I completely identify with this. It's too much work to find one decent profile. My membership expired about 10 days back and hence I am not renewing it. More than 10 members have msgd me after expiry of the membership, but I am not confident at all that I would be able to get one good out of it.

P.S. - you had mentioned that SA works very well for you in some other country, do you mind sharing which country is it?

Surprising that one month of membership is useless in generating 5-6 contacts which you could have done with for the rest of the year.

My membership for a month expired recently too and I've the same feeling as you: I'm tired.

I'll wait a while before I get back onto it though there are some messages now after expiry. I sometimes wonder if SA itself does this to tempt us and get us to pay and get back on the horse.

Totally agree with Sandy, no point renewing SA membership getting only scammers and WG's. Atleast for Bangalore.

I have trip planned for Delhi and Chandigarh in coming months, may be will renew then and try to explore.

It took courage for the OP to share his experience. A lot of red flags may seem obvious to us. However, despite running a company and dealing with people for more than the age of some of these girls, I have been scammed more than once.
The only way out is to remember this, no matter what the temptation:

1. No advance ever. Unless you have been seeing her for several months and have her personal details and you can afford to lose the money.

2. She does not love you, miss you, or have any feelings for you, beyond the time you pay her for.

3. If she does not call you, or reply to messages, drop her.

Met this 24 yr old bird at Aerocity for a 3-4 hour meet. Initially, had my doubts as it was fairly easy to get her TG from Seeking. YoungBanger's response from the forum provided some trust to go ahead. The girl is Fair, educated, and an amateur. Had a great time, struck long conversations. Body wise on the bulky side but I have nothing to complain. She insisted on a coffee meet first to get to know each other. But due to time constraints, had to bring her straight to the room.
