Now for unwanted sticker shock: One way flights between Quito and Bogota easily $280.

My question after Rome2Rio crunching: would you rather take a 14 hour bus from Quito to Cali and fly to BOG or take 6 hour bus from Quito to Pasto and fly?

Please listen to this piece of advice. I was in Lima a few days ago, and I'm now in MDE. My Capital One card worked fine in Lima. In MDE it is not working. I have called them twice, and they say there has been no failed attempts. They tell me to clean the card which I did but it did not help. So I also have cash and 3 other debit cards with me so I am ok money wise here.

So my advice is to not depend on just carrying one debit card. I'm not happy as the Cap One card has no fees while the other cards I'm no using do.

I experienced the same outage. I assumed that the site was down for maintenance or something. Was there an outage last week?

The site wasn't down. I had the same issue in New York for couple days. It was definitely not ISP as I tried it with 3 different ISPs: Optimum at home, T-Mobile and AT&T from 2 cellphones. Checked with another member (from USA but different region) to make sure the site is up and he had connection. Used European proxy and was able to connect. Back to normal since Sunday night.

Same for me. Glad things are working again. My browser and internet provider are different so that doesn't appear to have been the problem.

Try access using another browser, like Tor. It works in many cases, also with many media websites that ask to register or block content.
