Me and my friends are Avasa regulars. Despite having paid for this weekend (Sat & Sun) for booking room at Hotel Avasa, we had to move out to a friend's place because the hotel staff created issues with guests, not just female but also male guests. Also, the front desk manager was actually rude, to whom I had to give a piece of my mind. So the next time you're planning to book a hotel room and meet friends in the room, just dump Avasa. There are many more options.

Until I read this post, I lived under the assumption that we were being singled out. But this now seems to be the norm at Avasa.

I am planning a trip to Hyderabad and looking for a guest friendly hotel. Last time I stayed at Avasa hotel but I had issues getting girls in. Any suggestions? I will definitely post a report. What about Westin?

I am an NRI who visits India regularly. I have never lived in Hyderabad and definitely never mongered here. The last city I lived in India was Bangalore where I had some great experiences, which were some of my first few FRs on ISG. I contacted them too with a similar copy paste message and a few of them responded.

A week before my departure I compiled a list of who will be in Hyderabad around the same time as me. A few of them are local Hyderabad couples too. There are two ways these couples operate, either they stay at a 5 star hotel and we visit them in their room which is the case with most of North couples who are touring Hyderabad. The second way is we book room in the couple name and once they check in we visit, which is the case with local Hyderabad couples, though I had a visiting Bangalore couple too request that I book the room in their name. I kind of preferred the first way and it was much more hassle free, not mentioning the extra money for booking hotel.

I landed in Hyderabad on a Friday midnight, while chatting with one of the couples they mentioned they are staying at a 5 star hotel near the cyber towers, so I also booked myself into the same hotel knowing that its a friendly hotel.

Day 1 - Saturday.

Cpl1: Once I got up in the morning I messaged the couple in my hotel, but there was no response. So messaged a local Hyderabadi Muslim couple form old city. The guy met me at hotel reception, while waiting for him looked around the hotel lobby and noticed the vibe is different from the Hitech city area, this being in heart of Banjara hills had a lot more local Telugu affluent people and had more upscale vibe. He took me to their hotel room which again was better than my hotel room The guy was speaking really good English and the girl stayed quiet. Once money settled, he left the room. This couple is from Delhi, so we got talking about my Delhi experiences and slowly got into the deed. Tried this Spa called (Dah--ra) Spa in Gachibowli after reading a review on the forum.

Place: Very small, have to go into a clinic to get to the spa. Probably 5 tiny rooms with no attached baths. Counter was 3 k.
