Very simple to find smackdown especially if you are familiar with the kuta bugar/Bali spa joints. Wow... why did you make it so hard for yourself? If you were staying in Kuta, there are a ton of women available. Bali is experiencing a rabies outbreak that has caused 78 reported deaths the past two years. I'm back on the island and have been on and off throughout this so-called rabies outbreak.
The jury is very much out on whether all those deaths could be attributed to rabies. The pathology lab at Sanglah Hospital, which, in my job I have extended and on-going dealings with, is hardly CSI. Most of the time they could not find their ass with both hands.
The outbreak was allegedly traced to a single dog in Ungasan (village near the Jimbaran fish restaurants) which allegedly came ashore from a Lombok fishing boat. Then over the following months literally thousands of people were bitten by allegedly "rabid" dogs and got inoculated.
But if you're planning to visit Bali, never fear. The reality right now is this:
Bali is not awash with slavering dogs. The chance of getting bitten is minimal.
If you should be unfortunate enough to be bitten, rabies vaccine is widely available at pharmacies and private hospitals but is in short supply (like everything else) at government clinics and hospitals.
This is due to incompetence in ordering the stuff. Indonesians never re-order things until they are completely finished despite the fact they know that it could be several weeks before the order gets processed in Jakarta or wherever and is eventually shipped to Bali.
Another media/government beat up is the Australian government issuing a travel warning its nationals about a "taxi war" in Bali.
The mind boggles.
The reality is that a number of Balinese taxi companies are pissed off with Bluebird Taxis because Bluebird are clean, know where they are going (mostly) are honest and always use the meter.
These other taxi companies think that this is a bad example and unfair competition. Tourists, these other companies believe, are merely walking ATMs, and are put on the island purely for the fleecing.
So they had a rally, and shouted a lot, and put a few dents in any Bluebirds which were foolish enough to be in the vicinity.
If only all wars were like this.
The other interesting pronouncement from the "force the tourists to empty their wallets" brigade came from a Congressman from the Candi Dasa area.
He wants a law passed that makes it illegal for tourists to stay in rental villas in the area, many of which were foreign owned or designed. Instead they would be obliged to stay in locally-owned establishments.
He was unswayed when told that tourists preferred the foreign owned places because they provided facilities and an environment that tourists actually wanted ie, spacious, airy, clean rooms, nice views and professional staff. Rather than the gloomy, windowless boxes oriented to the main road rather than the coast, which typify the local offerings.
I think most Balinese would prefer us not to come at all. They'd rather we stayed home and just sent the money.

After seeing many reports I had some free time so I went and tried Angels near the big roundabout about two doors down from the sobek office in Kuta
I walked in and many girls. I chose a young one called Eva who later in broken english said she was 18.
You are right the rooms are very bare but better than a lot I have seen.

Devi, I havent been to the houses in Sanur for a while, but like everywhere else, YMMV. You might connect well with a girl who will take her time with you, or you might get a clock watcher. Usually, within 5 minutes of you busting your nut, your ST is over. So drag it out if you can, promise her a tip (not too much, 30-50 max) if she is nice and makes you happy, tell her you will come back and see her if you are happy, etc.

Cops don't speak Japanese, he doesn't speak Indonesian, and his English is minimal too. He's ignored, no translator, no interrogation, just held in the public cell with a dozen or so other prisoners for a week or more.
Finally one of the other prisoners gets a visitor who happens to recognize the Japanese and contacts his consulate.
Long story short.... diplomats force the cops to take him to court where, to his mystification he is charged with failure to pay staff wages. He has a Japanese translator now.
The first witness he vaguely recognizes as a local villager. The public prosecutor asks if he employed this man as a gardener four months earlier.
The penny drops... yes he did give this man a job, he agrees.
"And since then you have not paid him any wages?" the prosecutor questions, "four whole months and not a single rupiah! This is a very serious offense as it demonstrates foreigners exploiting Balinese."
"That's true," replies the Japanese, "I have paid him nothing."
The gardener lifts his arms in triumph, feeling sure he has won the case and will get compensation plus the lost wages. The judges all look stern.
"Why is that? Why do you foreigners think you can ignore Indonesian law and not pay your staff according to regulations?" the prosecutor thunders.
"Because this man has never ever turned up for work," says the Japanese, "Not even once."

