I was there last night and noticed many more punters than girls. Unusual for Pattaya as Ibar was jumping with hot girls later in evening. I had a date of sorts and she had never been to RedCar and I could tell there was a gleam in her eyes forecasting future visits due to the disproportionate ratio of men to women. The women in there last night were not so great either and my attractive date was getting quite a few looks from the other patrons -- Always a good sign. It also appeared there were quite a few older guys at RC who were in pretty good shape and wondered if there was some sort of athletic event going on in the city.

Will be preparing a report about last night soon. It was another bizarre though ultimately satisfying evening. There is no place like Pattaya. That's for sure.

It's nice to hear Ibar is going strong. My favorite spot by a mile. I will be in town starting April 28 for a couple of weeks.

RC is a good place to take a date too though. Less smokey than 808 and less crowded than Ibar. It never occurred to me but I may just do it in the future.

When I am on a "date" I like to take the girls to that Crazy Issan place at the end of WS. I just love to watch them go wild to the "country music". Though drinks there are a real ripoff.

The previous posters are right. RC girls tend to be older and not as good looking as Ibar. I used to find gems there but last few times I've been there I have struggled even find one girl I'd consider taking.

This is of course all my humble opinion and YMMV.

I have observed that a couple of gems I know that used to go to Red Car have now set up shop at Ibar / Insomnia.

This can probably be said about the other discos as well but I think RC is especially poorly lit and you can get a rude awakening when you walk out of the club with your newfound friend and see her in the light. This happened to me last trip with a girl who I really thought was a stunner but then turned out to be a lot older once I got her out on WS. Fortunately we were still just kind of chatting and had made no agreement to leave together so I was abel to abort mission tactfully.

So remember to examine the goods closely before you buy. 555.

I think your friend Amy may actually be confusing RC with Ibar as RC is too small to have separate techno and hip hop areas (and as you know that describes the Ibar / Insomnia setup to a tee) . RC mostly plays a mix of hip hop and top 40 stuff. Rarely techno if I remember correctly.

Recently I was banging again Amy (whom I lay-reported on a while back) from Addict Massage in Bangkok, and when she goes to Pattaya she says she likes Red Car.

Now I'm more familiar with Insomnia / I-bar, where I've banged 10 freelancers (all dutifully lay-reported on in this August forum), so I'm curious about the difference / similarities between the two places. I'll almost surely try Red Car on my next Pattaya jaunt. In the meantime, any advice from "insiders" (pun intended) would be welcome. I tried to search but the forum's engine does not seem to like red car, or red, or car.

Amy says there's a techno area and a hip-hop area. She prefers the hip-hop area. Looks like there's a lot of dancing involved. Also it looks less freelancer-oriented, maybe more just normal girls trying to unwind? She also says it's hopping from 9 pm to 4 am, which I find hard to believe. No smoking, apparently, even shisha?

I have heard that type of observation before. We actually joked about the art of speaking Singlish. And, yes, her English speaking abilities were much better than most Singaporeans I have encountered.

Jumping in on a rather old post, but fluency in English with a non-Thai accent has nothing to do with being Singaporean. If anything, with all due respect, the average Singaporean's "fluency" in English is anything but fluent.

I am going to be in Pattaya for three nights from April the 13th to Saturday the 16th. I have been to Pattaya before and to Bangkok many times, but never over Songkran. Leaving aside the certainly of being soaked with water, how is the talent in Pattaya over this holiday? Do many of the girls head out for the holiday, or do they stay in town? I am also wondering whether BKK would be a better call, given the festival. Any insights?

Oh, and on my last trip to Pattaya, I must say I found Saffire to be the best gogo all around. Any other particular place that comes highly recommended?

I been to Songkran 2 time if you don't want to get wet don't come Thai are crazy they will soak you in Bangkok, but Pattaya is not as bad not as crazy as in Bangkok, I think you should come and see what is Thai new yr is about but for me I rather go to China for the Chinese new year.

Try street vendors on Beach Road towards Walking St, east side. Also on 2nd Rd, west side, between Soi 14-15. I bought a box of 50 recently in BKK for 700 b, that's 14 b a dose.

And it is anybody's guess what the quality of those are. Keeping meds outside in the hot and humid air cannot really improve the quality. Generic Thai viagra or "Sidegra" is for sale in any pharmacy I ever tried and cheap enough so no risk of people trying to fake it.
