irisa wellness and spa is the name of this place and has been opened about 20 days ago. at the first glance, it looks like a decent and legitimate place, and so i stopped having any expectations. they have a slimming centre, full blown nail art / salon for girls etc etc and also a doctors cabin who sits there for some hours during the day.

they had 2-3 massage rooms and a choice of 3 therapists, who were all 20-22 year old girls from nagaland. there was a "buy 1 get 1 free" deal and thus we paid a total of 2600 between the two of us and got 60 minute balinese massage each.

as usual, i tried to avoid wearing the disposable undies but had to relent as the therapist was adamant that i wear it. that was the first sign of what was to follow. pretty standard massage, i would only rank it it 4/10 as a professional massage. the girl was not very chatty and kept at her job in a quiet manner. asked for extra services a couple of times but was flatly denied. asked whether she would be willing to go to a private house for giving massages, but the answer was a firm no.

after regrouping outside the spa, rohan and me exchanged notes and the net result / response from his therapist was also similar. bottom line = avg massage without any extras for 1300 inr per person. i would pay 3k for a much better massage at a much better place in ahmedabad. that also without extras. but would not return here!
