Yes; it was recently carved out of the Nana Hotel parking structure below the swimming pool. Strikers moved in when their Rajah parking lot location was slated for redevelopment.

The NH management seems keen to further monetize the property location ala adding Hooters as tenants, and having the big neon sign facing the Suk soi 4 intersection. Good news really: if they have increased tenant incomes they are less likely to do something stupid like gentrifying the property by putting up expensive condos, or building more useless retail space.

Which is likely the reason that it is for sale. I liked them when they were in the parking lot of the Rajah Hotel and I would drink, play pool and occasionally take out from there. After they moved it seemed like the whole vibe changed as did much of the staff. No fun even for former fans like me. The other buzz going around is just how much the rent increases are on Soi 4. The landlords have been (unintentionally?) forcing businesses to close with their greed.

100% sure. I'm booked thru United using FF miles. OZ 211 from SFO to ICN, then OZ 741 from ICN to BKK.

With US domestic on UA you are pretty much screwed and need to really push. On international, in or out bound you are not much better. Many airports do not have shower facility. I can tell you that Business does not get any better treatment.

Knock on wood, CX has always taken care of me. Had been diverted a several times because of weather and everyone got put up. They just loaded the same plane and crew the next day. The higher up the food chain you are with them, the better the service. Had good resolutions with BA and LH in and outbound. I don't know your specific situation, but I would much rather have flight delay problems in Asia. I usually get put up for free. 3 months ago, I was getting put up by UA because of a mechanical problem and I heard the supervisor tell the staff to stop issuing vouchers. Not sure what happened to the sods behind me traveling on their own dime.

Earlier this month I had a few days in AC, which I have been doing about this time of year for a few years now. I flew with Qatar Airways, in order to fly right into Clark, unfortunately it all went wrong in Doha when I missed the connection due to late arrival. Its the first time I tried that flight, and coming from a 50 minute delayed departure at London (not uncommon these days), the transfer time of 45 minutes was obviously a problem. Anyway Qatar airways looked after the 13 of us pretty well, and offered choice of the same flight following day, or Manila and bus transfer 7 hours later same day. So we took that, and finally arrived at Clark 12 hours late. I had cancelled my airport pick up to Queens Hotel, but was able to get a drop off, as the "bus transfer" from Manila turned into a fleet of 7 seater taxis with 3 - 4 in each.!

Actually several reasons my Soapy attendance dropped right off:

1. Lack of a body slide at many venues was just one.

2. Dominance of artificial surgery looks especially bad nose jobs. Girls that used to be pretty, wrecking themselves with completely unnecessary nose jobs.

3. So many dick scared girls used to fucking Thai men.

4. Effort to travel to the venue for clubs not near the MRT.

5. Other political reasons like girls too closely managed by agents in some venues. Yes I know bargirls have pimps/BFs too.

Please, no need to be PC. Just say obese. It is IMHO diet and culture. Some would also say lack of self respect, image, or social pressure. I was shocked when I was first classified as obese. OMG.

I missed that story but airlines do have policies about overweight passengers. Not sure they care about PC more than profits since they will charge wherever they can make a buck. They are making these seats smaller now but nothing worst than being caught next to the fat guy like Steve Martin did on Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

Know some guys / gals who only travel first / business because of their size. The standing room only seats are supposedly coming soon. There is a push to ban US welfare food stamps from being used to buy some junk food. NYC wants to ban jumbo soda. Not sure how far that is going to go. Was just looking around a hotel lobby and noticing the number of large business people. 70% were obese. Those that were not were probably Indian / foreign B1 visa holders! LOL!!

IMHO, real problem. Was in a Democratic state where 70% of births last year were through social security. Met many people who were paying 20 K for health insurance. Demographics.

Also, during the "past president's administration" Canada introduced a rule that required airlines to provide an extra seat free of charge to those who weighed more than a certain weight. Are you going to blame Obama for that as well?

Don't know about that one, but he has done tremendous damage to my pocket book (and many others I know) and my personal security and as a result my personal comfort.
