Hotels are going to be lease bothered about age of the person so don't worry about it. But usually when I meet someone younger, I ask them to book a room and pay for the room while I book another room in my name. This is just for my safety and privacy. Damage purely depends on number of shots and how the person look. I am usually a one shot guy so max I pay is 15 to 18 k. You need to ask all things you want to try to see if the other person is comfy or not.

I agree with you in toto, this is the right strategy and works for me too. Anyone who hints at platonic or virtual should be eliminated. Most often I don't pay for casual dates unless I am really keen to meet the girl and the amount is reasonable and not the kind of amount one would pay for private meets. For eg anyone asking for 10 k is out, and something up to 5 k is reasonable as long as you have verified the girl and not in advance. There are few girls who won't say platonic but will keep leading you on with small small request for money or gift and keep meeting you for coffe meal drinks and squeeze a considerable amount from you without getting into a private meet. So be careful.

Haven't been on SA in almost two years now but back in 2018-2021 phase I came across a lot of girls there who suggested platonic meet first but didn't demand any compensation for it. Obviously there were some weird nuts who'd ask for money from the get go but the rest didn't always have the wg mindset of making money by the hour unless we get to the act. I agree with you. Let me clarify, that I turn down most people who want platonic. If I do agree, the first meet is not compensated. That weeds out those who look for only transactional and want to be paid to show up for coffee.

I seek common interests and need to feel an emotional connection (apart from being sexually attracted). Typically someone well educated and able to chat with me on a variety of topics.
There is some kissing / touching / PDA on our dates, at the platonic stage. If she does not want that I'm not interested. Not wanting to be seen with me in public is also a deal breaker.
If her body language shows she's not into me, I end it.

I'd like someone who wants something from me other than money (like job or internship leads, or help with admission etc).
Money is a necessary but not sufficient condition, but I look at what I pay as pocket money for her time. I'm not going to bid for her or negotiate a price.
