The situation or instance I shared here is-.

We accidentally unlocking phones and apps with fingerprints, when someone asks phone all of a sudden.

And, when you are in deep sleep, people with trust issues can take the phone's fingerprint sensor area near to your finger and get the phone or app unlocked.

If we look at how both of them work-.

You have to manually enter pin which is 4 or 6 digit one, and needs guess work and all. People can't brute force like the way they do it on websites with software. We have limited amount of attempts set in terms of phone security.

Further, patterns can also help.

However, if I am so determined or if someone else is so determined, they can get the shit done irrespective of how much we do to secure something.

When it comes to fingerprint, all it requires is fingerprint and no one has to guess it. All it requires to unlock it is, the point when we are in deep sleep.

Also, I have studied a few instances, and therefore shared it. When it comes to the instance of my friend; yes, fingerprints can be cloned and it happened. Many times we think tech makes it easier. At times, it kinda complicates it as well.

I am not sharing the resource or documentation here since I don't want to get into that. But if in case my statements sound wired, search for fingerprint cloning and all.

Hi bro,

It's not safe with fingerprint sensors. While typing in pin can get noticed at times.

Enabling finger print option makes it much easy for someone to get hold of conversations etc.

We may have to face consequences as finger print is very easy option. Even accidentally, apps can be unlocked.

If someone has trust issues they can place the finger on the app and can get the details.

Fortunately, the old mechanism of the app locks is safe.

P.S. - Based on personal experiences wherein money is lost because of finger prints mess, as shared by one of my friend. And I work in tech and digital space.
