False Report on Frank Casio's My Place
WARNING.
Don't ever go or send money to Frank Casio's My Place.
Frank Casio's My Place is a real shit hole.
Clle. 85 #51-27 Apt. 301-Itagui-Barrio Santa Maria 85-La Mayorista.
Near by there are many nice hotels much cheaper (usd10-25 / night)
Very clean with internet stereo flat screen tv and
Big beautiful beds with orthopedic mattresses.
Young pretty girls stay with you for 2 hours for only 25k.
The same woman would charge 300-400 USD in Panama for TLN.
In Panama food is great and taxis are cheap but hotels cost more.
Colombians are like snakes it's all about šplattaš money.
But my airport taxi driver was very nice and helpfull.
I live in a hot country right on the beach
And enjoy the high altitude and cool weather for a change.
The only thing correct in this post is the address. Very clean apartment. Flat screens in every room. Nice beds. Not great but nice. 25 / night per person.
Try it, you will like it.
Hello,
I have about 2 weeks to spend in Colombia in the beginning of December and can't decide on the best itinerary and how to divide my time between various towns. I am leaning towards spending most of the time in Medellin because of its supposed great weather, paisas, the vibe, day trips, lower cost of living, etc. Bogota, on the other hand, appears to have more things to do. I will be flying NYC to BOG anyways and then a connecting flight to MDE, so airfare isn't really a factor. The longer I stay at one place, the better deal I can get on the apartment and work on my game with the girls.
I speak very comfortable Spanish and have been able to get a decent amount of non-pro action in Peru and Argentina. This will be my first time in Colombia.
So gentlemen, in your opinion, should I just stick to MDE and save BOG for the next time? Will I be bored out of my mind? May be I should visit Cali for a couple of days. What is the best itinerary for a monger?
You comments are greatly appreciated.
I see other than BOG, and MDE you also are thinking of Cali. It is hot there, but with you speaking Spanish you will have a picnic there. Lots of hot Non pro's who are not jaded by Gringos like MDE. The key to a newbee in Cali in search of P4P is finding a good taxi driver. He will take you to so many places your head will be swimming.
I don't go there anymore after being there a couple of times because my airline does not fly to there from the States. Also I'm more interested in Pro's which makes MDE the best choice for me in Colombia.
Great minds. Well sort of
I dig the begining of December in Colombia too. Especially Medellin and Cali for me, I'm not a big Bogota fan, but that's just my preferences.
I actually prefer to hang in one city on a trip. I like to make contacts, get girls comfortable with me, get more comfortable with them, build friendships and get more GFE, etc.
Not easy to do with 4 days here. 4 days there, unless maybe you've already got your contacts set up from previous trips.
What I do sometimes is choose say Medellin as my home city for the trip, then maybe take a side trip of a few days somewhere else, coming back to Medellin where I've built some relationships already.
I definitely do not get bored after a few days in one city, but then again that's me, I'm pretty relaxed about it all.
Some guys like to jump about, and don't care about making friendships and contacts as much, just pure PFP, and maybe the "few days here, and a few days there" program is better suited for them.
We're almost on the same page Mr Ricker. Like we said before; early Dec is one of the best times to go to Colombia, rocking parties everywhere, and great selection of semi-pros coming out of left field for that Christmas money for a new Playstation! I see where you're coming from about sticking to a home base, frequenting the same few spots, get a vibe and or a little connection with a few chicks. This is what I did when I first started coming down but for a first trip down and with two weeks to spend it might be better to try a few different cites as they do have their own unique vibe. Bogota and Medellin are the top two destinations with Cartagena and Cali not quite played out yet.
When I was a kid working in restaurants an older guy-waiter-buddy of mine gave me some advice to me about traveling that I have always held on to;
"If you're having fun stay, if it sucks leave and try another place"
Could not be any simpler

Fase Dos and San Diego Show open on Sunday nights?
Hey everyone. I'm making my second trip to Medellin in early December. I wanted to know if anyone knows if Fase Dos and San Diego Show are open on Sunday nights since I know that is family night in Medellin and if so are they open until regular hours as the other nights?
Thanks
Frank's Place / My Place!
hi guys,
i'm not closed, so don't sweat it. i've just been working a little more from word of mouth and references. some guy showed up without making a reservation and that's probably what started the rumor. since i sold my house in envigado and moved to tampa, i made my place my vacationning spot. so when i go back to medellin every 3-4 months appr. and stay there 30+ days i stay at my place. so i have a room ready for me when i arrive, the street room, which some of you guys don't like anyways because of the street noise. i travel very light with a back back on spirit airlines, since i have everything i need there already. yeah, your typical walmart gringo, ha, ha.
so, no, frank's place-my place is far from closed, but there are only two rooms available now. so you can't just show up, reservations only. my watchdogs won't let anybody in without a confirmed reservation.
