I agree with your point but this case seems different.

Starting with casual hangouts and slowly progressing towards intimacy seems reasonable. However, investing 40-50 k in 5-6 dates with no physical interaction, not even kissing or hugging & its just for her company without any emotional or physical connection, is difficult to justify. Spending that much to build comfor & then only to realize it's all about her luxury lifestyle, doesn't feel right. I agree with you. Let me clarify, that I turn down most people who want platonic. If I do agree, the first meet is not compensated. That weeds out those who look for only transactional and want to be paid to show up for coffee.
