I totally agree. There are a few hotels in Viman Nagar that you could explore. Also a online deal could save you few 1000's.

Ibis, Novotel, O, St Lauren etc are good ones if you can shell money. Else there are many service apartments in that area. A simple search could give you many options. Few spots where you can pick in KP are, opposite carnival, near the ship, near Westin, near Prems restaurant etc.