Some place allow up to 2hrs if the nite is slow. This happened several times during my last visit. I had finished with the lady (took about 30min) then we both fell asleep and finally someone knocked on the door--total time in room was 2hrs.

Haha, when was last time you were in Seminyak? get ready for some serious culture shock. sleepy village, it ain't.
Shops, restaurants (jl Leksman), bars, (jl Dyana Pura and ll Nakula, also known as jl 66). It's all there.
Kuta is a maze of small streets, with just too much of everything, and worse traffic than BKK at rush hour.
Sanur is good for 1 thing, and that is the X houses. (search here for a map). Otherwise, it is a sleepy litte village with families on holiday.

Boshe is actually owned by the original owner of Blue Eyes. Bit of a coincidence that Blue Eyes gets raided about the same time Boshe opened. The club is great but will be mainly for locals and not many p4p

Firstly the new Boshe club looks immense I hope to check it out on the weekend and will post a report. Any info on entry fee, the best time/night to go there?
Secondly Wahoowit Star Bugar is very easy to find. Sister to the Kuta Bugar in kuta next to the roundabout the Star B. Is located on Sunset road if you take the bypass up sunset towards seminyak you will come to a huge junction with 5 roads (the bypass, jalan nakula, jalan dewi sri and so on) its just a few metres past the junction on your left next door to Om India restaurant (another way is take the double 6 street from the beach go straight til you get to the lights at the junction and turn left for 30 seconds)
I havn't been there in over a year but from what I remember it's 50k for 1 hour full body in the basic room (curtained off) 100. 150k for HJ and BJ.

I had to go to Sanur this morning, and after reading Wahoowhit's report below, I had to see for my self. I believe I found the place, of course, at 11.00 in the morning, everything was closed and locked up tight.
There is a parking area for about 10 cars, pictured here, and I walked into a small alleyway, turned right, and saw what is in the second pic. Wahoowit no not a misprint. Behind circle K is the fishbowl and the next block is a carpark with a door that opens onto a courtyard with usually 15-20 girls sitting around and rooms adjoining (not fishbowl because there's no window glass etc)
The second fleapit is located as follows. As soon as you come to the end of jalan danau poso that joins the bypass you naturally have to turn left towards kuta. Well don't turn but instead drive right over the bypass (carefully haha) and enter the road literally just 20 metres on your right you will see a small car park as correctly photographed by Mr 1Ball. Park by the wall and go down the alley and then to your right you will see the scene in 1Balls 2nd photo.
1Ball I have never been there so early but have had plenty of afternoon sessions there (3, 4 pm etc) always a few to choose from. Quality is horrendous to just above average with a rare sprinkling of gems like putri from Malang. Also not all the girls live in those rooms, some do but the good ones have their own place and just come at night to work. First off the part of my report you pasted refers to the East Bali bypass going to karangasem. The ten or so joints there are those actual karaoke cafe places locals love. I have seen probably at least 50 to 100 on my travels around Bali, there are at least 20 behind carrefour alone. But these venues are basically go and have a few bintangs some girls will come over and sit with you, you can get a fondle and so on and their number then after that whatever you can negotiate. In Sanur there are the two different ones (details in my earlier report) I mentioned and there is also. Horror of horrors I only recommend this place if you have aspirations to become a documentary film maker on the depravities of man. A place we have christened The Goat Mans Alley. Location. As you head out of kuta (towards the fish bowls on jalan simpang siur) before you get to the lights and the petrol station there is a bend in the road. There is a tiny gang on your right, go down it til you come out and can turn left or right. Well don't go either way but park and the tiny alleyway facing you is Goat Mans alley. This place comes with a serious warning. It is basically a rubbish dump with some goats and the theory is that the Working 'girls' are the herders wives. They are not girls. They are the most decrepit middle aged Ibus you will ever see on your mongering sojourns. I have never indulged they are just so hideous and so dark there you have to shine your mobile phone on their face just to see them! My depraved friend who has been through an addiction to these places tells me they are a standard 50k (max 100k) and he takes them into an open hut with a vinyl mat on the floor. Very disturbing. If you take the right and follow the gang you will come out at the bypass directly opposite Grahadi.

