I'm in BKK, have some light reporting to do of my day and a half when I can but for now I have a quick question on wechat safety and precautions.

I never use these apps but I've been browsing and got to chatting with a few girls offering services. One or two I considered kept asking my hotel name and room no even before I could confirm, about 5 or six times. Is this normal for wechat type transactions. I've already given my street name and the general vicinity but I don't want to reveal more until I can confirm the booking. One girl in particular keeps lowering her price, now down to 700 from 1 k asking my hotel and room number. Could be some kind of scam or thing where they show up and kick up a fuss in the hotel room or lobby to get you to pay them to go away or some shit like that.

LOL. I am laying next to a young lady I met and booked on TF right now; clean, tattoo and piercing-free, studious hot university type, a bit bigger all around (not fat. What humidity? LOL Bangkok generally is no where near as hot as it felt 25 years ago (perhaps I got used to it somewhat). Rarely seems to hit 40 see. The city's haze of pollution reduces the power of the shining sun when it hits you. Hot days in my home country can be higher actual teperature and harder to tolerate. Can always go inside to Air Con.

Only "mad dogs and Englishmen" walk in the midday sun. Seriously it is silly to be walking around Bangkok in the middle part of the day.

I remember a crazy old buddy who complained he had walked several km around Bangkok and was too stuffed to get up to any mischief. Silly! Walk only short distances when it is too hot, and only if able to be in mostly shade.

Early morning or after 6 PM is okay For shorter walks. Running laps of Lumphini should be an early morning activity I think.

Out in the country, can be somewhat hotter during the day with clear skys (but fortunately cooler at night).

Adaptivia, to most people here, it's not about how many. It's about quality.

Yes, even at 10:30 at night you'll see some attractive women at Thermae. Sometimes you'll be surprised at the attractiveness of some of them.

But it still doesn't compare to what is there early.

The hottest girls are there early. And they get picked early.

Go late 3 or 4 nights in a row. And then go early 3 or 4 nights in a row. You'll see.

When I first came to Bangkok, just the plentiful supply of girls to FKK made my eyes not quite as effective.

After a while you get pickier.

Not that most of those early girls will even talk to us older, white guys!

Landed at BKK that afternoon and took the train from airport to my hotel at BTS ChitLom. The Bangkok infrastructure is definitely much better compared than Jakarta. Checked into the Renaissance, caught up with few hours of sleep before heading out to Nana Plaza. By the way, the humidity in Bangkok is really nasty and worse than Jakarta, which makes walking an uncomfortable experience. Otherwise, everything else is so accessible. Definitely a win there.

Now here comes the downside. First, ladyboys, ladyboys, ladyboys. They are everywhere. I have to admit that some of them are really attractive, and I could have picked them in a heartbeat if not for the facts. This mixture makes me wary about picking one off the streets.

After a beer at Nana, I walked to Thermae. I have been told that ladyboys are not allowed in there, so you should be getting the real deal. I had read about the ambiance and watched YouTube videos, but to be there physically still feels different. As mentioned time and time again from past forum postings, this is definitely an area catered to the East Asian clientele. Which also means the girls are required to be passive and just stand along the table sides like goods to be inspected. I guess the Japanese and the Koreans and the Chinese don't like to be hassled and prefer to survey first before making the next move of negotiations.

There were plenty of attractive girls that night. Many of them would smile at me or at least made feeble attempts. As I walked down the aisle, I chatted with a few of them. Some of them were only interested in ST, while those that do LT cannot stay for too long in the morning. One mentioned that she had to leave at 6 AM for her 7 o'clock college class. Another one mentioned that she had a baby sitting job and also have to leave by 6. Unfortunately, none of them really clicked for me. This is starting to get depressing.

Later, I walked to Insanity Club, paid my cover charge and went up the club level. This time the vibes there was so much better, with the area very packed even at after 1 AM. I walked around to see if I could go one that night. For whatever reason, I was attracted to an Asian looking lady gyrating with her friend to the music. She would dance with me for a good 15 minutes, and finally mentioned her prices into my ears. Turned out that she is Uzbek / Korean mix, and I can feel that chemistry with her. Now with that negotiation out of the way, we were able to enjoy our time drinking and gyrating to the music, and ending the night with a supper and great session back in my hotel room.

That's quite a conclusion for a first timer. Maybe you should have reserved that opinion until you had a chance to visit Thermae multiple times, or read ET's post below.

It is quite possible some of the girls you saw coming in after 10:30 pm were returning from an earlier takeout from around 9 pm or so. And some girls who are taken by 9 pm don't return to Thermae and you wouldn't have seen them at all.

I went to Thermae Bar for the first time tonight on a weeknight around 10:30 pm.

Very awesome experience! It was really packed, not sure why, but I'the say you have no issue finding a girl around 11 pm. I don't think all girls speak English, but the one I met did.

9 pm to 12 am probably best time that said plenty girls in BKK and freelancers from soi 4 to Terminal 21, soi 11 etc, Beer Garden if still open.

The best time is usually between 8 PM-9 PM when the bar opens and you will have a big selection.

I am not in Thailand at the moment but when I visited, the quality on an average was about 6.5/10.

Most girls can converse in English but the fluency varies.

Thermae is a hit or miss in my opinion and since some of them are girl next door kind, where you may have awesome experience. It is worth a shot even though I didn't indulge in that bar.

Have happened to come across this piece of discussion comparison between Phuket & Pattaya, but here comes my wish to have veteran brothers in Pattaya & Bangkok to tell me how is yours comments or comparison between Bangkok & Pattaya. Considering taking out anything about beaches, just only purely mongering & Same Thai pussy!

Herewith I listed some criteria for distinction:

1) quality of the girls.

2) quantity of the girls.

3) Bar fine cost for ST & LT.

4) girl cost for ST & LT.

5) quality & safeties of Hotel rooms.

Due to the distance getting to Pattaya and back to Bangkok when departing Thailand, There should be some areas of distinction between Bangkok and Pattaya or else why traveling to Pattaya if you only after same Thai pussy be it hot or average Thai girls.

There are really no big differences between Bangkok and Pattaya in all your categories, except perhaps quantity of girls where Pattaya will be tops.
