks.

Europeans don't get out of hand with their money. And it shows in practice / Let's look across the Caribbean for an interesting scenario.
Things were cheap in Boca Chica when I was there last year, while people on the Sosua and Santo Domingo forums were complaining about prices getting out of hand in Sosua. Why is that? Well, Boca Chica is dominated by European tourists, who are cheapskates in comparison to Americans. Contrary to what the media would like you to believe, Americans can be very well liked abroad because they tip and Europeans don't (I won't even bring up Chinese tourists into the conversation). Part of it is our generosity and our tendency to tip. But, Europeans don't believe in tipping and they don't worry about looking cheap even if they are well off. Who would they be trying to impress? Someone they would never see again? Americans sometimes don't seem to get that.
Same situation seems to apply on Bali. As I recently posted on that forum, Kuta is a shithole populated by hustlers preying on the dominate Australian tourist element, who also seem to have a problem with loose wallets. Some tossers on these forums, typically Americans, like to take jabs at the Australians, without realizing there isn't that much difference between us and them (except Americans are fatter). But, I digress. After trying to get laid in Kuta I only came across ripoffs like 1. 5 Mil Rupiahs for a handjob in a vacant office space. After two nights of that bullshit, I made it over to Sanur, a quieter beach resort town known to favored by Europeans. Now, the X-houses of Sanur cater to the locals but some of the girls will service the "bule" tourists. I do know there is a different level of pricing exists for the locals and the bule, and you have to haggle to get a fair price. But, in the end I got a pretty, slim, young Asian girl give me excellent service (better than anything I got in Medellin) for 300 k. Europeans who spend their holiday there in Sanur, aren't throwing money around recklessly and as a result not one girl asked for a tip. Though I did give a very modest tip to two of them for service above and beyond, better than any I had in Thailand or Colombia, and certainly better than the DR. I also wanted to see them again. They were both surprised and delighted at the gratuity, you'd think it was their birthday.
What a difference 5 miles can make, but then again the you have a different set of "bule" in Sanur and Kuta. And as a result the markup for the foreigner and the service level is completely different. Is Medellin at that point, now? How long til the scammers and the real criminals take total advantage of this, and ruin it for everyone? Americans need to tighten up their wallets!

This whole mongering business in MDE is out of control. Years ago you could go to many places, and find good value. Now social media is jacking up prices. I see guys hooking up, and paying 200 K to 300 K for girls you could of got in Mayorista or the Centro strip clubs for a decent price. A lot of these girls are not stupid. They sit by their PC and pick, and choose who they want to go with. Then they want taxi money when in the past they would go to their work area using the Metro.

How about giving out some usual advice to the board about how to make you money go further. Take wolf for example, my first time in Medellin, I learned a lot from Wolf. I watched how he moved, how he interacted with people and how people responded. I notice that whenever we went out, he kept a wad of 2 mil pesos. When we were in the clubs he kept a wad of 2 mil pesos, everywhere we went, he kept a wad of 2 mil pesos. I noticed how grateful the streetwalkers, bums, door attendants were when he passed out these 2 mil pesos. Went back and did my math, yep, he was giving out about $0. 70 cents. Now we are on the board talking about how Americans drive up the price of everything.
The average Colombian monthly salary in Medellin is $350 US and they are living quite well off of that. No need in being a scrooge because you can. $300 k-$500 K will get nearly anything done in Medellin from what I have seen. If a $100 US a day to bang 2 to 3 dime pieces is too much, honestly you shouldn't be mongering. Each man has his own method of spending money. From my travels to Europe, the Brits and others are not as well liked as you make them to be, plus they have a crappy "You need Us" attitude. I wouldn't be following a European way of life in least bit, but to each his or her own. Safety first, use this board and find people with reliable contacts. Not so much a dual pricing structure all the girls would adopt but what some girls will try to get out of the foreigners. When I'm given a price of 50 K I just kind of laugh and politely tell the girls it's way to much as I have been quoted as low as 15 K. Additionally when the high quoting Chicas find out that I know they are asking for more than double and insist on going to the room I say no thanks as a session with them would probably not be any good. My guess is that probably 99% or more of these street girls customers are locals hence a dual pricing structure such as in other places of the world I believe will not develop there except for the few Chicas smart enough to solicit for more money. I also observed a Chica the other day on the backside of the church who was an overweight fugly barking out the words translated from Spanish to English "Love 15 thousand" this was the first time I had heard a Chica shouting out a price to get fucked.
Unless in the tourist area, NEVER EVER feel obliged to TIP. Locals don't, it is not expected. Only do so if you think there is a chance you will repeat the service and you want to cement some good will.

The girls will almost always quote a foreigner a higher offer than a local. Especially in places where the locals are known to be cheap (like Buenos Aires) and the foreigners are getting great exchange rates (so a few extra bucks doesn't make much of a difference to them).
Let's face it, if you've got the money to fly to a far off location and stay in a nice hotel, and you see a beautiful woman you want to be with, you aren't as inclined to negotiate her down to rock bottom, when the little head starts to do the thinking.

I always like the girls to be happy with the arrangement, it usually brings better service in my opinion. That being said, I have seen the prices climb in Medellin. I was texting a chica this week getting ready for my up coming trip. Beautiful 21 year old I found last year. Now she is asking for $600 K for 1 1/2 hours. Doubled from a year ago. She must have gotten really spoiled by someone. I don't mind spending a little more to get what I want, but I won't get ridiculous.
