You should say "Sorry I don't deal with advance payments. " and move on. Even if it is legit, there are too many scammers out there for it to be true. 99.99% a scam. Advance payments are always and will be scams. You should ask yourself this question instead, "If I were to run an exotic business, would I ask for advance payments?" think without bias and you will come to the conclusion of no. Who will ask for advance when they know they can loose potential $ because of it.

That 2000 can go somewhere better, maybe in your own mongering budget.
