I was about to try a soapy for the first time and I had managed to select Nataree after countless hours of research. Well, we know that Nataree won't be happening anytime soon.

Any thoughts about whether we should stay away from the soapies for awhile? Is this an isolated incident and typical of the way events transpire in Bangkok. Or is this the first domino to drop with several other soapies and / or massage parlors in line to get hit next.

Although it is not easy to make predictions about where this is going to lead, this doesn't look like a mere shake-down where the business will re-open once the right people are paid. I suspect there now must be some chaos at the local police station, which I would think also has jurisdiction over many other soapies in that area, soapies that almost undoubtedly similarly do not operate "clean" insofar as their "governmental or police relationships" are concerned.

Had a total of 8 days in BKK this time around due to the way scheduling worked out. 2 days with a new girl from January and 4 with my regular that I have known for years now. That left 2 days of "free" time. Started with checking out MITU on a Friday night. Surprisingly not that many girls available and even fewer once he noted who wasn't already occupied. But I wanted to try the place out so went with the best available who was a gold class girl. Would say in person she was a 7/10 so not bad, but no stunner. Rooms are bit better than average and her skills were decent, again 7/10. Pretty sure it was Ami from the website. Took the 90 min hoping for two rounds which she certainly tried, but Michael jr wasn't co-operating, and got the VIP room upgrade for free, but never used the bed only the tub and inflatable mattress. The nuru part and body massage were some of the best I have experienced. She generally seemed to want to please which was nice and the service was better than the average MP. Is it worth the extra baht? Honestly I can't say. I left satisfied, but not sure if I would repeat. Still it's a bit different than the norm and worth checking out. I doubt very much any foreign NGO would be allowed to lead a raid in junta-controlled Thailand.

Excellent reply!! This politic of CBJ at Nataree is just non-sense. Who thinks I will fly 10-14 hours from Europe to see really beautiful girls for getting CBJ? Especially in BKK where some thousands other swill give it even without asking and frequently even CIM.

They probably just used some NGO as a scape goat for the raids. We all know that the raids were done because some local leaders in that area are feuding. So they just blamed the raid on an NGO to hide the fact that it was purely done for local-political purposes regarding business development.

Ah, it's good that the customers didn't get in trouble. And I assume the papasans and the girls will get off free as well? I actually became "friends" with some of the girls and papasans there. Hoping they are ok. Am wondering if I should contact them and see how they are doing, but don't want to get into trouble myself for contacting them!

Meanwhile secret hotels full of 'too young' girls and tiger meat will remain open for the Chinese package tourists.

According to reports Nataree had over 400 girls on its books and 90% of them are Thai nationals over the age of 18, so that's a lot of girls who will be looking for work. Where will they go? Isn't Alaina owned by the same people?

The NGO thing now sounds like an open excuse to raid this place, at least it looks good on the press. According to some papasans from other parlors, the Nataree business mode has been too flamboyant, and they pissed off lots of big bosses in the same field, and lots big shots along that food chain. A lot of jealousy from competitors as well. Also another point worth mentioned is that the shareholder of Nataree may not belong to the same camp as the establishment. All this sound too familiar again, probably another internal conflict.

Well, that sucks that Nataree is closed. So what happened to the customers that were there during the raid? Anyone know? Did they get in trouble as well? And what happens to the girls? Will they get jail time or just a fine?
