I've been asked to show my outbound ticket by the IO on a couple of occasions. The first IO made me buy a ticket out of Thailand on the spot before I was allowed entry. On both occasions when I was asked it was because I was nearing 180 days in Thailand for the year on a regular tourist Visa. Since I'm now a regular guy who barely spends 100 days in Thailand per year I have not been asked for an onward ticket on my last 3 visits.

My long term Cambodian Visa makes all the difference in my regular runs in.

The ticket requirement is usually airlines. Air Asia has never asked me. You buy your ticket out when you go for your extension.

How did you like Emmanuelle, Tara or Maria?

I'd say LaBelle is the best of them. I saw a decent lineup there on a Sunday night, so other days must be even better.

Emmanuelle is also very good and popular, so good to get there early. Their rooms are not as good as the others though.

Tara is a great option close to the airport. I found a good lineup there on a weekday afternoon.

Poseidon and Utopia were not as good by a wide margin.

Maria has most girls.

The most attractive girls I met were at Tara, LaBelle, Emmanuelle, BlackCaviar. The most money I paid was at Maria and Black Caviar.

I am a frequent traveller to Bangkok lately. I do not normally get time to indulge in pleasure as I got for work all the time. Last week I had an evening free. Stayed at Sukhumvit hotel this time. Walked to Thermae and it was full of girls. Took a beer nd walked two rounds to pick a girl. Picked a cutie. She quoted 3000 and no negotiation. Wen to room, and she was cute, but average body. Usual service, nothing special. Wham, bam, thank you ma'm.

Next night I went into one of the bars in nana plaza. The big one on left side after you enter. saw a cutie on stage who was very chatty and jumping around. Asked mama san to invited her over for a drink. She was very receptive to my roaming hands and very playful. Took her back to my room. 1000 bf and 3000 for her. She was an eye candy and behaved like my girlfriend..enjoyed her in all ways possible.
Perfect night for me. Will be back.

My recent experience at Thermae is they all start at 2800-3000. But many if not most will come down to 2100-2500 baht. Personally, coming from USA I don't mind paying 3000 for a GFE. What I do mind is inflexibility and rules. So, if she tells me no negotiation I move on as she will be the same way when you're fucking her. I take my time at Thermae and talk to a few of the girls. Then I circle back since they all know I have options. Funny thing is I'll negotiate them down and maybe give them what they originally asked for depending on good the sex after.

Though one should remain vigilant, but to say there is risk of electrocution in these months is stretching is too too much. One could get really frightened with this. Plus if its raining just get inside a massage parlour and enjoy indoors.

You might think so, but just two summers ago I was walking out of the Marriot Marquis on Sukhumvit during flooding (they still have the best buffet in that area, at their Goji restaurant). The rain had stopped, but streets were still flooded, and taxi "home" was impossible to get, so I thought, like you say, it was a good time to get a massage at one of the nearby massage shops while waiting for the water to ebb and taxis to become available.

I was wearing sandals, so stepping into water was not a big problem, but after less than a minute of walking I felt a tingling in my whole body. Not necessarily being the sharpest pencil in the drawer, I for a moment wondered if it was the sight of a pretty young girl ready to massage me that was causing the tingling, but deduced that no, it was voltage running through my body.

You are free to go for a walk yourself of course, but I would not advise it. Being frightened about it may very much be the correct thing to be. And there may be other things than live wires in the water too.

I was in BKK in the dry season, cruising on water taxis on the Chao Phraya.

Noticed the concrete dike along old town and Chinatown is old and very high; the ground and houses next to the dike were about 10 feet lower than river level, even in the dry season.

Rainy season creeps me out.

Plus the amount of covered walkways in Bangkok associated with the trains is amazing. Once you go up to the platform there are all kinds of interconnects and paths where you barely have to get wet if you are staying on some of the main lines.

There are days (evenings usually) when Bangkok will be flooded to the extent you will not be able to drive a car / get a taxi for a few hours as the roads are so flooded, and you should avoid walking at this time due to very real risks of electrocution or other bad things, but while the rainfall is heavy, it is also mostly over in an hour or two.

It's not bad enough to factor into my decisions on whether to go or not. Merly a minor annoyance occasionally when you're planning to meet someone, and they send you a picture of their flooded outside and say they can't come.

This was 20 years ago on my first trip. It was raining hard and I past by a metal sewer grate / drain. OMG! It was just like in the movies. Rats were pouring out of the sewers drains into the streets. Freaked me out.

I normally stay on Soi 8 when in Bangkok, so have been past Lolita's and Kasalong many times. Most of their girls go into the 'not even if it was free' category. Only been to 7th Heaven a couple of times, and the girls are a lot better looking even if it is 50% more expensive (and the 2 girl service leaves a lot to be desired).

What was wrong with the 2 girl service?

How do you get around? MRT & BTS are fine. I once saw a long tail boat and car fill up at the same station (this was not on Sukhumvitt or Ratchda). If this is a major concern stay near your favorite place to monger but this wouldn't make my top ten list of considerations when planning a trip to Thailand.

I've been to Singapore many times, which has a fairly consistent climate of about 160 mm of rain each month and didn't notice it being particularly rainy. Bangkok is about 180 mm during the rainy season, so it doesn't look much worse than Singapore is all year round. However, you do hear some horror stories about flooding in Bangkok when it rains.

So how wet is the wet season. Does it seriously impinge on nocturnal activities?

Billboard is packed almost every night and there are a lot of girls. I would say that the quality during has gone down a bit since around New Years. Barfined 6 girls this past trip and each time I was quoted 700 + 4000 for ST. Some would negotiate with me but others did not budge.

If it just rains it's not a problem.

If it floods, however, beware. Don't Wade through the floods. There are things in the water. Horrible things, loathsome and bloodthirsty. The rain starts their life cycle and when it floods they are ready to feed. Hungry, slathering, needing the Taste of blood and flesh. You step in the flood, and the next thing you know, your feet have been stripped to the Bone as you scream and agony and the boys in brown attempt to pull you to safety.

The worst is at night, when they surf the floods in empty pizza boxes and plastic cups leading to the rending of Flesh not only below the water, but above. Think of the horror at you watch them swarm a lady boy ripping and tearing at the parts not needed anymore. I remember seeing a group of Indian tourists who were just happily sharing a Coke before the creatures surfed down on them with teeth slashing and chattering, leaving nothing but skeletons holding hands.

If you didn't know why Thailand empties out during rainy season, you do now. Beware.