The second fleapit is located as follows. As soon as you come to the end of jalan danau poso that joins the bypass you naturally have to turn left towards kuta. I think you going the wrong way Wahoo. starting from 67X, drive out to Danau Poso, and turn right, leaving Circle K to your left. When Danau Poso merges into the by-pass, drive over the center divider, and head down the street in front of you. 30 meters down the road, you see a dirt parking area with a couple trees for shade, as shown in my photo. There is the entrance to the alleyway.

Wahoowit we are confusing each other haha! Ok the gang behind circle K has at the end I think 66X which is a big courtyard parking area with lots of kos. Well if you are in the area .. Jl Tambak Sari is the one with the most action. Tirta Nada itself has one set on "bungalows". Tirta Ending has a few, as others have reported.

Here is a follow up to my earlier report on my trip to Sanur; with more detail. From my limited "mongering" experience in Bali, pickings on the street are fairly lean in Sanur. The place is located on kebo iwa. If you come from canggu area, you see the police station on your right. Right after that is a petrol station. The road has a big turn. Just to add about ATM's if you pick one that dispenses 100,000 IDR notes the transaction limit is usually 3,000,000.00 a time. (335.00 USD)
On the face of the ATM there will be a sign that says 50,000 or 100,000 notes.

@ Hamaca - Bali is not as monger-friendly as Bangkok, in my opinion. For a start, it’s not as easy to move about and the addresses are not as easy to pin down. Many reports in this (Bali) forum struggle to give directions to one place or another. You’ll see a good bit of “go to the bakery and walk 50 metres…” and other such directions. It often looks more like a treasure hunt than street address information! And the bars will not have “hostesses” or other girls so obviously working. I think Bangkok, or anywhere in Thailand, is just easier and more obvious. Bali is not that difficult, except that the action is more observable later at night.

Pelangi Bali, a *****house: We had a good driver who took us to this place. There is a bar on the top floor, and private rooms downstairs. 600K (= roughly $60) was the rate the driver negotiated for me for an hour with a sexy young girl.
Sanur, a city: Behind a Circle K, there are two fishbowls that have been discussed at length in previous posts. Younger girls of various quality. The girls looked bored and the atmosphere was unpleasant. We wanted to take girls out of there, but the price quoted was a ridiculous 1.6 million (= $160).
Living Room / Hu’u, two upscale clubs: One Friday night we went to these two venues, which are across the street from each other. There were four or so blatant hookers at the first table inside the door of Hu’u. I think the 1 million that you were quoted and paid are prices for 'stupid tourists' and yes, i've been a stupid tourist many places also, so don't take it personally. Bali is NOT a mongering destination. it's a place that one can 'get some' while one is here enjoying other things. Joga or Yogakarta has the largest red light district in Indonesia and if it sex and only sex is what you want then that is the place. I'm up in Ubud, which is more than a little quiet and i rather like it that way. Kuta is a toilet and things get a bit better as one goes up the coast a bit. Jakarta has plenty, but it's a very different place altogether.

Westcoast - some people may disagree with me, but Bounty on Jalan Legian has lots of girls every night starting at 11 PM. A large group of WGs is usually sitting/standing to the left as your enter the disco section. There are other night clubs too in Kuta - but I found Bounty to have the most number of WGs if not the quality. Depending on your negotiation skills, you can score ST for 300K and LT for 500K (or less). Once you venture out of Kuta, there are plenty of clubs too. I suggest PMing 1Ball if you are planning to go to Bali. He lives there.

The location on that map is accurate. From Subroto you turn north, down Jl. Kebo Iwo for about 50-100 m or so. Personally, I found Lombok - particularly Senggigi, to be a barren wasteland as far as hobbying is concerned. I was able to find massage joints where a happy ending was offerred, but no full service. Bali is, IMHO, far better. Personally, as a 50 year-old overweight balding gent, I liked the ready availability of the X-houses in Sanur. If you have some game, you might prefer the Kuta/Legian/Seminyak area. Although frankly, I think you might actually prefer Thailand - maybe Koh Samui or Phuket.
