FYI: The cost of the beers are less in Venus than Troya / Fiebre. Troya / Fiebre are the top tier clubs in terms of prices of drinks. The other clubs Venus / California / Texas are second tier in terms of prices. Prices are lower for beers.

The price of bottled water is definitely not 15 k. It should be less than at Fiebre. At Venus, the bartender is definitely honest. He rolls his eyes up when the waiters try to scam the tourist.

My first trip to Bogota and Colombia for that matter has finally arrived. I flew out of LOS Angeles (LAX) to Houston (IAH) and then on to Bogota (BOG) starting on yesterday afternoon although I didn't arrive until sometime after 5 am today. I decided to stay at the Hotel Tequendama this trip since even though I know both the Ibis and Tequendama Suites were the better options. My reasoning being I'd read of the troubles people had finding the Tequendama Suites and the Hotel Tequendama was a little closer to the action since I wanted to be able to walk to the zona. I figure this trip I'll mostly be doing club girls anyways so no big deal. I ended up getting a free upgrade to a suite upon arrival which was nice so I can't complain especially since I'll be here until Sep 11th (it's Sept 2nd as I'm writing this).

After getting settled in I ended. I ended up heading out to get some supplies from the Oxxo up C10 (mainly water and a few snacks to have on-hand since they didn't have some other items I was seeking). Also ended up getting some lunch at the McDonald's. Needless to say that walk from the Hotel Tequendama to the Oxxo store was pretty short, but didn't take long for me to get hit up by 2 separate beggars one a man with his daughter and the other a woman with her son.

For your reference a bottle of water is 10 k, a beer like Smirnoff or desperado 25 k, a show is 40 k, sometimes 30 k, if you give 50 k and expect change you won't probably never get your 10 k back. 60 k for a show is definitely overpriced. Price for sex varies a lot, there is no standard, a rato is between 90 to 150 k. 150 k being over priced.

After I showered and got ready and then skimmed this site one last time I headed downstairs with the intent to get a cab. However, even though the sun had set (it was now about 7 pm) I still saw lots of women with kids walking around so I figure what the hell if it's safe for them it probably is for a big guy such as myself. I of course did keep to the main area where other people were around so I wasn't seriously pushing my luck and there were lots of police around the closer I got to the zona. I made it over to the zona fine and was quite happy to be able to finally see all the eye candy I'd seen on youtube videos and elsewhere. I walked up and down a few streets trying not to look like my eyes were about to pop out the sockets LOL.

My ultimate goal for the night was going to be either Troya or Fiebre since those are the ones I see mentioned here most. However, I first decided to take a stroll and checkout Venus even though the talent isn't supposed to be on par with either of the aforementioned clubs. Needless to say I'll just stick to the water next time. I ended up taking one of those dancers a black moreno from Cali upstairs for one of those dances for a few songs which set me back 60,000. No idea if that's normal rate for that sort of thing or not LOL. Afterwards I went back downstairs again and was trying to finalize who I'd see before I called it a night. The first girl of the night saw I was still there and came back to hit me up once more to see if I wanted to take her up on her offer of sex, but I declined. There was one other chick I was really interested in but she was occupied dancing for some guys so I decided to just take the moreno chick from Cali. So I took her up to one of the rooms upstairs and got taken care of then left and called it a night. I ended up just walking back to the Hotel Tequendama even though it was after 11 pm at that point, but all was good.

This is unexpected, it seems that some Venezuelan organized criminal organizations are taking over areas traditionally run by Colombian crime lords this seems to be an unexpected turn of events having grown up in Miami and Ecuador there was always a healthy dose of fear of colombians and their criminal connections yet it seems that in their own homeland they are being displaced by a hungrier group of humans that want to "come up" when it comes to dating, competing or running criminal organisation the advantage is always with the one that wants it more in this case it's Venezuelans I found this youtube article interesting it's in Spanish but put the subtitles it is very informative.

Hope you can make it this time-- Ibis a good hotel-- but rooms are small. Right across the street is Teqendama Suites which is a favorite among many guys-.

San Francisco Hotel is a standby also. AirBnb is also good in this area-- many luxury highrise -- The Museo Torre is beautiful-- many others are available-- The Bacata buildin on Calle 19 is a great place to stay too.

So my Bogota trip plans have been jinxed twice in the last 3 years but I hope to make it next month for 2-4 days. Not keen on Santa Fe street action or the casa's. I have non-existent Spanish so hesitant to do the street action on my own and use a translator via phone. I usually prefer agencies even here in the US. I even paid Woodman for his services when I had plans to go a few years back and then never ended up going.

I am looking for recommendations on hotels where taking a girl is a non-issue. Prefer something around $50 a night. Woodman recommended IBIS Museo if I recall but I would like some other recommendations that are similar to IBIS.

Also, if folks can recommend agencies they have used with success. Success means no bait and switch.
